@@roblox_cyborgnic heart would start wailing obnoxiously when there's a slightly longer line at the cashier and mind would have to drag him out while soul apologises and takes his place in the line
I really like how, at 6:38, right after Soul says, "Let's blur these lines," Heart and Mind swap backgrounds and instrumentals. And during Heart's section too, at 7:07, I like how his tilted background slowly rights itself as he finally acknowledges all the work Mind's been putting in to keep them all from dying, like things are starting to fix themselves now that genuine effort's being put in to do so
I'm so glad somebody else noticed them switching instrumentals, it's such a fun representation of them trying to see things from the other's point of view.
This is exactly what makes me go crazy for the Light version, I just could never get it into words. Both their parts at that point go insanely hard and I constantly catch myself singing Heart's lyrics. It honestly feels like it's showing how they never filled the right roles which is why they could never agree.
If you notice at 2:02 you see that Chonny shows the hand that he has his nail's colours respectively to Heart and Mind colour, idk if I explain myself- Mind shows the hand his nails are painted black and Heart shows the hand his nails are painted white Also, at 3:11 he only shows the nails of one hand, but his nails are painted with tally hall colours!! This is why I love this man, the amount of detail and tiny things that goes into this is incredible
Oh, I missed that! Good eye. If I may add something, Mind is usually portrayed in the songs without videos with a white background, and Heart the opposite, whether the nail thing symbolizes the lyric/head colors, or if they’re using the other’s color on purpose for the theme of “being like the other side” I don’t know
waitwaitwaitwait i just realized that in the second verse of light mind and heart's instrumental style swaps which matches with how mind and heart's view points also change. one of soul's lines at the repeated first verse at the end of light is "this sad, sulking mess, this human you're being," which contradicts mind's line in the mind electric that refers to heart as a creature that hardly resembles a man because of his emotions. also i like how heart, mind and soul each have different body languages, mind being more relaxed, heart being bunched up, and soul being a mix of both.
to add on, heart being blindfolded is representative of how he doesn't want to see the light. sorry this is most likely incoherent because im writing this at 2:30 in the morning
@@mootodamaxthe charecter at 8:50 isn't soul, it's the fourth charecter "the whole" it's considered to be a combination of all of them, he also shows up in two wuv cover and special I think
A thing I love is that even when Soul switches Mind's and Heart's instrumentals, is that Heart makes the synthetic instrumental still hit high notes, while Mind keeps it low, and vice versa, Mind makes the orchestral instrumental low and menacing, just like him.

I discovered Tally Hall last April, and it still saddens me every day that- chances are- they're never coming back. Here's what I think the chronology (chonnology?) is, along with who's singing what: WELCOME TO TALLY HALL - Soul (with Heart and Mind cameo) Banana Man - Soul Ruler of Everything - Heart and Mind Greener - Soul (with single line inputs from Heart and Mind) Haiku - Heart (and Mind, at the end) Hidden in the Sand - Heart (Potentially Taken for a Ride) Just Apathy - Heart and Mind (and Soul at the start) STORM AND A SPRING - Mind (and Heart) Bad Day - Soul and Heart Mucka Blucka - Heart, Mind, and Soul THE MIND ELECTRIC - Heart, Mind, and Soul Dream - Soul (with two line inputs from Heart and Mind) The Bidding - Heart, Mind, and Soul LIGHT & NIGHT - Heart, Mind, and Soul Be Born - Mind (and Soul) Special - Heart (and Mind and Soul at the end) Spring and a Storm - Heart (and Mind) WE'RE GONNA WIN - Heart and Mind Two Wuv - Soul (and Heart and Mind at the end) Variatons on a Cloud - Heart, Mind, and Soul Never Meant to Know - Soul The Whole World and You - Heart and Mind (and Soul at the start) I've got justifications for all of these (placement and who's singing what), so if there's any questions, feel free to ask! And thank you, Chonny, for creating such a wonderful album. I can't wait for Taken for a Ride!
