The laser toner is lil micro particles of plastic and when you add heat it melts which is what the foil sticks to. Love these cups! Especially the dark so freaking pretty!
Girl, you are the queen!!!👸🏾Your level of creativity is next level. With your art background, do you feel that helps you see things different as a tumbler artist? Do you dabble in other types of artistic expression?
Oh it definitely helps! I use techniques I learned in college in the creative process, especially when coming up with ideas! I currently don’t have time to do much else, but I LOVE drawing and pen and ink. I miss those mediums a lot! Hopefully, I can play in my sketch book soon! ☺️
Vanessa these tumblers are absolutely stunning, I love your work & easy to follow videos…. They are both beautiful but my favorite is the dark one😍 Thank you for always bringing the fire🔥❤️
Beautiful, as always. It was one of your videos that got me into tumblers, to begin with. And thank you for the links in the description. I ordered a few things I needed. I don't know why I need a house - I practically live on amazon!
Absolutely love these cups! In love with your mica technique. It gives me life 😆 seriously 😊 My favorite one is the dark one because I my fav colors are sapphire blue and black. Thanks an amazing tutorial as always. Have a blessed Mothers Day. Stay blessed 🙏🏽
Awesome!!! Have fun! (I also have a another dark galaxy tutorial I did last year too, if you’re interested! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P_55zdUxbpE.html
You’re so talented..your cups are beautiful. I know it’s personal preference but why do you not do the butts? I know when I’ve tried sometimes I can’t get the edges on the bottom covered or it repels from the edges. Did I answer my own question 😂? You’ve probably have said in one of your videos I haven’t watched all yet 😊 I do use TSM tumblers.
Rewatching this video & wondering if I could skip buying a laminator (especially since I need to buy a laser printer) & use one of my heat presses? Have you tried that?
I wonder if you can do this with any foil papers with a laser waterslide printout. Just need the heat to melt the toner particles for the foil to adhere to.
I wonder if you cut the image out on HTV, put the foil over the image and ran it thru the liminator if it would work. I'd still have to weed it but I only have a inkjet printer.
I noticed that you have a different cup turner. I thought you used to have a cupasaurus. What are you using now? It looks like it will do a lot of cups at once.
My original is a Cupasaurus! After four years of continuous daily use, she was getting a tad run down; so I bought another one but have yet to set it up! I’m currently using a Boan Turner which was given to me to try out! Loving it!
@@VMDDesigns I hope you do a review on the Boan turner! I so love the Cupasaurus I have, but it is showing its age. I have eyed the Boan but it would be hard to beat the Cupasaurus!
tho the color laser printer will not gonna give you vibrant images as inkjet printers and if you will only use it as foiling then better stick on monochrome laser printer its cheaper and better for foiling
The laminator pouch doesn't adhere to the project or itself? I thought that is what a laminator is used for? To incase the object you put in it. I'm confused.
Vanessa - PLEASE HELP!!! Could you or one of your viewers please help me with this one? I've tried the foil waterslide every way I know how, and the foil keeps sticking everywhere EXCEPT to the toner. I've tried the foil toner I've used for months on transparencies that worked on them, I got some gina k. foil and another brand of toner foil from amazon. They all do the same thing. I tried the waterslides I've used normally, and I bought some Hayes waterslides. I used my long-time laminator, and I bought a new amazon basics laminator. They ALL leave a lot of foil on the areas outside the toner, but nothing on the toner. I use a Brother laser printer. PLEASE HELP!
I just got a laser printer and the Hayes waterslides, and a minc laminator (sale!). The foil sticks over the entire square of paper, including the toner areas. It covers it all. I’ve tried hotter and cooler. Idk what I’m doing wrong. 🙈
@@tamiballard9444 it could be the foil! Here is a link to the original tutorial using a minc laminator. (I have a cheapy one from Amazon. Lol) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ryhu5dykSjY.html
