Bobby Walker and I fire up our old McCulloch power saws. to see if they still; had it in them .. they did. the PRO MAC 6 was marketed as '' The lightest chain saw in the world''
I just picked up a 2.3 mac, waiting for a carb kit but it's almost spotless, it has an 18" inch bar, it was 32 us at one of the indoor flea markets, you and the walkers are a big inspiration for me looking for oldsaws
My 77 year old dad said the Power Mac 6 were used a lot for wood carving. He still has my Grandpa's, but that would be my mom's dad, not his dad! It's in our barn on a homemade shelf made from wooden pallets and cinder blocks. It would be the only thing I would have inherited from my Grandpa on my mom's side of the family! My dad's been thinking of getting it running again. The more I think about it, the more I can't believe how many saws my dad's got!
What a GREAT VIDEO !! 1 video with The Master Bobby, B.B.R.S, and Victorious in it, well their ya GO !!!. Peace to the B.B.R.S. Family and Mom. The Gunner.
I'd really like to see Buckin use a small saw (like eager beaver 2.0) to do some big work. Us 'weekend warriors' only use small saws but i've taken big american elm with my tiny 2.0 and would like to see Buckin tackle big stuff with an underpowered saw.
unless you never really used a Mcculloch, the torque is a cult following! I would take them over anything out there now. People now a days just want a saw giving to you perfection out of the box, a good Mcculloch requires someone above that! That`s why their still here and will be a icon forever.
When I was a teenager, I worked on two old McCulloch saws, one from the 70s and the other from the 80s time period. Both were tough saws. I also worked on a Pioneer/Partner saw with a 36" bar. Too bad they don't make them like they once did. I am glad the saws of today are lighter, quieter, and probably safer.
There's one fellow I have removed several trees for. He has a Partner saw half buried in his shed. Boy I would like to get my mits on that one! Just to check it out, see if it will start, see what chain they used, and all that.
It is insane how much more power you can get out of those things with the bigger exhaust alone. The damn intake is the next hold up you cant really overcome without chopping up the body...
hello. i m from Portugal and i love to know there are more people whit the same love for this machines like me. i have a mc 10-10s and is a special one hehe. husky stay in home. i há ve a question for you, what is the best set up in bar and chain for them? thx for the nices vids.

Buckin what do you think of the pro Max 610 I just picked one up for $6 I put some fresh gas in it she fired right up it was missing the dogs I made a set of dogs for it that's pretty good is that a decent saw I'm not really a McCall guy I runs stills
..these Pro Mac 6's, always seemed better built and ran better/more reliably than the Mini-Mac series..balanced better, and a bit easier to work on, too...but they are far less common to see than the Mini-Macs...
+Buckin' Billy Ray Smith ok just wondering never owned one of them old macs but they seem pretty great may have to keep a eye out at flea markets and yard sales now thanks for great videos
+Buckin' Billy Ray Smith you still need to find a Pro Mac 7-10 or Pro Mac 700 Billy Ray! Lol! Add to your McCulloch collection! Next month I am getting that Jonsereds 2166 paid for and will have to do a video of it against my 700! Billy Ray, check out this RU-vid channel for yourself, afleetcommand, it's a guy up in Central New York that's an engineer that lives on a farm and he's all into Husqvarna chainsaws! He claims that the Jonsereds 2166 is a red Husqvarna 372, the main difference is that the Jonsereds 2166 has a metal divider on the cylinder head that if you grind it out with a Dremel will make them the same as the 372. I know this guy knows what he's talking about. Check him out, afleetcommand.
