Light Cruiser HMS Belfast - COBI 4821 (Speed Build Review) 

Always amazed how much bigger these build as the thumbnails always look deceptively smaller. Very solid build with fantastic side building techniques for a clean surface. 2022 lineup is looking pretty awesome.

As Cobi ships tend to be this looks great. The construction without any technic pieces and the fact that the front and back of them is not hollow gives them nice weight. The detail is as good as it can be. Although this is NOT a 2022 set. Is is actually quite an old one. So there are not that many prints. For example the bridge could have used some prints for further detail. One thing that annoys me is the fact that no matter the caliber of the guns the same rod is used. It really is not something that can be easily fixed without making special molds. But at this point you could just go for regular plastic model kit. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying Cobi doesn't do a great job. I just wanted to point out that it looks funny when you place 2 ships side by side. One with 150mm cannons and the other with 380mm. Which is a HUGE difference. And they look just the same. :) The overall dimensions and price of this set is comparable to the HMS Warspite. And I dare to say that the Warspite looks better. Overall this is a great model for display purposes since (as any ship) it can be placed on a relatively thin shelf.

I mean it’s great that they brought this back, but if they’re proving that they can bring sets back, why don’t they? There are plenty of tanks and planes with perfectly fine designs that they just don’t sell anymore. Don’t even get me started on the cannons. I would buy up every single cannon, anti-tank gun and anti aircraft placement they would throw at me
