Dear Nicolas. I recently had open heart surgery and turned 60 this year. I’m so grateful that I was able to travel to six countries and enjoy my time then all of a sudden I had a massive heart attack. I’m now recovering from triple bypass and I discovered you on RU-vid. Can I tell you looking at your videos every day is soothing and it’s allowing me to heal mentally and emotionally as well. I enjoy every single video of yours and it makes me so happy. Your voice is so soothing and I love seeing all the wonderful places you attend and all the neat ideas for decorating as I love decorating and throwing tea parties etc. Continue doing what you do. I love love love watching you. All the best from Atlanta Georgia.
How exciting! It’s scary & weird that people go to so much trouble to find your address, so I’m glad you’re able to move. I believe our place in Edinburgh is within walking distance, but I would never, ever think to play detective and invade your privacy. Some people have no boundaries. I love this flat, but I’m looking forward to your new house content. Also hoping to see what you find in the charity shops (I haven’t been in a while and I miss them). Good luck with the move. Xx
Oh Nicholas so sorry people have found you... stay safe. Good luck with the move and be very discreet and keep details to a minimum so you can stay behind the scenes ❤️❤️❤️❤️much love and blessings 🙏🙏🙏 enjoyed the lovely Vlog today thank you for sharing.
You have such a beautiful heart Nicholas - the way you explain how people found out about your home address - this would bother someone else a lot but you handle it with such grace and calmness. Congratulations on the new home and cannot wait to see how you make the next place your own with your unique wonderful style

Dear Nicolas, I have recently discovered your videos and have just fallen in love with them - it is so refreshing to see a young person so proper who is keeping the wonderful British traditions and manners. Keep up the great work and don't ever change :)
One more thing. You are gorgeous. I could watch you all day plus your voice is very soothing and comforting to me. Thank you for your consistent videos. I especially love when you're decorating or planting. I do love a beautiful garden on any scale. Plants makes the world so much better and prettier. I have learned that it is possible to make gorgeous hedges with lavender, and rosemary
The EASIEST move I ever made, was when I had a week left at the old place and access to the new place all at the same time. I moved ONE room at a time by boxing accessories and the room's contents, and taking it over to the new room. I even took the pictures over and placed them in the new room. I left the furniture behind and left that to the movers on the very last day. That way, I still had beds, tables, chairs etc. Every time I moved a room's smaller contents to the new location, I UNBOXED everything and in some cases, was even able to put things away in closets. I could then take the boxes back to the old place for use in moving the next room the following day. It was simple, and negated the need for TONS of boxes and wrapping paper... and the inevitable MESS of everything being dumped into the new location all on one day. Good luck in finding a private and lovely place....
It’s a hot and humid 95 degrees Fahrenheit here in Richmond, Virginia, and your lovely summer salad and table setting were sooooo refreshing, and inspiring. Thank you!
@@NicolasFairford , maybe, by the time she sees the video, you can show her the NEW place and SHE won't be TOO annoyed with your misleading her for the past year or more! After all, you are taking steps to remedy the situation!
You are such a positive, confident and inspiring person, Nicolas! Here I am in Nepal, worlds away from Edinburgh, and you make me want to design and keep an elegant home once I have my own place (next year)! Your taste is impeccable but your easy attitude and calm demeanour keeps me coming back for more. 🤗 Thank you for your lovely content.
I am sorry you are moving. I live only two streets away (in N----- Street) and use the same gardens as you do. We haven't met, but I like the thought that you are local and was hoping that our paths might cross at some point!
@@NicolasFairford Haha, will do. I'm a single man in my 50s and if you see me in the gardens I will be on my own and probably reading a book (and I don't have a dog!). I know your neighbours M and G a few doors down.
Nicolas how exciting! I can imagine how you must be looking forward to your new place and I can't wait for you to give us a tour. There's no need to give so many details about your new location. Please stay safe and hope everything goes smoothly with the move!
Salad looks delicious and most importantly, easy. I do love your current home, but admittedly I’m selfishly excited about the upcoming furring and decorating videos. To my fellow viewers, please stop being so creepy by trying figure out where people live! Watch the videos, enjoy the splendor and respect and be grateful for what people choose to share with you.
Wishing you a wonderful journey in your new home search, along with the much needed privacy that we all appreciate and enjoy in our own lives. You’re always so welcoming and open, which is so kind, but be sure to keep a little back for your own indulgence and privacy. Thanks for the recipes, as always, another “refreshing” episode with my favorite RU-vidr.
