Coaster season is about to begin! The sounds of anti rollbacks, chain dogs, and brakes engaging the brake fins will soon fill the air… not to mention the smell of oily tracks, and greased lift chains. #kingsisland #cedarpoint #dollywood
Thank you for this video, concentrating on the most essential and taken for granted element of the ride-the lift hill. To me, it is just as exciting as the drops. Unfortunately too many vlog-ers choose to edit out the lift hill climb, feeling it is of no interest. But, biologically speaking, your blood pressure begins to rise before you even connect with the chain dog. By the time you get to the top, you are ready to scream!
I love the tiny clicks of the Bat before you lock onto the lift hill, but I will say that the most iconic chain lift has to be those of Arrow Dynamics loopers and Magnum XL 200
Love the ominous sound of 90’s B&M lifts. The one for Raging Bull at Great America sounds like you’re ascending a cliff where you’ll fall to your death.
Ahhhh! Arrow suspended. I miss "my" XLR-8 (only one to have backward facing cars) Theses sounds + braking are all therapeutic. Especially If you have a seasonal park. Man Arrow Schwarzkopf had some really cool lift sounds. B&M very distinctive as well. Thanks for letting us NERD OUT with you!
@@RollerCoasterExpedition Looking forward to it! I regret I never got recording of sled brakes PTC's on Texas Cyclone. Really cool sound. Morgan's had caliper brakes. "my" Schwarzkopf Greezed Lightnin. Got lots of footage of that one + bull wheel brake end. Clutch end also.
@@michaeltaylor1603 I remember when The Beast had the Skid Brakes and the sounds it made. Beast on a rainy day was always fun back then as the skids would be slick enough to not slow the trains down as much as the magnetic trims that we have now.
@@RollerCoasterExpedition Thanks so much! I made a Ghostbuster Girl video at a Haunted Amusement Park, I used some sounds and video clips and credited you! Feel free to check it out! 😄
