Hi! Does this ironman kit affect the performance of the engine, transmission, differential? Causing an excessive wear of any of the components? Excellent video!!
This was awesome.. been lookin to do the same for my 2021 Forester sport with the iron 4x4 lift but I'd go with black Methods instead of the bronze or maybe Black Rhino Sand Storm or Fuji or the Sparco Terra SE, plus also install the Rally Innovations rally light bar and Primitive Racing 3 piece under armor build for the start.. haha
We have not had any customers complain about either of these issues. Larger tires could certainly put more strain on a transmission so CVT issues could be a higher potential. We haven't noticed any issues or received any complaints about how the cars drive after modifications though!
Hahaha hardly my guy! A touch stiffer, but you've got more sidewall now cushioning the ride too. It changes the dynamic for sure, but it's a far cry from even a modern 1 ton ride

Looks great! I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my 21 Forester sport. If I just put spacers in to lift my Forester, is there any downside to that? Or is putting in a whole new strut system the safest way to go?
Strut spacers are a great option because they do not alter the ride other than to raise the center of gravity slightly. Check out some of the options from Anderson Design Fabrication - www.awdadventure.com. They do not allow for more suspension travel, nor to the stiffen the ride (note that a 'preload spacer' will stiffen the ride somewhat). Most full strut replacement lifts will alter suspension travel and ride characteristics. Your goals and how you drive the vehicle on and off pavement will determine what choice is best for you. Often times too with older vehicles people make the choice of a full strut kit if theirs are due for replacement anyway.
@@MountZionOffroad I live in South Florida and love the Offroad look but I do not want to sacrifice my ride quality too much. I'll look into this option, thank you!
Sorry we didn't have that in the description - 17x8 +38 with 245/65R17. Some minor trimming was required but obviously nothing major was cut or removed.
You can order from ironman4x4america.com/ but as for having it installed, you'll need to locate a shop near you that you trust to do the work. There's also Anderson Design & Fabrication in Sandy, OR if that's closer to you. Not sure they do any installations, but no doubt they'd know some shops in the region. Their site is awdadventure.com/
You can call it what you want to... We used the Ironman 2" ATS Suspension Lift Kit #SUB007KG. Full strut replacements front and rear with a sub frame drop in the rear. The same customer brought us his brand new Outback Wilderness to install the same kit a few months later.
We aim the headlights, make any necessary adjustments to alignment and drive train components. The safety systems are not affected, and unfortunately there is no way to recalibrate the speedometer