@@mx_ae Yeah, I can definitely see that, especially considering the "Tonight you've/we've survived out of pity and spite" lines. I put LIGHT & NIGHT after The Bidding because in TB, Soul seems genuinely shocked that Heart and Mind can harmonize at all, even if it's to insult one another. And at the end, they all come to the conclusion that if they "reason [their] rhymes, the dissonance could disappear." That seemed to me to segue nicely into what's going on here, where Heart and Mind (and Soul) harmonize pretty often, and that it's less of a surprise and more of an expectation they do so if they don't want to die. They're also pretty civil here, too, which they aren't really in TB. I could maybe see Night coming before or after Dream, TB happening, and then Light after that, but I don't think anything substantial changes by keeping them together, so eh. Thanks for the insight!
i think it's hard to put down a timeline because there's no reason to think it's a linear journey with no relapses. ruler of everything seems to reference Haiku but these could both be referencing an event that happened far in the past.
It's such a small thing to get fixated on but at 3:08 (which is already an AWESOME sequence visually, by the way) that little finger-tap that Soul does with his left hand over his right shoulder just fits SO EXCELLENTLY. I'm loving this story that we're watching unfold!

I like how just straight up badass Mind looks at 5:23 He looks cold and focused, unemotional, stern. He is characterized perfectly, and looks totally badass as a result. Its the most badass thing ive seen in a long time.
As the song went on I actually started to cry. I've become emotionally attached to these tridential reflections of humanity you sing about, and the character growth displayed here makes me so unbelievably proud of these three (four?). I don't think I've ever been this excited for a song drop, yet every time you post you prove me wrong.

Its gross. Dude is completely stealing TallyHall. Idc if he's adding meaning to the song, the fact that he uses the name, the melody and even most of the lyrics of these songs without crediting is wrong. He's a big youtuber, people can come across this without knowing TallyHall.

really love the colors being portrayed here, with Heart swapping his black out for white (assumedly since THA is set before his color changes ?), and wearing a very simple, comfortable outfit, Mind being in black, with a more complicated, formal outfit, and Soul being in a mix of the two! fun how many details went into this :)
And I love the detail of the Heart being blind (and in what seems to be in a straightjacket, based on 7:00) And the amount of attention that is drawn to the eyes of Soul, being less emphasized in the portions with Mind
@@anida_boi i’ve never heard that before, but it makes sense, esp with Mind and Heart being portrayed in boxes of their opposing color in bidding(?) i believe perhaps its Soul’s doing?
4:20 I gotta say I love the way the notes move here, the harsh sound drawing your attention to the down, up, back and forth pattern they got and the way they hold just long enough to make you really sit with each one. I also think this is the first time the pattern happens which really makes this a differentiating moment compared to what you've heard night
I love how I just got done listening to ChonnyJash version of the mind electric. Then we have this. Where I feel like they all made peace with each other. It's like a story.
Great bit of irony I noticed. The blindfold around Heart’s eyes shows their judgement or mind is warped like their eyesight. But Mind’s outfit is entirely black showing that their emotions or heart is blackened but their head or mind in every shot is surrounded in some form of white light. It’s almost exactly like their old portraits used throughout this and older videos. Amazing attention to detail Chonny. 😊 Edit: Something else I noticed that I don’t see anyone talking about is the difference in how The Soul is portrayed in Light. The soul is half gray like normal but also half pitch black similar to how they’re shown in Night. This could mean two things a. The soul is close to death or at least suicide considering earlier remarks. Or b. This is a combination of The Soul and something else. As we see later in Light where right after Heart and Mind’s lyrics before they combine at the end there is a completely blacked out figure who’s lyrics in the description aren’t bracketed implying this isn’t The Heart, Mind or Soul but the Self as they say “Look out and see me, this sad sulking mess this human your being.”
