Thank you very much for making this video. I got the Costco version and mine only had 1 window, a long shelf that goes in the back of the shed and 6 little hanging style brackets for the walls which are super convenient. Im using the 8ft x 12.5ft shed for my Electric Scooter fleet and Gokarts and this more than meets my needs. After measuring the shed its really 7ft 9 inches x 12ft but again the missing 3 inches x 6 inches is not a deal breaker for my use. Thank you for making this shed super sturdy with all the framing you guys added to it. Its much better than my rubber made 7x7 shed.
You must absolutely must have a level base. Also, use the customer service number to talk to a live person to tell you what name/number of the screws are. For example, the manual it says use ADZ. The bag does not have ADZ , it only has a number. Labeling the bag of different screws will make your life 1000 % easier
How durable are these in Canadian winters? I understand that you can get winter hardware for heavy snow falls but my concern is cracking from the cold? -35C or -31F? Is this thing just going to shatter?
I have corner trim pieces on my model but can't find a video section on this. The paper instructions just say to screw them in with 6 screws for each trim piece, but not really clear where and there is no set Holes for me to go by. Do they just go anywhere?
The tabs on the two floor end panels don’t line up. There is no forcing them. They must have sent the wrong panels. I’m at a stand still till Monday when I can reach out to lifetime.
How well does these hold up with certain winds? I think I saw it was rated from 41-81mph. Have you gotten any complaints regarding anything about that? Weighing almost 600lbs total, I would hope it wouldn't blow away.
Our sheds are rated for 65 mph winds. You can increase that by anchoring your shed and adding an extreme weather kit which would increase that to 90 mph. We do not claim wind resistance above 90 mph.
We don't have a video for model 60305 yet. But we do have a video for model 60356, which is an 8x10 shed. The assembly is the same for both of these models. The only difference is there is an additional set of wall panels, roof panels, floor panels, and an additional truss. Here is the link to that video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7mvSTe8LCB4.html
I am having problems with door. Is the door to the left suppose to be permanent cause I can't fit it without it being to loose it can't lock in place or can't even fit in 4.2

Uh oh! That shouldn't be the case. Would you be able to email us your shed, contact, and shipping information to RU-vid@lifetime.com so we can get this taken care of for you?
I'm 80 years old, just finished it, took two days, what a job, you have to pound the corner sections to get them to lock in and the roof panels need a lot of adjusting ,flexing the walls and clamping to get alignment, have fun
this looks like a nice shed better than most of its type. I'm considering buing one and have couple questions. I see that this lifetime channel replied to a comment only 8 days ago so, guess i could get a reply. 1st if there is any problems with delivery will it be easy to get the problem fixed. and also, if any parts are missing is it easy to have relpacements sent. 2nd dose lifetime products offer any warranty on the shed such as like 1 year assurance that it stays standing hahaa really though, like 1 year guarantee that the roof, panels and hard ware will stay good. thanks for a reply as it would help me decide if this is the one to buy.
Thanks for the comment! Here’s the answers to your questions: If there are any issues with delivery, you will need to contact either the shipping company or the retailer where you purchased your shed. If needed, replacement parts are available and can be ordered through our customer service department. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT). I was looking for a decent and stylish shed, this was catching my eye already,it’s delightful watching..he is so calm throughout the whole process,he did a decent job! I’m now go for it..
Thank you for the video, very helpful! In future videos, may I suggest going slowly and explicitly when showing orientation of a part (e.g. 4.2), less time on repetitive tasks like tightening fasteners. Also, on my kit, one of the holes for the door strike plate was full of plastic goo so I had to drill it out.
I’m a Professional Handyman with over 30 yrs of construction experience, it took me 8.75 hrs to complete with a helper. The hardest part was getting the corners to lock in. I weigh 170 lbs and I needed my helper who was about 200lbs for both of us to pull the corner down into place. The latch on the right door hit the strike on the left door, needed another 1/4” clearance. I’m pretty sure this is a design flaw. There was no room for either door to move over. The hardware holes need to be moved over but that’s on the manufacturer. So only able to latch the top latch on the left door because you need to pull both doors open at the bottom by about 12” in order to get the latch to clear the strike plate on the left door. Unable to use the bottom door latch. Also the gable panel for the door end was missing the lip to fasten to the roof. Bad mold job. This video was key to a speedy build!!! Great video by the way, very thorough and concise!!!
I never find building things a challenge. This one was a different story. What I found difficult about the build was that the tolerances on many pieces were way off. We spent more time trying to line up pieces or pry or rubber mallet them into place than we did actually turning the screws and nuts. Even had to tap a few holes of my own where the screws would not line up. Like you, we needed about 360 lbs total to pop in the corners and on one we also needed to recruit an extra neighbor. I have the exact same problem with our doors as you. I found that if I flex the right door, I can pry it closed. Will likely later shave off some material and retap the strike plate for easier closing.
Just had the same experience installing this shed.... Two of us took 8.5 hours to assemble it all. We had an issue with the right door being too high by the same 1/4 to 1/2". Not sure how to modify it to fit. They are quality materials on the shed, but we had to wrestle with corner panels and the roof pieces to get everything to line up.
Hi, I have this shed in the middle of building it. I got the foundation done and everything set up to attach and screw. I’m at the corner wall and wall panels, I’m having the hardest time with the corners, the part where you push in the tabs just won’t push through, I tried the wood trick underneath as well it’s difficult. I even sprayed WD40 on one to try, any tips as a single mom having a hard time building this thing that you would recommend for the wall to make it easier? Also it’s hard to grab the top and push on it because of the groove on top it I think with gloves it should be better? I need to get this done asap, appreciate it thanks
Sorry to hear you’re having troubles. I won’t be able to determine the issue you’re having with out pictures. Please send some over to customercare@lifetime.com so we can see where we can help you!
