Mine used to do end to end spinning until he made himself dizzy, then he’d barf on my shoe. It sounds gross, but since he’s been gone two of the loneliest years I’ve ever experienced, I’d give anything to have him here doing it still. Bonding with a Berner is very special.
Same thing with mine... We got a lab and the need for attention has calmed down a bit. They need lots of love, great breed. But won't ever let you sit on the couch alone :)
My girl’s getting old, she ´s 7 years old now and began having hips problems. She can’t jump in the bed anymore. But daddy is there to help her out and we still have these precious moments together, hugs, massage, kisses and serious talking !!

Yup! So accurate. Mines not allowed on our bed though, but he sneaks a snuggle in here or there. My husband leaves for work so early, sometimes my BMD will get on the bed and I’ll think it’s my husband. His weight in the bed feels like another adult. Until he lays his head on my face!!
K Summers 😂 that’s great! Yeah ours always comes when our alarms go off for morning snuggles! And right before bed he likes to gets some cuddles in but then he goes right to the hallway to sleep . I think he gets too hot
I love watching every moment of your videos! I just lost my 10 yr old Bernese to cancer and your videos bring a smile to my grieving heart. My Bentley was very much like your Benny, I see so many similarities in their personalities. They are the best love bugs, 💕
My daughter has been begging for a Berner. We got him last sat and is 9 weeks old. Omg like having a baby again. He is very busy. And the biting !! Those little teeth are like razors. And he won’t leave my shoes alone. I am a cat person and this is my first puppy.
Oh yeah!! Its like having an infant! And they are slow to mature! Lol so you’ll have a puppy for a while!! I will say Benny calmed down a BIT at around 1 years old Tips- lots of chew toys!, Lavender essential ( Benny hates the smell and runs away), and lots and lots of exercise!
I have 2 Berners under 2 years old. They're my 3rd and 4th Berner, but the first time I've had 2 at once. My first we also had a rescue pug. My second we had a rescue Dane/Lab mix. These 2 are absolutely insane
When I need to feel good and laugh I turn to Benny what a sweet goof ball-with NOTHING BUT LOVE IN HIS MIND SOUL & HEART. Wish everything & everyone would be a Benny Berner soul
My neighbour brought mine back to my wife yesterday, Workwise, i have to travel a lot, so i ve been abroad at that point, she sneaked outside and waited before his door, the entire night, she thought, i was somehow still inside his house, they are very loyal, very territorial, they are amazing family dogs, and they ll be ... the love of your live
I have a GSD and he does all this. BUT my bed is his bed. Since he was a puppy he wouldn't sleep in anything unless he was closed in it, so kennels. But I made the decision that I got a dog to relieve my anxiety and keep me safe at night, and if he's closed in a kennel he can't do that, and a bed on the floor he would just whine to get up with me. So my decision was to share the bed with him. He keeps to his side unless I leave for the bathroom, then he takes my spot.
If you’re a loner, this ain’t the dog for you! Guinness is almost 9 and our shadow- lovable & squeezable- I know that sad day will come and dread it!! They are great family dogs!

I can tell that boy loves you with all his heart. But, I can also tell you that you created that “monster.” When he was a puppy, you encouraged every little bit of that affection. Yep. He’s addicted to his momma.
Well we only got him at 8 months and he just turned one in June... lol Their breeds are naturally very needy. He also had a lot of medical issues when we first got him. So we are just starting to train him more. Their breed also mature slower than most dogs . He will act like a puppy till around 3 years old
Benny Berner: My bad. I assumed you had him since he was little. Somebody spoiled him into thinking it was OK to invade a person’s space whenever he wanted. Probably because he was so darned cute and lovable when he was a puppy. I can see how it happened. Anyway, he’s a wonderful, big hearted fella, so enjoy the heck out of him.
Wow, he is so cute!! I love Burmese mountain dogs. I appreciate my German shepherd after seeing this, she will settle close by and leave me be. Every now and then she’ll come over for some affection or play. Happy Mother’s Day!
Bernese Mountain dogs are the best IMO and this video is fun to watch. I knew one who belonged to a friend of mine and she was cuddly as hell. However, she was not allowed into the living room so you could get away from here and she would go lie down in her area. Having any dog share your bed with you is considered a big nono where I live (Europe) so having to cope with behaviour like this boils down to setting your own boundaries from the get-go. If you teach your pup that the bed is off-limits, it will stay so. And especially with sociable dogs like Bernese that sounds like a good thing to do, even when it's sometimes funny to have them act as this one does.
I called him on to the bed for this video! Just to show how forceful berners cuddles can be. He listens when I tell him to get down. He is allowed to cuddle with us but he always leaves and sleeps on the floor outside out room
@@BennyBerner Aha! Yeah, I know how fond they are of cuddles and being petted. Good thing, I was sort of afraid this was what you had to go through every time you went to bed or went for a short lie down.
My Minnie (Bernese Mountain dog) is just like your Benny!!! 😂😂😂 It is all about her and wanting me to rub her 24-7 lol She’s 2.5 and still thinks she’s a puppy and wants to play all the time. We just love her!!!! They honestly are the best dogs and just so great to have around children. Our Minnie is my younger son’s emotional support dog. We just spoil her! Enjoy every second with him ❤️ Just adorable.....
Stephanie Lynch I’ve read they act like puppies till about three! Benny is also my ESA! They are such loving cuddle dogs! Yes they can get annoying but they mean well! I’ve never met a dog that will just cuddle with me all the time and give me hugs