Mainly because the three characters have differing style of existing, as i like to call it. Mind is either shown only as a mouth, or often covering their head as if he had a headache. Heart has a blindfold because either "Love is blind" or "Blinded by judgment agiants mind" Soul appears sparsely, being both a combo of mind and heart but also a being of it's own, Thus is often shown with tally hall colored nails, or just as grey (Heart is black, Mind is white, combo is soul, grey) Meanwhile the black sillulethe is often called the whole, or the "body". It could technically be called "The vessel" (“You are not that special, yet you run this vessel" from be born) or “The host” ("So if you insist on crying, while our host is slowly dying" not sure where this one is from, i think also be born?)

My favorite visuals by far. I am so happy!!!!!
soooo i have listened to this song a completely normal amount of times (it's been on loop for the past 5 days) and now i'm here to analyze! it's gonna be in a kinda random order of whatever i notice and i'll add more as i see more and people tell me more! - first of all, let's talk about the appearances themselves. in most of the other songs we BARELY see what any of them except soul have to wear, and when we do, it's all very simple. however in this song, the three have very distinct outfits. their outfits are most well seen at 2:00 . the mind wears very sophisticated, dark clothing, with layers and even a necklace to top it all off. however, the heart wears a simple white hoodie and something like white leggings or jeggings.. plus, the blindfold. the soul's outfit seems like a mix of them both- they're wearing a warm (beige?) vest with a light shirt underneath, along with something that looks like black sweatpants. plus, they wear some bracelets. however, the one other song we see all of their outfits well is the mind electric, in which heart was wearing darker and simple clothing. but now, they're wearing comfortable, light clothes. this drastic change could be because of balance being restored from what was essentially the worst stage of unbalance. - next, the night vs light. in night, we see a lot of chonny's signature 'head-against-a-background-with-text-overlapping' shots, though others are definitely mixed in. alongside this, the lyrics go very similarly into the original tally hall song. however, in night, it displays more variation and uniqueness from both the song and those signature shots. in night, the whole video takes more of a.. you aren't really there approach. yes, you see the three speaking, but they aren't really doing it towards you or at you, just.. doing it. the heart, mind, and soul are all talking *at* each other. but in light, there is a lot of directness. you see the three looking (or at least trying to in heart's situation) right at you, not really looking away or changing perspective at ALL through the six minutes. they're talking *to* each other, actually hearing one another and listening. - speaking of night and light! when night switches into light, you see some shot changes between heart and mind. heart is a lot more antsy, covering their ears(?), adjusting their blindfold, and running their hands through their hair, either self-soothingly, distressed, a mix, or it's just the way they are. however, at every mind shot, mind is pretty much completely still. they look right at the camera, blink slowly, then simply glance away and seem to either contemplate, or just let heart do some talking. - throughout night the main chorus mainly consists of, "i want to see your eyes looking back and out through mine." however, this changes when it's the end of night, going into "i want to see your eyes looking back and into mine." when light comes on, it stays as into until finally changing to "out through" at the ending again. this could represent all of them wanting to be heard, and understood, as throughout the album that's one of the things no one's really been doing. it finally changes out again because they're all finally heard, and now, they want to become whole once more. - when heart speaks, they seem to move their head slightly more than mind and soul... however, the heart never seems to lightly flick their head to the side like mind and soul, and never seems to experience a headache like the two of them and instead gripping at their own chest- their heart. instead of being like the other two and experiencing a headache (the mind experiencing one because of constantly trying to use their logic against heart, and the soul experiencing one because of constantly hearing the mind and the heart battle and fight over and over), the heart is experiencing a heartache due to their efforts never being enough for them to ever win against mind. the mind and the soul speak similarly to one another, but seem to have two key differences. while they both don't have much expression, the soul has their head tilted upwards and their head moves more while they speak. this might be me looking way too much into it, too, but they also seem to move eyes a lot more than the mind does. the mind's head is tilted way more straight-ahead than soul's is, and they always seem to be kind of angry while speaking. - getting back on the topic of heart's body language- there's a reoccurring theme that happens often in relations to him. he's often shielding his eyes- you can see