We have two sussex hens and they have a sweet caracter..they "talk" a lot and love to follow me wherever i go. When i want them in the henhouse i just whistle and they come running. Don,t want another kind of breed anymore 😃
Hier ook deze ervaring,.ik heb drie dames. Twee witte en een grijze. Ze leggen iedere dag een flink ei, zijn erg aanhankelijk en de beste vriendinnen van mijn kinderen.
It's a beautiful sight I wondered do you keep them like this all the time. as a big breeding flock? Do the cockerels fight? Doe the hen choose their cockerel to stay with?
Hi, Marie. Did you know that we have moved (with the Light Sussex flock) up to Armstrong? But I come down to the coast every week during the hatching season and can bring you hatching eggs.
@@MarcosOliveira-fw9gv We are in Canada. We do not export birds or hatching eggs. Our website is www.truenorthfarm.ca - it is currently being updated, so many pages may not work right now, but it should be fully functional by Dec 1st.
Roosters are genetically half of your flock. If you keep just one rooster your effective population size is 2, and you are marching towards extinction. Two roosters will always fight and be poor breeders. Three roosters: alpha and beta fight and gamma does all the breeding... I always have 5+ roosters in a breeding group. And you are right, they get along nicely.
