No joke, I just had a craniotomy 9 weeks ago. That "Bell's Palsy" turned out to be an unruptured aneurysm that was growing and pressing on nerves in my face. It was behind my left eye. Between rebuilding our house from the hurricanes last year, living in an RV, brain surgery... UGH. I stopped watching make up videos because I was depressed about my facial paralysis (which is now improving) and now my shaved head. Is it weird or rude that I watched this video and felt better? It just popped up right when I needed it. Thank you for sharing! We are all going through something.❤ You keep doing what you do! You're so real and relatable and authentic.

I lost my father when I was in my 30's, and I can honestly say it took a very long time to truly heal. You've been through some very traumatic things, so be kind to yourself, Rebecca. We also rescued a dog from a non-profit, and it took quite a long time for her to adjust. She did eventually start barking and has become a wonderful watch dog. You have a purpose on RU-vid, and the people who watch you are truly blessed by it. Being on YT has to be really difficult because you can't control the numbers. It's NOT an easy job, it has to be very difficult emotionally. Hang in there!❤️❤️ PS I love that you are thinking more minimal when it comes to makeup!

Losing a parent is so hard. I lost my mom in 2019. It was sudden and I still don’t understand it. Sharing stories like yours, I think, helps everyone understand that everyone is hurting and in need of a helping hand every once in awhile. Right after my mom passed away, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I just kept saying to myself “no. I can’t do this without my mom.” I had surgery. I had chemo. I had radiation.I got covid during chemo and was hospitalized. It was terrifying. I was in pain and felt alone. But I felt like sharing or talking about my stuff was selfish because the world is just a whole lot of grief right now and do many have it so much worse. But I know now that’s it’s so much better to share. It heals. And we all need some healing right now. So we don’t feel alone. Thank you for sharing your story. And for helping me. ❤️❤️❤️

Yeah everyone has their own pain in life. My mom passed away a month ago. I have to take care of my dad who is 91. Life doesn't prepare you for your parents getting old, sick, dying.

Oh, girl, my heart goes out to u. I know exactly what u have gone through and are going through. I lost my dad when he was only 57 in 93’. Now my mom is 82 and has severe dementia. It is overwhelming. She can’t even understand what I explain to her most times. The emotional toll on us (mostly women) is real. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. I had a cleaning co clean my mom’s place once a month & etc. Just don’t take on more than u can. You have to take care of u first. Read this today...Dogs aren’t our world but they complete our world! So true.

I got my COVID booster and I don’t feel good. What started as a sore arm became that with nausea, now chills even after taking maximum Tylenol. Yuck. I lost my dad to multiple system atrophy, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s. They called it dementia plus. Divorce, three kids moved on. Everybody has their cross to bear. You have friends! And a loving dog. Plus what a wonderful gift you have for your mom and sister.

I’m glad to hear you are not really pushing hard on new releases. I just can’t keep buying more stuff, especially makeup. I’ve got too much already. I started watching RU-vid beauty videos to escape from terrible things that kept happening in my life, but I’ve just got to stop buying. I know personally it’s hard to keep figuring out how to live life when the life we imagined just seems to dissolve. Be easy on yourself!

I've been feeling so blue. Just lost my 55 year old cousin last week to cancer. Six months since diagnosis and first chemo treatment dies suddenly. The week b4 drops off his youngest to college. My Auntie had a phychotic episode after hip surgery and now with repaired body doesn't know her own daughter. They said she won't get better. So jacked up! As far as wearing your emotions. Be yourself. I'm here for your personality and humor. If your having a hard time...I'm here too. When you were talking I kept thinking Joy cometh in the morning.