it at 0:47 . in multiple other songs, a light or a sun gets mentioned, usually directed at heart. at some points, the mind has even been directly referred to as the sun in the ruler of everything ("juno was mad, he knew he’d been had, so he shot at the sun with a gun... he shot at his wily one only friend.") heart could possibly be shielding himself from the mind by this logic. OR, the 'light' they're shielding themselves from could be a symbol of being united and whole. by avoiding this, the heart has been avoiding the possibility of ever agreeing with the mind... until they do. - in light, you can see a few main key differences in-between who's talking. the colors, the movement of the shot, and the music itself. whenever the heart is shown talking by themselves, the camera pans inward and outward and being tilted. the mind is simply yet more obviously just zoomed out of- however, this happens with the mind only once while it happens with the heart twice. with the colors, the soul has less than a hue from the other two (originally). the mind is a dark figure surrounded by an incredibly white, over-brightened background, making their figure even seem smaller, while the heart a lighter figure in a darker, yet colored green, space. - when you look into the description, each person who can speak has different 'tags' as i'd like to call them. heart uses (this), mind uses [this], and the soul uses the weird mix of the two which is {this}. these tags are there for the entire song.. EXCEPT at 8:48 , which can be called the bridge of the light part. this is an incredible thing because this can mean a few things, but the most obvious and probably most likely one is that the one talking is all of them, but as one whole. i believe there's still voices overlapping each-other, but they might be all considered as one entity now. i'll be adding more as i discover more :)
This is an excellent analysis! Mind (hah) if I add my two cents? So, you mentioned the new, very snazzy outfits. While Mind and Soul have remained mostly consistent in appearances since their "official" debut in THE MIND ELECTRIC sans a few changes (Mind's acquired a jacket, and Soul's nail polish has changed from black and white to multicolored red, blue, yellow, green, and gray), Heart's has seen a complete overhaul. Whereas before he was dressed in all black like Mind, he's now switched to an entirely white outfit, with the exception of the blindfold. While this might be more of a point on TME, the drastic change in attire might be indicative of balance and improvement slowly returning when it was absent during TME, which is essentially rock bottom. It's also worth noting that Heart's more casual outfit can be seen as depression wear; no point in putting effort into your appearance when you feel like shit. Second, while it's true that we don't see Heart massaging a headache like his counterpart, we do see him shielding his eyes from something (the light, in all likelihood) at 0:47, during the line, "Ever is the light on." Not so coincidentally, Mind leaves from wherever he was in the following line ("Is the light on ever meant to run?"), and opens the door to Heart's room(?) at 1:06 ("...a glow in the snow, coming closer to me."). Since Mind is often compared to the sun, being explicitly referred to as such in Ruler of Everything, he is usually synonymous with light as well. Therefore, Heart might have been shielding his eyes from Mind, too. To your point about Light's "talking directly to you" approach, I think that could be a representation of the divide beginning to mend itself. Like you said, in Night, the trio are mostly talking to themselves and _at_ each other. But in Light, they talk directly _to_ one another. I mean, it literally opens with Heart and Mind having a conversation. So while they start off mostly isolated, they blur lines in Light, which allows them to start making progress towards becoming a cohesive whole once more. Here's something interesting: in the main chorus, it ends with "I want to see your eyes looking back and *out through* mine." But at 4:08, at the very end of Night, the line changes to, "I want to see your eyes looking back and *into* mine." The lines stays as "into" as Light progresses, and then changes back to "out through" at 9:44. The initial change from "out through" to "into" could represent a desire to be listened to, something all parties have struggled with consistently throughout the album. Once they do start listening to one another (see above), they switch back to "out through" as a combined desire to be whole again. One more thing. At 9:35/9:36, the line "I want to be like me," glitches out to be "I want to be like meek is the one light." My take on this is that while they're now all on the same page about wanting to be whole, they're still not quite ready to be "me" yet. They'll get there (these lines from The Whole World and You come to mind: "And doctor, I think I am finally me," and "I'm not quite alright/But at least now I'm mine."), but this is very much a start, not an end. Anyway, as I said, great analysis and great points! Sorry about the comment wall, but I had a lot I thought might be interesting to add
@@q-ott39 oh my god you brought up pretty much every point i was also gonna bring up!!!! minds intertwined (Haha) would it be alright to add some of your points into my comment??!?!!!??
