Brian thanks for the reviews and demos on the pocket spots. These videos REALLY helped me make a decision. I ordered 2 of these yesterday. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Brian, I had the Inno Spot 50 watt version and the SL2 setting with the contrasting movements for a real two head show was outstanding! You should give it another try!
Great video demo. Thanks. But is there any way you can get them in a bigger space? I mean, they do look awesome, but this is just your living room. How do they look in a bigger space like a gym or reception hall? If there is any way to get a video in that environment that would be fantastic!!
Great video thanks for sharing. I have the same setup as in your video and the master and SL2 is setup properly on each unit and I also selected SH 0 for the show, but I never saw my lights do a strobe effect like I saw in your video. They just change gobo's and light colors but never strobe. I'm I missing something? thanks in advance.
Gr8 vid B! Now for the ? Part. What's the track u used for this session that starts @ 4:30 and are there any big differences with using a brand name like ADJ and others made in China? Their all made in China I know but over all quality from any past exp u may have came across. Looking at 2 30W with a controller on eBay just now but not sure on quality and recommended light out put. Cheers 🍻
Great video Brian! How were u getting the remote to work in this video being that the ir is facing your ceiling and you were nowhere near the fixtures?
Hey Brian...just picked up 2 of these. On mine I am able to select SL2. What program do you have them set up on in the video SH0? and If i am following this correctly I just set the MASTER to MASTER and that's it and make all other changes on the slave unit?
Hi Brian watched alot of your videos all fantastic alot of great ideas I have two twin spots mounted upside down on truss and was wondering if you could do a video of the same but with the two single spots on the lighting stand same setup as this video, might just persuade me to buy the two singles. Thanks ;)
Hi great video!! I just ordered two and emailed ADJ Europe to ask them if horizontal mount can be done , but they have replied : This is not possible. The axis of the head can get bent by this mount side.
When u put the o clamp on that light pole, it seemed a little grippy, gummy. I got some o clamps today, they were hard and not grippy! They just slid right down to the safety peg
Hi brian great videos as always I'm about to invest in some moving heads, so I'm thinking of buying 4 of the inno pocket or 3 of the x-move led 25r for mid size events which one you would recomend? Thanks for everything you do on your videos.
Hi. I love your videos. So informative. Question do I need to put both lights on pan and tilt mode or just the master? Please let me know. Thanks again for the great videos.
Brian, I do have a question for you. I followed the steps you provided but when I started the show, the master light was on and the slave was not. The slave was moving with the master but no light. Any thoughts?
Brian, Can you use the Jr. Snap Clamps from Global Truss on tripods with these Inno Pocket Spots? If not, where can I get those O-Clamps you got on this video from? Who makes them? (Manufacturer?) Thx! Great Videos!
Great video...!!! I'm from Argentina and i trying to buy 2 of those on ebay but is complicated from my country. Wonderfull movingheads...!!! i see all your videos and tutorials...tank you.
Old post I know, but lo-fi method: check local dumps for eskis. They make them tough to protect beer so they are tough enough to protect your lights. You just have to figure out a way to secure the lid; gaffa tape perhaps?
Brian, I hope you are happy lol. This video made me purchase a pair outta impulse. I guess im glad in some ways but bank doesnt seem soo happy. Thanks for the video
PIcked up a pair of these last week from iDJnow. They were running a special for two spots, a rolling travel case, tripod with t-top, a 5' DMX cable and a couple of clamps for $600... I couldn't be happier. Really thinking about getting two more
great video.question: I have 2 pockets master /slave. when I set for show 1,2,3,4 they do vary greatly, they don't change color unless I do so with the remote. do I need dmx or is there a setting I need to do in the inno pocket itself? thanks!!
Hi.....!!! Greetings.....! I just bought a adj inno pocket spot scan but I have already 2 inno spot, the scan arrive next week between Wednesday and Thursday so I will have 2 pocket spot and 4 pocket scan, some advice about what configuration used? I will really appreciate your help thank you. Music Lighting Show.
I did all of that and nothing comes not even the lights. What am I doing wrong? Should I use a DMX controller? I have an Obey 10... please help me ASAP lol....
Thanks Brian This Video is Great. The Inno Spots are really Cool and stand on my Order-List.... Please go ahead for my insperation...and Nice Greetings from Germany near RAMSTEIN
what ADJ remote do I need to purchase to control these lights? Or does a remote come with them? I just purchased 2 of them and I don't think they come with a remote. Thanks in advance.
Hey so i placed mine upside down on a truss how do i make it to light up only the front of the dj stage and not the back is there a way i can do that ?? Please answer ??
I have always been able to get my lights to 'talk' to each other via standard XLR cables. Will these also work connected by XLR or are there too many functions to the point where you need actual DMX cables for these?
ive just bought a pair... there is 4 preset shows,, these are random, upwards, Foward and ??? 4th no idea,,lol so you can set to do your choice :) The trouble Ive found is the remote - seems a bit twitchy :( still learning though
I just ordered these babies. Now, Do they Come with the IR Remote? some say they do and others say it's Sold separately? since you have them, Do they Come with the remote? Thanks in Advance.
I have just bought a pair of these but find the manual not very informative, In the pan and tilt settings they mention -127 to +127 , what does this mean.
You can restrict their angle of movement in the horizontal and vertical planes (X and Y). Although with the 4 built-in shows for different applications and positioning you don't really need to change these settings.
Hello Brian, I have a question how bright are there these compared to the dj spot250 or even the inno spot? how about the beam angle? Thank you in advance.
Hard to say on brightness. The Inno Spot will be brighter with a 50 watt Cree LED source. The Inno Pocket spot has a 12 watt Cree (with a 12 degree beam angle) which makes it a lot brighter than a normal LED so It should be the same if not more intense than the DJ Spot. .
Hello thanks for your videos!! I have a question, when I have my two one on my right and on my left of my dj controller, the beams hit my eyes, I have them sitting up straight, how do I get them from hitting my eyes? And getting them going directly to the audience? Thanks in advance ! :)
Looks great, and i love the rigging idea but mounting them like this can put a lot on angular stress on the lower part of the pan motor, its fine for short term but i'd never long term mount them like this, this may void the warranty, even if the heads are lightweight :(
I don't think in this case there is anything to worry about. After talking to some people (who may or may not be associated with ADJ) and after seeing ADJ mount these this way at Mobile Beat and feeling the weight of the head itself, I'm very convinced this is cool. Otherwise I wouldn't have made a video on it
briansredd so you are changing the tilt and pan on master...on the video it seems like you are changing they slave?...also what show program is that in the video?
ADJ mounts them like that for shows, because they don't have to worry about them lasting a long time. Once the show is over they put those lights into their "B" stock sales (demos). Also, mounting them like that makes attaching a safety strap/harness almost worthless. But hey, it's your lights.
ok know im annoying on here but i have now two inno pocket spots and im wondering how to set them up like brian has here in the way of them changing colors and patters more often?? does any one have any ideas on this??
The manual specifically states to NEVER mount them this way. And with good reason - it puts excess strain on the motors and will eventually burn them out. Only the high-end tour-grade fixtures from the likes of Martin, Robe, and Clay Paky are designed to be mounted like this.
Any help please. I got 2 of them. 1 works fine but the other one only do the movements. it doesn't chance color or gobo. can there be a problem with the motors? thx
