I remember those days, the papers and the media used to say the players were well overpaid back then etc. Now we look back at it as a more easier simple time.
I love this little Giggs story about the club car. He couldn't get it even though he was a big young star at the best team in the league. Nowadays young players get ridiculous contracts withouth playing two proper games.
When u have players who has the same mentality like the manager, everything becomes easy. These days you’ll be happy if the players can do the basics. At the end of the day, man management is so important and i think Sir Alex is the master at that.
stsrted following United 85 and really. thought we would win league 85-86 after winning cup that summer. won 13 & drawn 2 of first 15 in league still blew it. Following season Fergie took us over we were in relegation zone November, 87-88 good season as RU. Next 2 seasons were an utter disaster. Fans bayed for his blood and wanted rid. He won the FA cup in 90, cup winners cup 91, league cup 92 we could see he was building an empire now. Following United from 92-2012 was a feeling of consistency, invincibility. We either won league most times or ran the winners to the death. It felt like being a young child knowing that your Dad would always make things right, was always there, made sure you had everything you needed. We gorged on trophies year in year out. It was a feeling of total security and safety in the hands that this man SAF would always come good. It was an all encompassing aura that SAF and the team he put out each weak gave off. It's been gone for so long now but the memories are there forever. When he goes his loss will be too great. LEGEND
My Manager. My Club. My chairmain. United Till I die. Standards, determination, respect and winning. Sir Alex and the Class of 92 and King Eric all Legends.
People forget Alex didn't win anything at united for years n years until the fa Cup replay win v crystal Palace then the next year won the uefa Cup beating Barcelona in the final and he was up n running he was given the time to make the team the way he wanted to he got rid of some big stars very soon after he got to the club n started a different vibe and rules behind the scenes
No ones forgot, we lived through it and it was a different era, also it may of taken time but he had a lot of credit in the bank with what he achieved in Scotland and the squad was lacking but they still played good football, there was no massive space left in midfield, we knew if a midfielder made a mistake the defence could handle it and if that failed they had the keeper to beat unlike todays squad! No we dont forget it took Sir Alex time because the idiots that insist Ten hag deserves a new contract and a third season keep telling us lol
He was a great manager the training with the players show how well prepaid their were for each game their knew exactly what to do and it showed in their success He did not get this straight away but how he manage to make a team form into what their became in the premier league it's no doubt his one of the great managers in football and now we still see manchester at their best only difference its the blue side of manchester now
Martin Edwards was an excellent chairman for United, from what I've seen and heard over the years. Let's just hope that INEOS can come close to replicating or even bettering this over the next few years, as far as operations go.
Good times, great players, hard working individuals all throughout the club, no pc bullshit either, no drama from the players in the press all the talking done on the pitch. Ferguson had everyone on a leash at the club and it worked.
And that is where ten hag fail miserably with his lack of concern on finance and business acumen. Spending 600m and still nothing to show for other than mediocre players, subpar performances, high wages and a waste of supporters hard earned money and effort.
Winds his wife up at breakfast, gets into his expensive Club car to got to work, tells Ryan Giggs to F*ck off when he asks for a Club car. Skull 💀 A standard day for Sir Alex. 😂
This vid tells you everything about why Fergie was successfully and Ten Hag never will be. All Fergie’s players are mini-me’s l, he created a production line of dominance. I mean, who looks up too Ten Hag, no one, he prefers distance with his players to approachability. He’s a knob head.
ferguson was just lucky...he inherited the best young players in the world... and it was so easy too keep strenghtning the squad...them days......just look at the load of shite he left behind.....he milked it for is own benefit......
