Fantastic to see you giving us an update. Glad to hear you are making the most of life by seeing the world, especially after the pandemic. Keep well and if you do start a travel channel/vlog, I am sure we will be just as interested in your real world journeys since we have already lived vicarously through your E&P journey.
"It's time to put the screen down and jump into life", I remember these words very well from your last video where you surprisingly said goodbye to the E&P community. Jeff, thanks for sharing this video with us, great to hear your voice again and receive a life update from your side! During the last months I have always been hoping to get something like this although ever having been convinced that you'll never return to the game which ist good for you and not so good for the E&P community. Of course I miss all your daily E&P videos from which I have learned a lot for the game but it makes me happy to hear that your life after E&P ist just, what it is now! So, once again thank you for all your efforts over the last years and keep enjoying whatever you will do next!
Great to see your update Jeff, and that you are alive and thriving. If culture's your thing, then next time you're in Egypt you need to get down to the former capital of Egypt - Luxor - the Nile cruise of all the temples/sites almost makes a mockery of the Sphynx/pyramids in Cairo. If you're ever in/near Liverpool (UK) drop me a Line - it'd be great to meet up. Happy traveling!
Thank you! I did a huge road trip all around England back in 2018! ... Been to Egypt 4 times and always Cairo ..so ... definitely want to see more of the country! Thanks.
Awesome to hear you're good, Jeff. Thx for sharing. Stay healthy and have fun doing your travel thing Those poor Titans are gonna be slashed by us instead
Jeff hello , so great to hear from you . Im really glad to hear how well you doing and most importantly that you happy . Well not saying it wouldn’t be good to have you back in the game ( missing all your videos and you just being with us ) but you got to do what’s best for you . All the best our friend . 😊
Life is great. I appreciate you asking. I have been very fortunate. I ended 2023 with taking 68 flights and being physically inside 20 different countries. My the end of May, I will up to 12 for 2024. The travel has been incredible! Best wishes to you!
What a great surprise to see this video popup! Glad to hear you're doing well and enjoying life. I did Dubai and Vietnam right before the pandemic hit and was actually stuck in Da Nang for a few days when flights were cancelled. Nha Trang is my favorite spot in VN. Stay well and will be looking forward to your travel vids!
Hey Jeff, Vietnamese here. First of all I would like to say thank you for your channel I started watching you from the very early days, taught me a lot about the game. Very happy to hear you love our country :) I’m currently living in Canada (been here for 6 years) for work and for making money but I can see myself going back home for retirement :) Love the people, the food and weather over there (My god I miss those tropical beaches so much). I also quit playing the game 6 months ago, best decision in my life. They’ve been releasing 1000 new heroes every single week it’s almost impossible even for the whales to keep up now. Anyways happy to hear you’re enjoying life :) Looking forward to spending our retirement together in Vietnam :)
Good to hear from you again! So jealous you could travel to so many places and have such a great experience hahah. In terms of travel channel I think maybe just a instagram page could be easier for you to post those amazing photos along your trip. Anyway, Keep going and enjoying life. 🎉
I was with you in your experimental 3 star only alliance. I think I left shortly before you announced your departure. I've left the game behind as well. Glad to hear you're doing well.
That's awesome you're enjoying life, as someone that was f2p for the last 2 years I played it still ate up my time, I had to pull away from it, even if it wasn't draining my bank account it was draining my life account, and 2nd LB was a perfect time to say ✌️ out I have a feeling E&P isn't gonna last to much longer. Loosing to many high profile players and content creators. If ppl are still enjoying it that's great, but if jaded I'd highly recommend taking a break and see what life is like without E&P cuz it is very liberating
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks oh yeah, and it gave heros new Innate abilities like Ludwig starting with 4 turns of taunt before a tile even touches him... and with no way to get aethers back, abd they just totally nerfed alot of heros like Rhys gazelle costume and non costume Ferdinand etc. But I get this all from the line groups, haven't played for a couple months now. It broke the game 2nd LB so now they're nerfing like crazy. Glad I left when i did, it's all stick and maybe a leaf off the top of the carrot
Hi E&P glad you are enjoying life and travelling to some beautiful destinations. I am learning to speak Filipino at the moment and hope to visit the country maybe in a couple of years time.