Good afternoon Nicolas😁 Your privacy is very importat and people should/should have respect that. The very best to you in your new home. Make sure there's no colored doors on the street🤣 What a wonderful colorful salad. Looks amazingly delicious. I love salads and will be making this one for sure. The plant store is really nice with all the pots, plants, etc. Nicolas, I really enjoyed this video and look forward to the nexr one😁
Nicholas, we love you!! I’m so excited for you, ( and scared for you)!! I’ve watched you from the beginning! I can’t wait for you to lead us through settling in and decors your new space and I am just sickened by the thought of people bothering you where you are now! Plz be careful and I hope you relocate to the safe, serene place of your dreams!!
Congratulations on your decision to move. I have really enjoyed your filming in your current flat but also look forward to the new content, as you've said. Whatever you can share about the entire moving process would be great. I think there are many people who'd love to see you do it elegantly. I feel that you will take great joy from redecorating your new place and I am excited to share that journey with you. Best of luck in finding the stepping stone that will bring you closer to your dream home.
Thank you for looking it up. I want to make this salad but didn't know what the roasted vegetables were. Thought I recognized the zucchini and now I know the other one is eggplant! 👍
How scary that people are stalking you. Why don’t people let “public” figures have a semblance of privacy? I don’t understand that at all. But, I loved the recipe as always and your soothing voice. So relaxing 😌
Yes its so disturbing especially they wait outside with their phones out and if you are not in the mood for it they post it and complain about it. Seen so many celebs get that and its such an invasion of privacy.
Lovely salad and salad bowl.😍 RU-vidrs tend to be friendly outgoing people pleasers, and they often connect w/ viewers by sharing personal information. Unfortunately, some viewers can try to take advantage of these gestures.
So sorry to hear people found you .... I hope you are very happy in your new home ..... I moved from the UK to live in beautiful Portugal 3 years ago ..... it was a dream for so long and my husband and I are now living that dream ..... Good luck Nicolas, you really are a charming and courteous young man ... I'm a newbie subscriber but I am thoroughly enjoying your posts
Nicolas I tried the salad. It taste heavenly. Did it without aubergine because I don't like it. Nevertheless, it is very tasty. I liked the way you arranged it in a leafy green bowl. Part of the fun of eating is its presentation. Good luck searching for a new home. I am sure you are excited like many of us waiting to see how you will decorate it. Much success!!
It's a bit disconcerting to lose one's privacy when in the public eye. I think your move to a new home will be very beneficial. I look forward to getting to know your channel better and send wishes for a nice weekend from California.
Dear Nicholas: You are a delight in every way. Your charm, honesty, talents and story-telling skills are all marvelous. And great taste!. I'm a 76-yr old American...gay, very happily married for 8 years legally.....been together 42 years. We are retired in Spain. Hubby and I wish you all the best and thank you for your wonderful channel. Cheers! K.
Not a gardener myself, but a gardener friend assures me that it is a good idea to put stones in the bottom of a pot to aid drainage. I dread moving. I have thousands of books and packing them is traumatic! I hope your new move is a great success. It would not have occurred to me to track you down, let alone through the view from the window! Human ingenuity amazes me! Thank you for the video!
Loved your salad recipe and your trip to the plant show. Congratulations on you move, while overwhelming for you, it will be nice to see. you move and re-decorate your new place and have the privacy and feel secure in your home. Ran into some neighbour’s yesterday in my building in Canada and we started discussing Edinburgh and low and behold all of them said they are fans o your youtube channel and just wanted to let you know. Lots of people find.your videos to be so wonderful and uplifting. Can’t wait to see you packing and decorating. All the best.
Nicolas, I’m sorry to hear that you’re concerned...and for good reason! One suggestion I would give you if you still want to receive the letters is to get a PO (post office) box so that people won’t have to search for your address if they want to contact you.
How exciting Nicolas that you are moving house. As lovely as your flat is, it will be wonderful to watch you work your magic fluffing your new nest. Hopefully you will be able to keep the location private and be able to relax in your new abode. Congratulations and best wishes for the future. Thanks🙏🏼❤️
Hi Nicholas, another wonderful video! I do enjoy seeing what you’re up to with recipes and tips you share! Beautiful salad and table setting…as well as your tips on watering plants! Such a lovely plant shop, I do favor pots that are weathered such as the ones in your friend’s shop. Wow, seeing how excited you are for your move is great! I look forward to watching your upcoming videos with commentary on it! Yayy, I hope you find something special and that you’ll love living in. Thanks so much for sharing! 😊🙌🏼🍷
Nicolas, I have always loved your apartment, but I do realise that only having one bedroom must be difficult for family and friends. However, I cant wait to see what you will do with your new home. Your taste is exquisite and you have been very instrumental in my sitting room and dining room makeovers. Best wishes for a stress free move x
Thank you, young Nicholas. I adore you, you family and your friends. I'm from Hawai'i so thank you for showing us the beautiful city you live in. I particularly love the plant shop. I relate to everything you speak of even though I'm half a world away. Best wishes to you.
