The house that I live in was just sold, marking the end of my time in a place that I've called home for over 2 years, the longest I've lived in any one place in my adult life. My roommates moved out a month ago and I've been spending a lot of time in the living room, which has been left mostly empty other than a folding table, a large plant, and 4 photographs by Young Kim (www.young.kim/). With no couch and no TV, the past month has consisted of profound and intimate conversations with friends gathered around my table, over a drink or a home-cooked meal.
This beautiful space has light pouring in from all around, and lately in the evenings, around 9pm, a beam of light finds its way through the window and dances its way across the walls.
