"This area is really dark and I'm trying to make it brighter." - Homeowner
Daylight and Soft White are both colors of light being emitted from the Light Bulb. When shopping for your next light bulb, you will want to pay attention to the Kelvin Scale. The lower the number results in a warmer tone (more yellow). The higher the number results in a cooler tone (more blue). You should aim for the 2700 - 3500k range.
3000 is Bright White and a homeowner can and should use it in places such as: Outside, basement lights, your favorite lamp, freestanding lamp, or even a table lamp. Anyplace where you want a BRIGHT light this is what we suggest you should use.
Additionally, by switching out your incandescent lights for an LED Light Bulb (like the 3000k Bright White), you are making your home more enjoyable and more pleasant. It's easier on the eyes and it's a more natural light.
There's an incredible amount to learn about light bulbs, but this will give you the basics of light bulbs when it comes to understanding the color. Take a watch and let us know what you think!