@@q-ott39 Hi Q-ott! I agree mostly with you and Emori's points. However, there is one main point I'd like to suggest-- Mind is not the Sun (something for another time, maybe), or at least not the "light". Why would looking at Mind hurt? Even metaphorically, it doesn't make much sense-- it's clear Heart doesn't think very much of his blinding (ha, yeah right) logic. He's not outwardly intense, just cold and sharp. (However, he might be responsible for Heart's injured eyes in a different way; a theory I don't have much credence for yet, but it's there). I think "the light" is a way to refer to the struggle that is being "in control". Maybe not quite that, but being responsible. *Being*, evidently, is not easy. "Ever is the light on"; the struggle never ends, and ignoring it or moping about it won't push it away. It is, however, also *action*. Can't *be* much if you don't *do* much. That's the nightmare of depression, I suppose. This leads into-- "We ought to leave a light on" and similar lines such as "You are the one light". Can't do it alone? Do it with friends. This may also be a reason why Light, of the two, is far more focused on the Whole and the forming of it. Of cooperation, rather than internal discussion. They've made their decision To Be. Indeed, they will be "arriving alive and alight", because they're not just surviving, they've decided to live. But that's just a theory.... an Agent Theory...

I AM EATING BRICKS CHONNY OMFG edit: ok theory time :] alright, building off of my theory from the mind electric cover (i can and will provide full explanations to those who want them, just ask, i don't bite), this seems to be them arguing about fusion. night is more an introductory song, while light is more lore-filled. the only notable thing i can find currently in night is the line "what do you want?" from both heart and soul, the two of them seemingly joining forces to dunk on the mind. in light, everyone wanted to fuse (even though the minds a bit wary about it), but couldn't. their grievances were too many to fuse. mind still despised heart, heart felt weak because of mind, soul was done with both of them constantly fighting. it seems that either a future version of this guy or a past version (still fused) was communicating with them, telling them that he believed in them, and that they can fuse. they then believe they can fuse, and it bleeds into variations on a cloud. other notes: - mind rubbing his head like he has a headache and heart grasping his chest like he has a heartache is a nice detail - the whole being shrouded in darkness because its hard to grasp wholeness whilst being a system - the light switch noises on transitions between songs - theory about hearts blindfold: heart saw something awful, now he wears a blindfold as a coping mechanism so he can never see the awful thing again. - heart being unable to take off his blindfold because you never want to let go of maladaptive coping mechanisms, even if they actively make your life worse. - mind looking in expectation that heart will take off his blindfold, then at the floor in disappointment when he doesn't. edit: the blindfold seems to be a metaphor for willful ignorance instead, which would also fit with the themes of plurality, amnesia is a symptom of DID after all, maybe heart doesn't want to confront his trauma, which would make more sense than maladaptive coping mechanisms. cant wait for whatevers next, mr. jash :]
In past songs, like Greener and Mucka Blucka, Soul mentions trying to get Heart to see "blues and greens; the in-betweens." I like to think that his blindfold represents his inability to see them, and that it only comes off once he can
With the last song coming soon I just wanna say these are the damn best songs I’ve ever heard, I love the story, the lyrics, everything. I’m glad you’ve Taken the time to make all of this. For the love of god I am so happy that I found your channel, this has certainly been one hell of A Ride. And now I will stay up all night listening to this masterpiece
6:36 i imagine here heart gets pissed at souls threat of suicide, pushing him onto a chair in a dark room (like those interrogation scenes where it’s void everywhere but a spotlight on the chair) and then the pressure gets pushy on him, with heart and mind taking back control out of desperation and necessity, allowing them to see their errors (minds cruelty/emotionlessness and hearts despair, for lack of better terms) and then they formed the whole at the very end
Finding this makes me so happy, Light & night is one of my favorite tally hall songs and I always felt it was a little hidden gem compared to some more popular ones, so it’s so awesome to see something made from it of this magnitude!
