Lifehouse are an underrated band that added their hearts to the long and wonderful canon of rock music. Much like Hootie and the Blowfish they were washed away by music executives waiting for the next 'big thing.' Many of us are still here listening after all these years 🙂
Gotta go back and relieve those 1996-2004 middle school/high school moments that meant everything.heart aches , friends, getting into trouble, running into music events n those first times we meet our soul mates of that time .
For some people it’s the Kennedy assasination ,for others the moon landing, even John Lennon’s death, but not you for you it was the night Matchbox 20 played on Leno. (I know it’s life house it’s a joke...calm down)
I freaking remember watching this in my bedroom in highschool while doing homework...FLASHBACK! (It's the red shirt!) I think this is when I actually became obsessed with them!
My favorite music personality above all is the country group Lonestar. They pretty much only sing love songs that move you. I have always said that Lifehouse is Rock n Roll's Lonestar. These guys are amazing.
Just have to say again: this is by far, the most outstanding performance of this song I have found on youtube!! I have the albums on my computer, and I even prefer this version over those as well. It just... has a lot of feeling in it, (not that it doesn't always) but just the right kind of soft feeling and mood in the beginning. I also noticed how Jason almost never looks the same in any two live performances or videos, also how he tends to sing this song differently when he's in the moment.
man this is an old recording! :) they have grown so much as musicians and Jason as a singer. so proud of them! they have some AWEsome new songs on the new album. one of my fave bands!!
@@TheCentralflorida Yes, ever since Black Keys and Mumford & Sons debuted their styles, everything after them has been copycat, and alternative is now indie-hipster anthems. 90s alternative/grunge was a really special era, a lot of us miss that era. The days of a distorted guitar are fading....fast....
@@fritzschultze6538 they definitely ARE recognized, idk what you are talking about. This song and “You and Me” were 2 of the most played songs of the 2000s
Never heard this before, I mean played live. I loved the studio version, my old band we covered it way back. This version is better than the studio IMHO.
Desperate for changing, starving for truth I'm closer to where I started, I'm chasing after you ..I'm falling even more in love with you Letting go of all I've held on to...I'm standing here until you make me move I'm hanging by a moment here with you......
Great performance....and before auto-tune microphone technology really kicked in about 7-10 years later that you see in use on a lot of the late night show performances during that period and after.
@TheForgotenDemon I wish I could've found such an awesome live performance of All In from the album smoke and mirrors...I've been searching for it desperately coz I'm totally crazy about that song but I was not able to find even a single good performance :(
