My husband chose this song for our wedding. We were together 10 years, had 2 babies and a 9 month separation in the 10 years before we got married. I never understood at the time why he wanted this song so bad. He passed away on March 27th 2023 very unexpectedly. Massive heart attack at 40 leaving behind me, 19 and 18 year old high school seniors, an 8 year old and a 6 year old. We married in 2013 but we'd been together over 20 years. As I was going through photos for his slide show, I noticed how he looked at me in nearly every picture. He'd smile and look towards the camera when he knew his photo was being taken. If he didn't realize it, he was looking at me like I was the only girl in the world. We loved each other so much. Knowing how much that man loved me is what gets me through for our kids. When you meet the person out there that loves you that much, don't ever take it for granted ❤

My Dad passed away when I was 13. Shortly after I got really sick and was in the hospital. My Mom and I sang this song together. The song remained our song over the years, and is such a bright spot. I took my Mom off of life support on November 1st, 2021. I thought about listening to this song for so many weeks, and finally got the courage to do so this evening... such good memories.

this is one of mine and my husband's songs 11yrs together 6yrs married 2 beautiful boys💙 and I'm playing it for him while he's laying in a coma just waiting for him to wake up 😢 UPDATE!! 3/1/17 He's awake has been for a few months now. We are in a rehab center the last two months and two days and he's making amazing progress ! Thank you everyone for there kind words he loved all of them💙💚 UPDATE!! 3/6/17 WE'RE FINALLY GOING HOME!!💚💙😍😍 UPDATE!! 1/28/20 He has made great progress since the last update he can walk with NO assistance he does have some memory issues but not as much as they thought he would! Even tho we are no longer together :( I am very proud him and the progress he has made and continues to make 🙂 (I do see your comments but im not sure why I can't comment back to them ☹️) Apparently you have a limit of comments that you can reply back to go past that and it says resources exhausted check quota lol 🤷🏼‍♀️

The first time I heard, I knew it was different than other songs..... It's peaceful, beautiful, honest amazing, sweet, actually sincere.... Just like you were mom.....

This is my moms and stepdads song when they got married, he was the dad I never had and he treated me like blood even though we were not related at all. He passed away 12 days ago to a random heart attack at age 46 and he was gone just like that. We played this song at the funeral and man I have never cried like I did then. I’m going to miss him so much. RIP Rusty. I’ll always remember you.

I’m here after crying my eyes out in anger Bc my husband went from supporting our whole family to rock bottom over these past couple of years. Our love has always been a fairy tail but trial after trial and life makes us have to put our love on the back burner to survive. I came here to be reminded of the essence of us. Simpler times when our love was all we needed in this horrible world. Great memories. The innocence of love!!! I hate what this world does to people. We don’t even have time to focus on each other Bc we constantly have to focus on surviving. Thank u for creating this masterpiece that reminds us to just slow down and be.

After my father passed away 😞 My daughter Emily and I were talking in my bedroom and I went into the master bathroom and she was laying on my bed. The alarm clock radio came on and this song was playing 😇 As we listened to it we knew it was coming from my father 😢 What a blessing to know that he still wants me to know how much he loves me 💖

Everytime this song out on radio, i will easily get emotional and sometimes even crying. So today i decided to search for the song, and YES. here i am at 1: 13 AM , 18th of December 2020.

I was born in 2000. I’ve noticed as I get older that a lot of memories from growing up kind of fade away. But every time I hear any song from the early 00’s I’m automatically transported back to car rides with my family. Just sitting in the back seat and quietly singing along.