Love the little details like how Heart is found rubbing the place over where his heart would be and Mind is doing the same for his head. So much passion put into these covers, its hard not to get addicted to the story
I can't fucking get enough of this. Okay mom said it’s my turn on the overly sappy and long RU-vid comment. So i found Jash here in early December through the mind electric and i basically changed my brain chemistry. Through listing to other covers it just kinda became my companion through a bit of a rocky month. It was a new experience, one that got even better when storm and a spring dropped (as that song got me into tally hall) It was a new take on songs I loved before that also just seemed to pick at my brain and emotions in just the right way. Not to get too cliche but I just felt heard. However, and here is the “fun” part, a couple days ago in the hospital. I won’t go into too much since a. TMI and b. this is just RU-vid comments but I am getting ahead of myself. I won’t lie, it has been a hell of a time trying to recover and relearn the basics again. The process is messy and complicated and has left me pretty rambled and divided. So imagine my luck when this drops. Am I maybe reading too much into the lyrics? Oh totally, but hey that’s half the fun. This song just kinda spoke to me, helped me look at what landed me here through a new point of view or least helped me grab up enough spite as a motivator to get up and going. An unexpected comfort but one I welcome with open arms none the less. I guess this is just my overly flowery way of saying Thank You. These songs have become such a big deal to me in such a short amount of time. I know this wasn’t your goal and this is the textbook definition of parasocial but still it means a lot to me. So count me along for whatever comes next be it more covers, original music, or just remixed whale sounds, I will just be excited to be along for wherever this ride goes. Hats off to you Chonny Jash and to whatever comes next!
i think the thing i, dislike AND like about this album. is that I KNOW these songs, they are familiar. yet they feel twisted, beyond my comprehension. its like returning to your house to see it completely different, but with the same furniture,
ayo Jash, when did you start to know the full story you want to tell? was is before or after the ruler of everything cover? i'm really interested in your lore
i was recommended this randomly, went back to listen through all your tally hall covers and god these are all wonderfully fantastic. you did an incredible job and we keep coming back to this just because of how much its gotten into our head. the whole "story" these all tell hits kinda close to home too. just, bravo all around. can't wait to catch the new releases as they come out.
I thought this was an originap peoce of yours, like some of your more recent stuff, and honestly despite hearing the original, it still feels that way (Like more than your others, idk hiw to describe it). I think it's how each makes me feel, the originals feels like a sense of calming energy coming over me, this is more intense and out there (in a good way). I'm glad i stumbled upon this rabbit hole of your stuff
My theory on the chronology Never Meant to Know (Possibly excluded) Greener Banana Man (Possibly excluded) [i have no idea where this goes help] Haiku Hidden in the Sand Ruler of Everything Just Apathy Bad Day (Possibly excluded) The Heart Acoustic Be Born The Mind Electric The Soul Eclectic Light Storm and a Spring Dream The Bidding Mucka Blucka Special Night Spring and a Storm (Possibly excluded) Variations on a cloud The Whole World and You We're Gonna Win Two Wuv (Taken for a ride?) Welcome to tally hall (definitely excluded)
Neat timeline! Interesting how far apart Light and Night are. Why do you think Bad Day might be excluded? And I'm with you on Banana Man. That song's my mortal enemy from a lore/chronology standpoint
I don't actually think it's excluded but the title scheme really throws me off night bugged me for a while, it might be way up; it's kinda hard to know since it borrows so much from the original the only thing I'm really adamant about is the TME 3parter - Light - SaaS order, everything else is pretty loose
i love the new direction from a video production standpoint, seeing the outdoor background is great when we're used to seeing these videos filmed in a dark room, lol and the music is great, of course! glad you're experimenting with the "multiple songs in one cover" thing from TME again
0:42 I wonder what's up with that number at his left shoulder? I could just be over analyising it, but it's kinda odd that it only appears for that one scene. Either way, the cinematography for this one is f u c k i n g phenomenal. The framing, the transitions, it's almost as good as the song itself! Which just speaks to how amazing the song is on it's own edit: I just realized the .11 is because he overlayed footage of an ultrasound scan on the line "Mothers only son". That is an amazing detail I completely missed the first time, holy fuck, this is such a good fucking song/video
The way that you expand on these songs dealing with multiple concepts/subjects by literally splitting it into multiple songs in one with completely different tones is incredible and unlike anything I've ever seen. Changing the meaning and tone of the song while still perfectly maintaining the original spirit is absolutely remarkable, and these songs have brought me so much joy. Happy to be Taken for a Ride with these jams.