Twenty seven years ago I lived in another state away from my parents with a three-year-old when my marriage failed. I moved back to live with the folks, and a year later my dad died at 66. Now I have remarried, my daughter is 30 and my mom is 99, living 8n the master bedroom of the home she built with my dad for retirement. My current husband and I have been living in the same house, taking care of her since 1995. I’m lucky that Mom is in pretty good shape. But it’s a long time to be taking care of a parent and scheduling my life around her and which sibling can take care of her. I feel you. Hang in there. It’s hard, yes, yes. And not ideal. But life isn’t terrible because we have these people that love us that live a long time.

You’re the first and only makeup person I watch. My heart hurts for you ‘cause I do know. I had about five horrible life events happen within 3 weeks of retiring. Which should have been happy right? Then after a year my mom, 90, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I was that sibling, the closest, that drove 5 hours each way, to help and be with my mom for a year. It’s been 4 years since I retired and I finally feel retired. It was hard, it is hard. I can’t give any advice but I’m glad you have a good husband, I have one too. And you have a good dog. Keep breathing and look for the small things you are thankful for. That did help. Love ya.

Then my dad was in his 90’s and had to move in with him. He passed 6 months ago. I feel your pain. It does get better. Getting older sucks! My beautiful mother passed away when I was 8 (beast cancer) and my dad passed away in 2011 when I was 46. I never got over my mum’s death. My dad had Alzheimer’s and man alive, that’s a HORRIBLE disease. You actually mourn them before they go. It was actually a relief when my dad passed away because he was basically like a 1 year old, only worse. I had to retire at aged 50 because of my disability and if I didn’t have my dog, I don’t know I would have survived it! Pets are the best mood boosters! 💖

As someone who has taken care of both parents, as well as having lost them both I completely understand. Lost my mom in 2017 after fighting kidney failure, which I wouldn't wish on anyone. 18 months later, my aunt, my mothers sister fractured her pelvis and came to live with me. At 97, she is very, very frail and requires a lot of assistance. I have some help, but am the main caretaker. I lost my job due to Covid, and thankfully have just recently started a new job. No idea how I keep it all together sometimes. Somehow, we figure it out. And we are entitled to feel crappy, tired, cranky or whatever we might be feeling on any given day. Sometimes its a day at a time, and that's ok. Sending good vibes to you, and remember to take care of yourself as well!

I enjoy the chat videos. I’ve always admired those who can do videos, I know It’s not my talent. I have no idea why some channels grow faster, it’s a mystery. I envy you your closeness with your dad. Mine passed when I was 19, but we weren’t close and I didn’t experience much grief. Same with my mom, I was 46 when she died. My daughter is 20, works part time and takes college classes. She moved in with a roommate recently. It does seem quiet around here. Fortunately, we see her once or twice a week. My struggles and stresses are more financial, things are usually tight. I can’t buy much makeup, but I enjoy seeing it. Leia is so sweet and I enjoy seeing her. We lost our last two dogs two and three years ago. I’m not ready for another one. Plus we have three cats! But I enjoy having a dog virtually with you on IG. Your husband is too funny, he’s too handsome to be self conscious lol. My husband is the same, annoys me one minute and calms me down the next. I hope you have a good week.

I went through the loss of my mom last year, my dog died, putting dad in assisted living, selling their house grieving and sooooo much more all by myself. No husband or boyfriend. Plus this covid stuff. The only thing that has gotten me by is knowing that other people are going through the same or worse. In November of 2019 my younger brother took his own life. Then there was Christmas, then I was hospitalized with an infection in my hand and I had a full month of antibiotic IV therapy, then Covid hit..... And I am still trying to grieve my brother and since the world is still dealing with the pandemic, so am I. And some days I just don't feel up to dealing with anything. So, yes, loss and trauma and the world seems to have lost its collective mind. Sending good thoughts and hopes that you can find peace. Condolences for the loss of your father, as well.

I am watching your video vehicle writing this to you. My heart goes out to you. Your story about your father and your mother are quite similar to the last year and a half of my life. My mother had been battling Alzheimer's for over 10 years. I am the oldest of 7 and I was the one to step in and be there for her. It is very hard when you are working and also have a family to care for. I am blessed to have had the time I did to make memories with her. So when you express how hard the passed year have been for you I truly understand where you are coming from. It is good to talk about your feelings and what you might be going thru. You are in my thoughts, and when I hear the sadness in your voice I am sending you a hug.

