I like how if you listen very closely, when Bill Hader is escorting Anna Faris off-stage at the very end of the skit you can hear him say, "You belong to me, now."

The “oral sex for bracelets” was actually a plot in one of the movies on Lifetime from whenever I was younger. 😂

Everyone is talking about how terrifying Bill is in this skit, but I just keep going back to Andy “Boy Tanya” Samberg’s crying face at 2:37.

Flawlessly written. Flawlessly executed. The only ones not pulling their weight were the audience.

Pretending to rake leaves was an awesome addition.

This really is one the better SNL sketches, with a satisfying beginning, middle and end. Many start out with a funny set-up and then just fizzle out.

"Tanya has bruises on her shoulders." "Tanya!" "Judges?" *ding* I don't know why, but to me, that's the funniest part.

Anyone else love the way Hader pronounces Tanya here?

I loved this era of SNL. Hader, Wiig, Sudeikis, Poehler, Armisen, Rudolph, Samberg and so many more. They elevated so many skits that probably would not have been as hilarious with other performers. This was perfection!

Anna and Bill have portrait here in a few lines and expressions the crude reality of domestic abuse. The terror, the brutality, that empty eyes... Magistral.

This is my favourite of the SNL "American Dream subversion" sketches. From the meticulously pleasant and clean-cut set with cream curtains and pink floral wallpaper to the confused anxiety in the eyes of the leave-raking contestants as they struggle to make sense of their role. Surely someone with THREE Jos in their name couldn't possibly live anything other than a picture-perfect suburban life? Even the way the host impatiently dismisses the viewers at the end with a curt wave and "bye" as he turns back to prey on Mary-Jo Beth JoJo after she's just realised she is the prize. It's surreal and darkly hilarious- and imho SNL at their best.

I just LOVE the two people who IMMEDIATELY got what they were getting at with "you're not going anywhere". It took everyone else about 2 beats before they bust out.

I laughed when he said "or so it would seem" in that dramatic voice. Bill will never be out of work. Perfect voice for game shows, and any narration or host.
