This was part of a video presented for a research project for an abnormal psychology class I took at the Daytona State College. This was actually my first attempt at playing around with editing a video and putting it together, as some could tell. However, the final version is much better, and looks a tad bit more professorial if you ask me (much longer as well)!
More recently, this is also part of a electronic project for a contest that I will be entering the for annual 2012 APA PT@CC Student Presentation Contest, which is now called, "Mind Over Mother: Schizophrenia VS. Motherhood." In this version, I choose to talk about schizophrenia and motherhood. I wanted to give a brief background of the disorder on its own, but more so go into a mother's life, and take time talking with her, her mother, and daughter. The message I wanted to get through with this interview is that a person, in this case: a mother can have a life of her own, learn to raise a child, and continue to live out her life as long as she seeks the right treatments to stay healthy, as well as she has the support of her small and loving family; but, more importantly to show the difficulties and reconnections between a mother and daughter standpoint.
The final and finished version of the documentary (or interview) can be found here: vimeo.com/4370...
