APO ruined the server, everyone was trying to claim the spawn which resulted in too much conflict. So people with less gear and hearts just wouldn't log on

@@yourdad9083 nah APO isnt specifically at fault, what was happening was great. conflict is what drives the server. i love that even mapic and ro were starting to take on the villain role which they knew would give people a reason to fight and be passionate about getting on. the thing that ultimitely ruined it was A, the lack of reasons to get on early in the season. until mapic and ro assumed villian roles no one really had anything to fight for or a reason to get on, so their motivation dwindled. and B, once the villian arc + server started making a comeback, they got hit with the dumb exploits, which could have been a good plot point if done well, but sadly it wasnt done very well. it just caused a wealth gap so severe from the exploited items that there was nothing most players could even log on and do anymore. plus i think most players sorta started this season a little burnt out from doing the same thing over and over in season 3. i think it would have been smarter to take a short break in between season 3 and 4 to not only get mentally rested and prepared for season 4, but to actually take time to go over the concept of the season and some of the directions they wanted to go this season to really give it an overarching theme and make it different from season 3. since they didnt do that, most players started the season with low motivation already, and no one had a clear idea on what to do this season thus making it way too similar to season 3
