it's not _just_ a shot over the mountains, the cinematography for this scene is just as good as the score, even if you don't know what you're looking for.
The best part of this is still the shot of the guy waving his little torch after the beacon of Nardol is lit. Like his hand held torch is going to signal all the way to Erelas lol
Haha I’ve thought this too. I honestly felt it was a very human reaction to *finally* be able to do his ONE AND SOLE JOB so he understandably was in pure ebullience!
A fact: When the beacons are lit, the common people of Gondor and Rohan are going to be worried as heck. But these men manning the beacons would probably be very happy to finally do what they've been waiting to do for since ages.
Love that you hear Howard Shore's Gondor theme when Boromir is talking to the council in "The Fellowship of the Ring". Shore was ahead of himself because, well he's a genius.
I always remember this scene... Was 19 years old... High AF sitting in the front rows because the theater was packed... The screen never looked bigger than that...
there's dialog sounds, so I'm confused how they did this. Did they remove the music track from the film so that only the dialog sounds played (so they could orchestrate over that)?
Yeah when you are mastering audio forTV/movies, you have different channels for specific things, like dialogue, SFX, music etc. they'll have just taken out the music
no me hagas acordar, yo estuve en amdrid. tan cavernicolas van a ser? por el amor de dios. Y los que se ofendan por este comentario, vayan a un concierto de rock
