Thank you for making this video!! I still really daydream without even trying to, completely subconsciously, my sense of identity and family is entirely comprised of two or three paras or hyperfixations. Its…something. But I’m so glad you said it’s really up to us, because all our brains are different and the reason we do this is all different!
Just so you know when you say things like 'i have goals in this reality", i use the same words when reasoning about my daydreaming life and real life. In my case, I lived, up until now, very happily in daydreaming (more than 30 years) even though i didn't pursue 'real life' goals like most people (house, family, etc. all was pretty boring for me). IT jobs allowed me to do day dreaming while staring at the computer screen but i used day dreaming also for work : imagine every scenarios to choose the better solution, put myself in customer shoes and so on. Nowadays, I decided to try the reality this time, and going from one reality to an other is definitely difficult. Lot of new things to learn (addictions, motivation, good and bad emotions management, body energy), many things I didn't need to have to make my imaginary world functions. I'm sorry you also have health issue. Having trouble with both mind and body at the same time must be tough. I'm sending you all my love.
Please make a video on how you cut down on MD. Talk about what has worked for you, etc. (Doesn't have to be a long and detailed video--- a 5 minute video would be fine.)
Sister I'll suggest you should start reading or listening a philosopher jiddu Krishnamurti on RU-vid there are plenty of his videos might help you it has help me, daydreaming generally start when we are inattentive and when there is attention there is no thought and imagining it's sort of meditation if you delve more into his teaching you might find many things that would help you out 😊🙏🏻
You have depressed eyes. I see dark circles around your eyes, that's a sign that you may have been depressed & you don't show it when you face the public. don't try to hide it. I know. :)
