As a new lifter, I love these videos (until I can pay for some of that PT)! I’ll submit some videos when it’s with a weight that isn’t sad. I would not lift it weren’t for BBM, and you have significantly increased my quality of life. Probably have some health benefits too 😂. Thanks!

12:50 I took the safeties off for the video, promise! 😅They completely cover the side view, other than the bar path. Thank you so much for the tips, I never considered doing anything with my shoulder blades after I already set up for the lift. And I'll definitely look into my past programming/bench frequency to see if anything correlates. Thank you!!

I've just gotten around to watching these and found them really useful. Definitely going to incorporate some of the cues you've mentioned into my own lifts!

Just wanted to say these videos have been super helpful! Made a few tweaks to my squat and deadlift that made PRs much easier last week.

Love the advice and series, Dr. Feigenbaum! Had the pleasure of meeting you back in spring in Winnipeg and have been following your new bench form for me (elbows out wider) and it got me a PR of 285lbs!

I really appreciate these form checks. Very few, 0 infact, people I trust in my gym to critique form where I would believe their criticisms

Am I alone in thinking that squatting 140kg as a women at 14 years old is ridiculous? The deadlift also looked easy for her.

Hey Jordan, what's your honest take on knee slide? I guess apart from being inefficient and having the potential to lead to the gm squat pattern, there are many world champions squatting this way without issue...
@BarbellMedicine
@BarbellMedicine 10 месяцев назад
I haven’t seen many elite lifters squat this way, mainly because the back angle change and or potential loss of balance is/are untenable at higher loads. That said, people have different styles and I think there’s a range of variation in what’s most efficient for an individual. If the back angle doesn’t get crazy and people don't lose balance, I’m pretty much fine with it in an experienced lifter. In a newer lifter, I’d probably be more apt to change it and see what happens regardless.
@CCSABCD
@CCSABCD 10 месяцев назад
I love me some knee slide, Bryce Lewis does it with great success, it is maybe more suited to high bar/upright torso because the change in back angle would be way less (?
@BarbellMedicine
@BarbellMedicine 10 месяцев назад
@@CCSABCDit does tend to happen with more vertical torso’s, but again, a lot of this can be explained by personal preferences and self organization.