I would like to talk about your role as your mom’s caregiver and in the future your sister’s caregiver. Care giving for family is very hard physically and emotionally. I work in a skilled nursing facility and so I know how difficult it can be. I have also done home health and I just wanted you to think about it. Just as you get immersed in your life as a mom to newborns and you can loose your self identity, the same kind of thing happens when you are a caregiver. I only want you to know that their are options out there for you. I have a senior in high school who is going into the National guard in May after he graduates. Please talk more about empty nesting.

Totally understand what you mean about care giving. My mom essentially did that with my sister. Eventually the time will come when I don't think I'll have the means to look after both of them. Happy senior year for your boy.

Oh how I could relate to so much you’ve said. You actually made me choke up when talking about your parents …. In a span of 2 years we lost my father in law,mother in law, husbands grandmother, brother in law, our youngest ran away from home, followed by my mother passing 12 days later my father passed away. My 9 year old chihuahua passed in between all that followed by my daughter buying me a dog who passed the following year due to a back issue that paralyzed her. We decided 2 years later to sell our family home and build a home. 3 months into that the pandemic hit…. Did I mention when we sold our home we decided to move into a 32 foot trailer while we built our home. Sooooo this year my husband had a freak accident, he fell backwards when a anti gravity chair that he was sitting in collapsed and he hit the back of his head on a propane tank. He waited 4 weeks to go to the ER… although I begged him to go daily. Finally when his speech started slurring and he couldn’t tie his own shoes he agreed to go to the hospital… lol… well he had a brain bleed and had to go into the ICU and then a craniotomy. He’s much much better now but in all this I’m able to smile and see the good. Hang in there lady! Oh and I love The new dog… sounds like it’s time to do a doggie DNA test 😉

If I could come across the country and hug you I would. Only because you are brave enough to show your truth. I lost my father this past February and I am not the sibling that is close & I have huge guilt that all of the big stuff you're doing falls on my Sister. I fly in and out occasionally but it's not the same as the day to day drudgery. I also have a physically disabled son that makes traveling a bit of a challenge. I try very hard to work and help my daughter and her husband and 3 children because they are all in and out of school with pandemic issues. Once there is a child that tests positive everyone in the class goes home for a week. VERY stressful for working parents. We are all just doing the best we can. It's hard. It's real. It's everyday. It will get easier, then hard, then easier again. I pray for you that during it all you will find your happy. Love to you and your family

I totally get it! My grandmother had several seizures we had to go to the hospital and she did in the middle on the night🙁 we still feel guilty cause she was alone🙁 but we take it one day at the time, some days will be harder then others. Love your channel and your beautiful family🥰

I can totally relate to your grief with your parents. I took care of my mum after my father passed away suddenly. My mother eventually died with dementia. It was terrible and slow and cruel. I still miss them too. I appreciate you sharing a bit about your life, it’s not easy to do.

Your ability to be so authentic and raw is remarkable. Sharing your personal life in this way I’m sure has touched everyone and is so relatable. I’m sandwiched in between the needs of my 2 teenagers and ailing mother (who also needs my help around her house and dr appointments…). Thank you for sharing your story and for always putting on a happy face even on days you aren’t really feeling like it. and can I just say your new family member is adorable. So happy you rescued. My dad rescued 2 Golden Retrievers from AK. The first one was used as a stud (I think that’s what u call it) and was caged all his life. It took him a good year or so to adjust to walking on grass, going through the front door, walking on carpet…my Dad always says he rescued him. A couple of years later my dad rescued another from same shelter and we think she’s one of the daughters of his current dog. They are amazing dogs and even became therapy dogs. He would bring to local library so children could read to them and he would visit a memory care assisted living facility. They are both retired now - 12 and 10. When I hear about your grief that’s what I think…you both rescued each other. As for what other you tubers are doing…it’s hard - I think we all look at our social media pages and feel like “wtf”. Why can’t I have that or why can’t I do that…I’m less and less on that stuff and come here and to your channel for a little zen! I think you’re doing a great job, your funny and real. Sure I subscribe to other channels and will often scroll by updates but always click on your videos. Thank you for doing them -providing good content and comic relief!

