Crying while watching this. I just lost my cat who was chronically ill for 10 years so I know how extremely traumatic it is when anything happens to our babies. I'm so glad he seems to be on the mend. You're an amazing mom for everything you're doing for him.

Oh my, dogs can do such strange things. I have had a dog who ate socks, luckily she always pooped them out and never needed surgery for this. I hope Jaeger will fully recover and all the time and money spend will be worth it.

So sorry to hear about poor Jaeger. That’s so hard, especially trying to get emergency care. We always know when our pets just aren’t right and it’s so very stressful. Same here, I just tell them to do what needs to be done no matter the cost, they’re family. I’m so glad he’s on the up side of all that. Poor baby!😢 Hugs and prayers for all of you. Oh my gosh! I am so sorry you all went through this, poor Jaeger! Dogs really get into everything… To retell this to us must be traumatizing. Pets are part of the family for sure! Thank goodness you listened to your instincts! Jaeger is a strong dog to have persevered through this and I hope every day leads him to a full recovery!

Oh Jessica. My heart aches for you. Listening to you, I can tell how helpless you felt with trying to get him help. Me and the pups are praying for you, Jager and your family. You are absolutely right to trust your gut. With Mal, a limp turned out to be something more. Once you know that your baby boy is out of the woods, take care of yourself. Pet health anxiety is something that I thought I would never have, but Simon’s illness threw my world upside down. You know that I’m here for you if you ever need to chat with another GSD mama. ❤

Oh man, how horrible for you and poor puppy. I have a puppy who is forever getting into things that he shouldn't. He helped himself to most of a block of chocolate a week or two ago. Luckily he was fine, but gee when i came home and sort that empty packet my heart sank

Hi Jessica I’m so sorry this happened. If a pet isn’t part of the family then that person shouldn’t have pets. I was a human Registered Nurse for many many years and always believed that we should listen to our instincts re whether someone was ill or not (unless proven mental illness regarding this type of situation in the minority of people). I often felt strongly that someone was “not right” and encouraged the Doctor to examine them or run some tests and was proven right to be concerned about them. I can’t always explain why but they just seemed greyed out to me and I knew there was something wrong. I’m a very logical person and believe in science, but also believe in instinct (whether based in years of experience or just a gut feeling). The gastrointestinal system is full of bacteria that can be so harmful to the rest of the body in all mammals and any operation to this area is a huge potential for infection (this is why people need very strong antibiotics and monitoring very carefully after a surgical intervention). The same goes for animals including much loved pets. I really hope he’s on the mend and continues to get back to being healthy soon. The whole thing has been very traumatic for you and your whole family. Unfortunately you can’t explain to a pet what is happening and why they feel so terrible, so it’s really scary for them too. I’m sooo sorry you, your family and your fur baby has gone through this. Sending love and healing your way. Is there any way that we can help with the cost. I know from experience that vet bills can be crippling. If you don’t feel comfortable with receiving donations, is there another way to help? I’m not sure how RU-vid works. Will watching your playlists repeatedly increase your pay from RU-vid? If so I’ll definitely do that.

Why does this almost always happen to our pets during bank holidays?😅 Our family has had so many instances where the pets get sick during weekends and bank holidays when vets are extra closed. Where I live it's very hard to find a vet outside office hours which I just can not understand because as you say, they are absolutely part of our family❤ they are our fur babies, so WHY are vets not more accessible all hours of the day? I hope he is going to be okay🙏🏻

Prayer and faith is the language of God. He loves all his creation. keep praying. Faith is not what we see, faith are things hoped for. remove all guilt - it was an accident. I lost my dog almost 25 years ago and haven't been able to adopted another dog because of guilt, but the Lord restored my faith that love comes in all packages two legged and four legged. Yes they are family. you've done the right things, now just trust in the Lord and his healing power! Jesus said, if thou sayest to this mountian be thou removed and cast into the sea, it shall be removed. according to your faith. Speak healing over your fur baby, he understands God's kingdom and knows that you are praying for him. sending love and healing.
