Regarding that "spring tension adjustment" feature.....I cant find any detail on how it works. It seems if I tighten it down, the pedal becomes inoperable. And if I have it in any other position besides the lowest point, it doesn't allow for any pedal travel. Anyone have advice on this? Any sites? Thanks!

Is the height adjustable on the 8707 flatbase? I just got one a few days ago and I can't figure out how get the height down to where it's comfortable without pushing down the spring.