I always love when these covers are released, this style is so interesting to listen to and I am glad I got to arrive pretty much as soon as this one came out.
8:47 jash you bastard i just came off of listening to the demo version of light & night and i can’t believe i didn’t mark the connection immediately. regardless, i love this cover (light is essentially its own song) with every fiber of my being. i love the instrumental swap after Soul says “let’s blur these lines” especially.
After finally wringing out all the dopamine from the mind electric song(s) (listening to it for 2 weeks straight) I can finally move on to other songs- ah fuck. I’ve already listened to this 4 times in a row I think I’m stuck here
i couldn't have found a more relatable comment even if my life depended on it. congratulations for summarising my behaviour for the past 5 months in one measly youtube comment.
since the ( [ and { represent Heart, Mind, and Soul, respectively, who is speaking during 9:16 "We ought to leave a light on... I want to see your" part? its not indented with any of the signs, is it Chonny as a person? Is it all three perfectly synchronized into one being?
Well Soul is chonny if I’m correct, the host, the vessel, etc, But only I think when they’re divided, without heart and mind its just chonny, the full person pretty much is how i think about it, so i think its like you said, harmonized, but in a full sense, as in they aren’t just singing together, but are together, Especially since we see them split again I think, after harmonizing
Someone said somewhere they interpret night as Old Chonny and Light as New Chonny, And I say it fits well, and explain why soul, presumably Chonny himself (or maybe not) is blacked out, like how their face wasn’t shown in the older videos, and less was known, And then in light soul is only half covered, showing progress and im assuming becoming more open, I edited this to add this section, I also wanna say that it also seems like Night is closer to when it started, Mind seems much more open in a way, They know they’re cold but they’re waiting to get out there and see the sun, In Light they’re cold but they say they can’t help but be, Also I think I have a theory for the color switch, Heart is Meant to be White normally, The Sun Well Mind is meant to be Black, the Moon, Heart mean to be warm and emotional, Mind meant to be cold and logical, Well they are, they’re filling the wrong roles due to their power struggle and being split, Like if Hearts depression forces Mind to take up the role of sun, and Heart the role of moon, forcing a flip, (I got all this from mind calling heart the lonely sun, so it is probably incredibly in accurate)
honestly a beautiful piece of art, i initially was too distracted by how good it sounds to notice the meaning of the lyrics but wow, actually listening to understand the lyrics gave me goosebumps. fantastic.
This is so good.. definitely feels like more than a sum of all the parts of this channel so far. I love it And I like this split between a traditional cover and your version!
Literally my favorite tally hall song,,, you kept the main piece I love so much intact while still adding your signature spin AND a whole other section! Seriously I cannot say how much I adore these covers
I think the line is referring to the idea that Mind and Heart only chose to stay alive in spite of the other and the fight against themselves is what has kept Chonny from dying
you see Soul throughout the video and lyrics. i think "tonight you've survived out of pity and spite" is Soul referencing the reason why he *doesn't* commit tridential regicide. as per Two Wuv, "And back then I was so sure only a noose could end that war, but out of [stubbornness or spite], my feet stayed on the floor."
God I keep coming back to this song. So glad I discovered you back in September. It’s a shock you don’t have more subscribers. Keep up the work Jash, I’ll be here every step on the way
This.. Was beutifull, it is beautiful, not just the song but the video itself, the song is amazing and his singing is godly. I loved and love and will love your music Chonhy, it's just some of my favorite and as a fan I'd like to extend my thanks for making amazing music!
