Don't be stressed about not getting that house...it wasn't meant to be your new home. The situation may seem sad or confusing now but everything will fall into the right place at the right time and you will find a different house that is meant to be your new home.

Exactly the same thing happened to us when we were selling when Charlie was a baby! Got right to the end about to exchange, and our buyer pulled out. We were devastated. BUT it worked out for the best I think. The house we were buying needed a lot of work, and it wasn't in a brilliant area. I think if we had moved, we'd have regretted it, and we probably wouldn't have had our lovely little Lily ❤ and I'd take having the 3 kids over a bigger house any day of the week xx

I think you've got it sussed to be honest.....your kids are so lucky having parents like you two, which is a sad fact too as all kidsdeserve it eh, but you see a lot of families now where chidren just tag a long. Really hope house sells soon Laurien, all the best xxxx

So sorry the sale didn’t go through hopefully something works out for you. You mentioned about budgeting I think the first place you can try save is on food not necessarily buying less food but just buying cheaper options for examples instead of buying pampers nappy you could go for the cheaper supermarket brand and if you do that with a lot of items your food bill will be a lot less x

Don't feel pressure to send your children to university. My eldest daughter slogged her guts out and got her degree. It's now basically just a useless bit of paper. She is working with severe special needs children and absolutely loves her job (that's what her degree is in). However, she is on minimum wage and so is her husband and they struggle to make ends meet. They have 6 year old and my daughter would love more children but they simply can't afford it. My son was a lazy wee beastie at school. He left at 16 and got an apprenticeship with the local authority as a land mechanic. He was kept on after his 2 year apprenticeship was up and has now been there 10 years. He earns double what my daughter does yet only got his standard grades and highers (we're in Scotland). He's been offered multiple jobs by local firms over the years but he's chosen to stay where he is. My youngest wants to go to uni and study law. We'll see what happens As a 52 year old mum and grandma I think you're a wonderful mum. You have a beautiful family. Just keep doing what you are doing. Much love to you from Scotland x

It must be upsetting not to be moving. As a retired property valuer I witnessed house sales falling through often. I always said there will be a better house down the line. I meant it. Fortunately for your buyer the redundancy came before they commuted to the mortgage and moved. That would have made their lives dreadful.

A good trick with saving is to put 10% of all money coming into the household into high interest savings. I try very hard to do this myself bit it is difficult because I am on my own financially with a disabled son and a daughter in education. It's a bit of a sad situation for parents with adult children at home who are in receipt of benefits. If they are living with parents, even if it's a single parent, it is assumed they are being financially supported and they get no help towards their housing costs. The 10% rule for savings is supposed to be the minimum you save 😊

When the time is right for the sale of the house it will happen. 🙂 It also looked like Flossie was meditating at one point? 😂 As for university? Most kids want to go to university nowadays. If they really don’t want to though, even after all your encouragement then it’s best not to push them. My daughter has 2 university degrees and doesn’t use any in her current profession. She decided she wanted to try something new and trained extensively for a completely different career. Incidentally her friend learned a trade without going to university. I think it’s a noble profession. We all need tradesmen and when they’re skilled in their craft like your Curtis, that’s something to be very proud of. 🙂 At the end of the day it’s all about encouraging and supporting your child to reach their full potential whether that’s university or something else. You’ll all work it out when the time comes and do what’s best, you’re both great parents. ❤xx

Sorry about the house but i believe things happen for a reason one of my boys didn't go to school for the last 2 years i had to pay loads of fines he did suffer with bad depression and still does but he got a job he's a steel erector and scaffolding he's a foreman and reads plans brilliantly got his own home 2 of my other boys do the same jobs and 1 of them is dyslexic my other son is a builder which is also a very good job and my Daughter is in finance and they are all happy which is the main thing i don't always leave messages because your channel has grown brilliant and I don't want you having to reply as you are so busy with your lovely family 🤗🫶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
