My husband and I are 84 and 74 respectively . We have had a wonderful journey . There are two things that we have done throughout our marriage is to always end our day in prayer with each other. We have never missed a day. The other thing we have learned is to NEVER push open a door especially with life changing moves. We have moved from WA State to AZ and now we live in a tiny home in East TN . May God direct your steps and you enjoy the journey of your life

Being close to family is so important especially with what is going on in the country. We do not have very many family members left and We live about Four hours from them. Thank the good lord our children and Grandchildren are very close to us. ❤. God is good he will lead you where you need to be.

I went through a similar situation years ago, and we were devastated at the time. But we ended up renting another home, which we ended up buying a few years later. And we were much happier in the end. ❤ all the best to your lovely family.

Go back to TN to God’s country, we moved here 3 years ago from AZ ( I’m original from the Netherlands but immigrated 19 years ago to the US) it’s heaven here and this is our forever home
I love TN, too! I have to be honest though, I’m a little envious of the walkable and bike-friendly areas in the Netherlands. I love living outside of the city because God’s creation is so beautiful, but I find myself trapped on the interstate, driving for several hours a day. Do you find that you miss some things about the Netherlands? Or am I misinformed about the level of walking/ biking/ mass transit there? (I have never been, just seen videos.)
I rented a place and replaced the flooring in two rooms only because my landlord wanted it done and took it off the rent. I would never do major remodeling or repairs for free and out of my pocket for a place that isnt mine.

This is only one reason why I have been and will always be the ENTIRE Bates family biggest fan and admirer. Even in the face of something as unfair as your house suddenly not being available to renew your lease after making such a huge and exhausting move (not to mention all the work you've done on the house inside and out to make it far better and worth much more than when you moved in) you both have have such a sweet spirit and good attitide about it. I am furious that someone would treat you like that but you are seeing it as an answered prayer. You need to move to Alabama because I need people like you to rub off on me. (TRUTH) I do know that God has you though because he takes care of those who love and serve him as beautifully as you do. I watched every minutes that was filmed of your move there and I know it was sooo much work and Ive watched every filmed moment of all your projects and r3emodeling to better the house so I know you have so much time, energy and money invested. Perfect timing for your video. I am definitely adding you and your family to my prayer time. You ended up encouraging me in this video. I am praying for God to open up a door for me to move to a quiet safe place away from noisy neighbors. I work full time but unable to drive due to medical condition which makes finding a place close to work that is safe and quiet. My current place is not ideal and is not quiet at all.