I am so sorry for all that you have gone through. Life is definitely not easy, honestly the only thing that takes me through each day is my relationship with The Lord, He is my hope. I lost my mom to cancer 7 years ago, and lost my dad fairly suddenly four weeks ago. I am 63 and when we moved 6 years ago I found myself alone with no friends. My boys are busy with their own lives and my husband and I are fine, but very different and independent. Covid has not helped with any of this. So I agree life is hard😢 I hope for all of our sakes it gets better soon, although if we look around the world, we can see that sadly so many are so much worse off. I appreciate your videos and especially ones like this that show us that we are not alone in our struggles. One thing that might be a good solution for your mom is to see if you could move her closer to you into an assisted living apartment style complex where people can check on her, she can go to a common dining room and eat with other people, sometimes there’s a hair salon in there, and I know my aunt lived in one of those for a while and she loved it! They still have independence because they have a little apartment with a kitchenette, but it is a helpful caring environment that can help them. Just a thought. I know what you’re going through because I am the oldest, I am the executor of my father‘s estate and I am currently buried in work as well my own medical situation. Oh yeah, and I have jury duty next month -oh yay. Praying for you sweet girl!🙏🏻

Thank you for sharing. Absolutely the ideal thing would be a place for my mom and sister to live that is close by that would assist them. We did this in Germany for my mom's parents. My mom is too emotionally attached right now to her house and all the memories with my dad. But I've been gently sharing this idea with her and one day we will have to transition to that. It took me over a year to grieve my dad's passing so grieve, girl, grieve! Its been 14 years and I still miss him so much. My mom also couldn't see (macular degeneration), and I became the caregiver because we lived in the same city and that was harder than anything I've ever done. Anyway, just relax and do what you what you need to do to care for yourself as well! oh, and tell your husband he's a babe and not to worry about being on camera.... it's good for the eyes! hugs and and more hugs for all.....I could go on and on because we seem to have parallel lives... we rescued and retired greyhound who was extremely traumatized and that's another whole story! call me!

I just want to thank you for this video. I love how real you are….your videos always make me laugh…(in a good way!) But I can unfortunately relate to much of your year in that I just lost my Dad 2 weeks ago, my cat of 14 years in late 2020 and 2 of our boys head to college next week. We’re never really ever ready for loss, but like you, I just plan on keeping busy and taking it one day at a time. Thanks again for your videos, I’ve enjoyed them all!

Yes girl once pandemic hit and all those ppl started dropping , I said to myself o boy this is going to be very bad and long term , sadly it’s not over . The pa remix hit the world very hard and even though many have survived , it was never the same, I’m more anxious and depressed than ever, I’m 60 years old I went from 235 pounds to 176, bc of depression anxiety. I mean I look damned good, but feel horrible old and just so unhappy, RU-vid kept me going and I had forgotten that I had purchased a keyboard for my iPad and now I use that as a journal I wrote down everything I feel I hate and it’s helping a bit. So sorry about your loss girl and everything you’re going through. Your followers are here bc we love ur personality!! You’re like a breathe of fresh air!!!! Ok everytime I do ur eyes I want to reach into ur camera and grab my rimmel kohl eyeliner pencil omg girl those are amazing and def beat high end in my book and draw ur waterline and upper waterline with the blk pencil and just do it!!! Girl your eyes will definitely pop!!!! The green would b just more intense, on cam they look green so pretty. Tfs xoxo
