Excellent video. How’s the sound in the garden room? I know you have the wooden flooring and then the rubber mats over it but if you do a jump squat/drop a barbell in it does it sound like the whole shed is going to fall down?

Thanks a mill for the comment!! No not at all… I have clients doing deadlifts, I drop weights myself from time to time…. The only thing I wouldn’t do is drop something from a standing over head position… but no dude… place is sturdy as a proper building… I’ve an assault runner too and I’m always using it in my training and no reverb at all…

How am I just seeing this now… yeah I used to work in westwood clontarf.. a great gym! It’s 4M long X 4.6M Wide… I think external would be slightly bigger but only slightly… height wise I can’t remember how big but I went as big as I could without having to apply for planning permission…

I find the space to be pretty crammed with all the cardio equipment, do you plan on keeping all of it? I would maybe add a mirror on one of the walls to make it appear bigger. Overall looks great though, hope to a home gym of my own one day!

I appreciate that feedback… it’s funny I thought that too at the very start but then when I started to work with my clients everything seemed to work. I’m able to work comfortably with 1-3 clients with enough social distance space between everyone including me🙌🏾😊 Ideally I would’ve went bigger BUT.. with planning permission needed for anything bigger here in Ireland this is as big as I could go 1. Without planning and 2. Without overshadowing the entire garden… But like I said I appreciate the feedback… Hopefully when you have your own gym you can have your own personal touch!🙌🏾

You should have expanded the space bud. You'll find you need more room... say double the amount. You still have yard space to expand.

You can only go so big without planning permission here in Ireland. I went as big as I could without overshadowing the garden too as I’ve two dogs I didn’t wanna take up the entire garden! Plan is to max this out with client work and then move to a big facility and just have this as my own home gym!

Do you find the room is very imposing on the garden? Does it block much natural sunlight? Looking to do one myself but worried it will take up too much garden room. I only have a small garden

No… not in my garden. Luckily enough I had a decent amount of space to be able to put it and where my house is positioned it doesn’t hinder any sunlight coming in at all throughout the day!

€17k at the time of build. I would say significantly more if I was to do it now due to cost of materials/labour going up.

You bought too many cardio machines, and they take too much space. The treadmill should've been enough. I would suggest you add a dip station and a landmine.

@@TheFitLife maybe add a dip attachment outside possibly a stand or if there’s a possibility to drill one into the side of the shed on the right that would be cool for a shorter time

Great work brother I made my own gym to its the best feeling but I think you put too much cardio equipment in .. you can also get a wall mounted cable pulley machine that I got ... takes up no space at all for like £999.00 But we'll done ✔️ brother Clients will be happy 😊

@@BreakerzStar89 appreciate the feedback buddy… The style of training I do with my clients warrants the different form of cardio kit. Great shout on the wall mounted pulley👏🏾 Next plan is to get a storage unit for the back right side so I can move the db’s and plates off the floor and then that could be the next buy… great shout mate! 💪🏾