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks No probs, thought I'd let you know on the forum I did start a prize if folk go 25/0 in the weekly raid tournament ill sort them a medal 🏅 Kinda werid how it happened, there was rush 5* no holy think you went 25/0 in that one so I thought I'd start giving a medal as a prize. Think the next day you put your post your leaving the game. So decided to name the medal after you, the folk on the forum decided on this name.. How about the: JekylandHyde XXV medal (25 - 0 = XXV) in honor of his alliance concept So you will always be remembered one way or another 😉 plus the folk enjoy it. Take care look forward to see the cool places yall vist 💚
Great to hear from you Jeff. So happy for you. Your name came up in a chat recently. You are missed. I traveled the orient in my younger days. See the castles in Okinawa.
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks mega to hear from you and awesome to here your well. Over jealous of the travelling but live it up the best way my friend. Would be great to here from you again soon Jeff. Keep safe out there and bye for now!
Lovely to see you doing well. If you ever do a European tour, try and go to the fjords in Norway, around Stavanger. Around summer time. Also to Stonehenge in England at the night of the summer solstice. Think it's the 21st of June. They have a festival which lasts all night untill sunrise, where you can touch the stones and meet people from all around the world and colures. Lots of people playing instruments and druids celebrating. Obviously so much more to see but just 2 recommendations for you. Will always be subscribed to your channel just incase 😊
I'll never come back to playing E&P. It was a fun and interesting time in my life and got me through the pandemic, but now I am traveling almost every weekend ... too much of the world to explore! No time for the game.
You're not missing much, I just made a commitment to leave the game myself. I was going through my RU-vid subscriptions to Unsubscribe from all of my E&P Subs, when I went on your home page I came across your video and decided to give it a listen. While you were away power creep in the game got much, much worse and the amount of money required to stay at the top with the newest heroes was astronomical for me. The amount of events, quests..etc... also out of hand and basically required you to live the game 24/7. I feel like a weight has been lifted. You are using your money on much more fulfilling pursuits!! I'm on my way to Dubai for the first time in November....provided things don't completely spiral out of control in the middle east. Thanks for the update and all the best to you on your continued travels!
Great news! , seriously I miss your community apport a lots, others big RU-vidr have leave the game anchor and hayato 7dd, good luck never forget you help.
Found you since I just pulled C. Skadi with my only free Valhalla pull. Interesting to see how many pulls you did and did not get it. Reaffirms my min pay for this game. So glad to see your adventures post pandemic. I am hopeful to get back out and travel more myself. I would definitely subscribe to your travel channel. May the road rise to meet you on your future journeys.
Glad to hear that you probably planning for empires and travel books. It's good to hear that you are impressed in Vietnam. I may suggest you to visit China, but you need a variety plans by visiting a few area
It's a great idea to open a RU-vid travel channel to share what you have seen during your trips. I'd like to check it out 🙂 Very happy to hear from you 😊 Thank you and best wishes to you too 😇
Great to hear from you Jeff. I also stopped E&P around the same time as you and can't believe it has been 8 months. I have always wanted to visit Vietnam so I have to ask what draws you there or is so great you would consider retiring there? Also you should check out El Salvador for their volcanoes and Nicaragua for their waterfalls.
Thank you! ... I do want to see more of Central America. I have only been to Panama. Vietnam? The people, the food, the scooter culture, the nature, beaches, the affordability, the overall vibe ... the women ... :)
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks Absolutely, I am actually currently talking to a woman who moved from Vietnam to the states....I agree lol. Have safe travels Jeff.
Traveling is fun. E&P has changed a lot. You made a great decision. A travel RU-vid channel would be awesome. I wish you can travel to Taiwan. That's my home country. Taiwanese are friendly. I missed you Jeff.😅
@Empires and Puzzles Books not trying to rope you in. Just pitching a future video idea. And yes, everyone has access to the Museum, you collect gems for each fully leveled hero.
Sincere viewpoint. Why not just play back to f2p or low budget. All those free weekly ascensions and normal free grinding. Play at low speed maintain your account and no overboard. Game cruise is much easier. Play while in the airport. Happy Happy!
Great to hear from you. I’m really glad for your happy life. If by any chance one day you want to visit The French Riviera, let me be your guide if you wish 😊. Btw are your books still available? Cheers
@@EmpiresandPuzzlesBooks I was more thinking about the book on how to be economicly independent or whatever it was. I remeber you used to advertise it at the beginning of some of your videos with a drone flying towards you...
Have you done the 7 Continents challenge, visiting each Continent? Not many people can say they've done that. As far as Antartica, don't just go step foot on one of the islands that's consider being in Antartica actually step foot on the main Continent. After that go scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef. Go to Picitara(sp?) Island where the mutineers(sp?) of HMS Bounty landed. Goto Gallapagos(sp?) Island. May have to get permission from either Venezuela or Chile or some South American Country on the West Coast there. I think the island is considered endangered so permission is needed. While you do all that I'm going back to school to learn to spell. Enjoy.