Nicolas…you are a wonderful and talented young man. All the best on your move and best wishes for many happy years and memories ahead! Hello from Ontario Canada. 🇨🇦
Hi Nicolas . LOVE the salad recipe . Congratulations on your decision to move closer to your family . You need to do what's right for yourself & your privacy . Thank you for sharing & letting us be part of your journey . God bless . Mark (Toronto) 💙🌈
Good luck with your move Nicolas. I hope it goes smoothly. I've never lived anywhere longer than five years except where I am now, and I'm not sure I could move again. Thanks for the salad dressing recipe, I'm always on the lookout for a new one. I also know what it's like when people know where you live, but you can rise above it. There are always people out there who have an envious streak, but there will also be new friends and neighbours waiting for you.
Dear Nicholas thank u for the delicious salad and the guide about plant care. I wish u all the very best in your house move and pray that u will find a nice one that will protect your privacy. Looking forward for more beautiful videos as always.
I will make this recipe! Thank you! Yes keep your place private very very important. I hope you find the perfect place. Prayers for everyone watching and you !
people know where you are... that sounds terrifying. i just imagine people standing outside your windows peering in to your living room... ahhh! nightmare.
@@NicolasFairford it's good that you make this point... I've started vlogging and i can't even imagine being so popular that i get recognised... it must be such a surreal experience! love from France xxx
HI NICOLAS I HAVE TOLD MANY TIMES HOW I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS GOOD FOR YOU TO WANT TO KEEP YOUR LIFE PRIVATE CANT WAIT TO SEE HOW YOU ARE GOING TO DECORATE THE NEW PLACE THANK YOU FOR THE NICE THINGS THAT YOU SHARE WITH US .
New beginnings are always exciting, especially after the static horrors of the last year, and I know it will go well for you. Best to put heavy blinds at the windows or invite Mother to stay, along with her blunderbuss!
Blunderbuss oh that made me giggle, it took me back to childhood comics in the 1960s, Beano, Dandy, Bunty I'm sure the blunderbuss were in the stories. That comment has made my day 🤣😅 What a good idea get your mum up im sure she would chase away any intruders whilst being in the spare room on holiday. Awww
Everyone deserves their privacy. I hope you find a cozy and comfy residence and share your decorating journey in your new place. I'm happy for new adventure.
I have great empathy for you, Nicolas. I have been stalked three separate times, two of those incidents in person, and I am not even a public figure. I wish you the best of luck in securing a lovely new home with comfort, beauty, and privacy. 💚
The salad looks delicious. I am looking forward to seeing how you decorate your new home. And I don't blame you for wanting more privacy. A little scary that people can find someone so easily.
@@NicolasFairford , your salad looks so interesting ! The bowl you used seems to be Portuguese pottery , am I right ? I hope you will soon be able to find the right apartment that fits your needs as well as your dreams . It would be nice if you could manage to have a PO Box . Greetings from Berlin .
Hi Nicholas really hope the move goes well for you when you secure a new property! Had 8 moves myself and found each one stressful! You do need to feel secure in your own home and be able to retreat from the world from time to time. Good luck I’m sure your family & friends will enjoy spending time with you. Thanks for sharing
I wish you well on your hunt for a new home. I so look forward to watching you decorate it. The one you are living in now is such a pretty place and like you, I am all about surrounding myself with pretty. Love your channel so very much. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
I cannot stop watching and looking at all of your bowls, plates and cutlery in every video! Ohhh that cabbage one and the lemon basket, I love them both. I hope that your move goes well.
Great news! I hope you will be happy in your new place and your privacy will be respected. I must admit I look forward to seeing you new kitchen/playground and many new salads come alive
You will move just in time to show us how Christmas will be at your new home, loved the last one so much. Hope your offer is accepted, I hate moving!! Hugs and 😘
I think it’s wonderful that you are setting out to find a new place to live. Another decorating journey that we all get to follow. Cheers… Have a great weekend
