If you had asked me twenty years ago whether a trailer for a film version of a rock opera based on Mega Man video games would give me chills, I would have told you "Yes absolutely I'm 11 that's the best also what is a rock opera"
"Stu? What are you doing?" "Building a motorcycle." "It's three AM. Why on earth are you building a motorcycle?" "Because I'm taking control of my life."
I can't believe this debuted over two years ago. I remember seeing this for the first time and getting chills. Now I get to see you live for the first time this summer. I'll probably have the same reaction. Thank you for what you have given us.
This was such a wild day of filming! So excited that it's being released SO SOON! Even more excited I'm in the trailer, wow!! One of the best experiences of my life.
I saw the trailer and just with the thought of a movie, all the hairs in my back and arms stood on end. I hope it actually can become a movie, with the music we all know and love as it's soundtrack. Yes I know it's a 16 minute short, thanks.
I can't even begin to tell you how bad I've wanted you guys to have a music video. Now if you could just play Danger Zone the next time you're in Philly, that would be badass!
Oh I can't wait this looks amazing!!!! I saw you once when I was in Wisconsin and I hope you one day make your way to New Mexico as your show was literally one of the best concerts I have ever been to!!!
They should team up with Corridor Digital if they want to do a full movie. That would be so swarfic. I just invented that last word cause awesome couldn't even describe it.
It's called "Here Comes the Arm", from the Protomen album "Act 2: The Father of Death". I would recommend buying the entire album, along with Act 1 and the two songs from Act 3 that have been released so far.
Climb. Climb to the top of the world, and as you stand tall, you will see that when you fall you will fall from a height most men will never reach... But you will fall.
Looks awesome! It has the energy of a live performance (where these guys excel). Looking forward to it, but if there's anything Protomen fans have learned, it's patience. Dr Wily isn't how I pictured him (seems like more of a suave big brother type than mad scientist).
Is this what i think it is? Are you making a film out of the act 1 and act 2 (and possibly act 3 albums). Because if you are then HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT!!!. I swear i've always imagined a film being made out of them. Seeing them brought to life is something i've wanted to see for years now, and if that's what is happening, then to say i'm excited is an understatement.
not a full length movie, just a short 16 min film covering light up the night and the fall. although a full length movie covering the whole story start to finish would be awesome!
+Dennis Davis Yeah I read a few other comments saying that. It's a shame it's that short, but seeing any of it brought to life for even half of that is still a dream come true. But hopefully it could inspire them to possibly create a feature length adaption of Act 1, Act 2 and possibly Act 3. I just adore the albums so much because of how brilliantly told the story is through each song. I swear every time I listen to the albums I visualise the story each time. So even though it's not feature length, yet at least. It's still love that it's finally being brought to life.
+Solarstar10 I do the exact same thing. I'm able to clearly visualize what's going on whenever I listen to the songs. Like, if I were to ever direct a music video for them, it would be really easy because I already have every last shot planned out in my head.