I have only been to 5 continents. I have not been to Australia. In a few weeks I will be in Indonesia which will be the closest I have ben to Aussie. Antarctica is a dream ... but not any time soon!
I'm happy for you!!! I went in an quite Alliance some month ago, now we are friends and one saturday a month we eat pizza togheter.... the best evening of the month in my opinion. Ps: visit Italy😉😉😉
Such a nice surprise to see this video pop up in my recommended! And how pertinent too - if you haven't heard, E+P admit they're about to reach critical mass on the special skills and are about to (/ already have?) rebalance the entire game, adjusting the cards of some 200 heroes, nerfing / buffing at their own discretion. I've already quit the game and others feel the same way, so maybe your next trip should be to Finland so you can kick the **** out of Small Giant. Glad to hear you're doing well though.
Man you got away from the game at about the right time. Don't know how many heroes there were when you left but right there are 812. The way they push now even harder than they did before is mind boggling. I only keep playing because for me it's a good way to unwind and better than going to a casino and drinking all night. Playing at home im around my family and can stop anytime we want to go blow off steam as a family. I do wish i would have never started playing because now having so much time and money in the game its like i built a 3 bed 2 bath house that someone else controls. On the travel note you should check out France and see the catacombs, the maginot line and the siegfried line. Then japan, for me anywhere in Japan is great. Im not Japanese but the entire island has been great to me. I love Tokyo, man the girls there are awesome and they love Americans lol. Aokigahara aka the suicide forest is beautiful and onle about 2 hours from Tokyo. I've only been to 17 countries but the france/ germany area and japan are by far my favorites. If you ask my wife then japan is the only place anyone really needs to see. Good luck man and happy times on your worldly travels. O and yes to the travel channel you mentioned is a great idea and for someone like me i might just copy some places and yes to videos. I don't mean record every little thing but if you see somewhere or something thats beautiful the just lime a 10 to 30 second videos are great to watch with children. Ivbeen to beautiful places that i would never take my 5 year old but she loves watching the videos. Didn't mean for this to turn into a book lol. Getting an edit because I forgot to mention nepal or turkey and check out the mountains and mad honey.
Antarctica? I'm not sure if you actually can... I would love to see that part of the globe 🌎 How do you source your income for travels.. if you don't mind.. Do u stay in hotels? Flights etc... Or do you have a budget? Shoestring? Travelled alot too... many years ago... I'm thinking of doing again... used to work on cruise ships... Suppose alot of my income will be quitting this game😂😂Thanks J x
I ust tripping arround from time to time to colect gems quest or other wuest that i like. But not anymore intense play. If you like to travel you can try something that many travelers do. Travel vlogs.
Log off! ... it was incredibly simple. I have not been tempted to log back in ...not even once ... although it might make an interesting video as to what SG adds/offers they throw at me after being off for 8+ months.
Kia ora Jeff! Thx for the update - good to hear! The push factors in the game have only accelerated so you're not missing anything there 😂 If you ever come to NZ I'd meet up - though no offence taken if you come to NZ but not our region (it is off the top tourist path). I'm still on Line olo_ep 😊
So so glad to hear you are doing great! So many times it crossed my mind - wonder what Jeff is up to now and where is he.. Thank you for this update. I think it was day or two before yesterday that I was looking some 2 years old video on this channel. One about slow heroes. Well as far as travel goes - why not Japan? My dream is to visit Japan. To see birthplace of ninjas and geishas. And so many martial arts. To see their training ground. To see studios that brought us Great Teacher Onizuka and other wonderfull cartoons. Hope I'll get to see it one day. Here are some sugestions India, China, Nepal, Sumatra, Borneo Myanmar... Sorry if list is incorect or I listed some country you allready visited. Haven't brushed up my geography knowlege in a while. Maybe you can put some travel vlog or something? Think people would be interested. As far as Europe goes Greece, Italy, Sicily, Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina (my country), Belgium, Russia and Austria. As far as game goes... Don't look back. It almost lost all of her apeal. Yup. Still playing. Alliance is only thing that keeps me in game. Tried to leave but I missed that rascals too much. And they sure did let me know peace of their mind and how much they miss me 😀
Thank you! ... Japan is on the list, just has not happened yet. I have not been to China exactly, but to Hong Kong and Macau. Europe has been Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria ... so much more to see there! Some day!
