As she curled up in the rocky pool, watching his form receded up towards the lighthouse, she found herself wondering about him. Just exactly what she was wondering, she wasn’t sure. He’d been kind and careful towards her thus far, respecting her space as best he could, making sure she was fed and was healing properly… she was grateful of course but, also slightly confused. She wasn’t about to look a catfish in the mouth though, so she lay there and just, contemplated him. The possible ‘whys’ and ulterior motives swirling around in her head as she drifted off to sleep. She did smile slightly though, thinking maybe she might work of the courage to sing for him, just to sing… she hadn’t just sang something to sing it for a long long time.

The ending made me a little nervous for the lighthouse keeper, like are we going to lure you to your demise now that we're feeling better? I hope not! Anyone who treats you to a lobster dinner and rescues you when they first meet you should 100% get a free pass! Loved this audio good job Pingly!
That was definitely the intention with the audio, was supposed to give you the hint that something bad might have happened. But if I put out a part 2 I suppose we'll know for sure!
I really enjoyed this! I like to think that when they eventually part ways something will happen where the siren comes to the rescue of the lighthouse keeper, and they reconnect ❤ Also, the background art is beautiful!! 😍

Love the ocean sound effects, I find that they help me get lost in the story that you're creating and the siren song on the end was like the cherry on top! Wouldn't mind a part 2 of this if you get around to it, Ill be coming back to listen to this one again for sure!

when I was little I loved playing mermaids in the pool. I once got a chance with my whole girl scout troop to swim with tails. I was the fastest when we raced. yes, we were all like 11 but I'm still proud of that. Help me, I'm stuck :( siren version of wearing fishnet stockings you had a knife near my tail after I panicked about being stuck, of course I passed out my own personal rock pool :D I always loved playing in tide pools again, teeth in throat. Pingly, I never know if its flirting or attempted murder. I could tell you how you taste~ (probably like chicken. every meat 'tastes like chicken'. although humans are genetically similar to pigs. idk where I was going with this...) fish don't have ears and sound doesn't travel well underwater, it makes sense for singing to only be used on humans this was funny, I liked it :)
Hey I hit a ball to the fence in Teeball when I was like 6 and won the game for us. I'm still super proud of that so it's not weird to still have pride in accomplishments no matter how small someone else might see them. Hahaha! Fishnet stockings! I love it, that's amazing! I've always heard of people who actually eat human calling it Long Pig so I dunno, I suppose I always assumed it tasted closer to that. Thank you Rayvyn!