If you put the piece of wood right underneath the tabs that should work. I tried just sticking it underneath the floor close to the tab but that didn't work. When I put it directly underneath the tab that worked on every tab after that.
It's the last corner just before the doors I'm having trouble with. A search on RU-vid for lifetime shed corner will bring some good advice. You can shave off some of the tab, someone used a heat gun to help, or use a rubber mallet to hit from the top downwards with a block of wood under the tabs, or even hit from the bottom upwards if you can get the floor high enough. Good luck😂
I just finished this project. I worked solo and it took about 12 hours total which I spread over a few days. I used paver panels and leveling sand with 12-in square bricks. I wanted to do solid concrete but concrete is overpriced lately. this solution was not perfectly flat but it was good enough for the shed. it was necessary to put the plastic spacer under the wall panels to get them to snap in, per the instructions. I wonder if some people miss that based on the comments. The two back corners were very hard to install and align with the walls. but in the end, it feels very solid and heavy. it would have been a little easier if my foundation was perfectly flat. it was close. because of that, I can't criticize the shed construction. it was very good overall. I'm satisfied with the end result. as others have said, the doors are a flawed design. The bushings don't work very well. I had to skip the cotter pins and just hammer the door hinge pipe down as far as it would go into the bushing. I don't like the pipe hinge. it's sturdy but the doors don't line up at all. Even with the leveling wedges. I recommend a metal bushing for the bottom of each door hinge. The poly material is just too soft. I can close the doors by slamming the second door a bit. I wish it closed nice and neatly.
I have spent multiple frustrating days assembling this shed. Trying to lock in the corner walls was very frustrating to say the least. There are many better/easier ways to accomplish the same end result.
We're sorry to hear this! Our goal with these videos is to make the assembly as hate free and easy as possible. That could be causing it. Maybe check out our video on aligning your roof panels. Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iQYsra3ehts.htmlsi=qptvvpzaxJnvzPpK

When he uses the rubber mallet to hammer that rail to the door, place some other rubber or plastic garbage on the rail end or kiss your rubber mallet good bye.
This shed should come with supports. If you're missing supports please reach out to our customer service team to receive your missing parts. They can be reach at customercare@lifetime.com or through phone (800) 242-3865 M-F 7 a.m- 5 p.m MST.
This my first time building a shed-in-a-box, I’ll say the end result is amazing. Crazy spacious and sturdy. Only hard part for me was the roof panels (I did them by myself on a day off when no help was close lol) but after some WrestleMania tactics, it all got lined up. Video was super clear. Lets see how she holds up over the years through some good old Canadian weather
Wondering why the other 8x12.5 shed only comes with one shelf and the one shown has multiple corner shelves and 2 small shelves. Spending almost $1900 and only getting 1 shelve is pretty disheartening.
The biggest cause of this is actually the foundation that the shed is built on. If the foundation is not completely level, you could have issues with the assembly and getting the doors to line up.
Please give our customer service team a call and we can troubleshoot the issue with you and see if we can figure out what is happening. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).
Sorry you're having troubles. We found that this step is easier when you have a block of wood in front of the panel to push against. This won't only help by getting the corners in its place but also prevent bent tabs. If you have any other questions or need more assistance, please reach out to our shed experts. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (MT).
Yes, you can leave off one one wall panel on each side to create a smaller shed. You will also need to leave off a floor panel, truss, and set of roof panels.
You said ÄGW" for both back panels instead of ""AGW" for the right rear and AGL for the left rear. In the literature your Left/ Right orientation is confusing. In an automobile in North America the left side (left hand drive) the convention is from the rear of the car looking towards the front. Lifetime uses the opposite convention; that is from the front looking to the rear. It is an unnecessary point of confusion. Stating this at the front page of the manual would be helpful.
We are sorry to hear that the orientation of our manual was confusing. We are always open for suggestions, and we will relay your experience and recommendation to our engineering and writing teams. If you have additional questions you can always reach out to our customer service experts.
Only 2 of my wall support beams fit into the grooves of the wall panels. The rest of the beams are a bit too long, I have to cut into the wall to make them fit. It’s been pretty cold here so I don’t know if the plastic may have constricted?
That shouldn't be the case. Give our customer service team a call and we can trouble shoot the issue with you and see if we can help figure out what's happening. You can try gently pushing on the inside of the back wall panel to get it back into place for the screws to line up. If this doesn't work, give our customer service team a call and we can trouble shoot the issue with you and see if we can help figure out what's happening. @@LifetimeProductsAssembly can you purchase corner pieces by themselves? Because our corner pieces are just messed up. They are both bent inwards. all roof panels but the last two are installed and the last 2 will not align with the holes or the back wall.
I just built one and the floor buckled in 84 degree weather. Does any one know why? It laying on brick pavers and leveled. Just imagine what it would be in Texas or Arizona.
I'm in the middle of building one. Haven't put the roof on yet and the floor is literally blowing up where the sun is hitting it. Like the air between the layers.of the floor is expanding and blowing the floor up like a balloon. It was 2 or 3 inches difference than the shaded part of the floor.
Love the video made my job easier then using the instructions booklet. took me about 9 hours to complete by myself...love the shed... Once again, great video.
Hiring someone without a speech impediment would have been preferable, and not leaving out steps that are in the manual would have made things less confusing. smh.
He actually doesn't have a speech impediment... but if you are having a hard time understanding him, there is the option to turn on subtitles. Thanks for the feedback!
