First person fight was INSANE !!!!!!!

whole series shouldve been like this without mechs

finally, back to the ninja kamui we know and love.

Do you guys remember in episode 5 where Higan was fighting four mech suits (especially Lil, the short, perverted guy)? Well, I think that was the secret art that he was supposed to use it , but it was interrupted by some blades that came out of nowhere.

I think Zai has to be my favorite character in the show because he's completely unwilling to give up on what he sets his sights on and what he believes. I just have mad respect for the guy, especially after all he's been through.

We’re back to hand combat, this show has loads of potential, hopefully, we’ll get another season or 2!

I enjoyed the series, hope there will be a season two not enough original series on this level left. Good set of fights and surprising stand offs, I am not sure how Big D and the short pervert would have fought outside the Gosoku gear.

hand to hand combat is what drew me to this series so im glad to see it back over the CGI

Excellent work, art and storytelling are really doing well, camerawork and framing a plus

At the end they fought like old friend, more human rather than a killing machine. What an epic fight ❤

(Spoilers) Powerful story - masterful choreography, and a beautiful soundtrack. With Takashi Okazaki, creator of Afro Samurai at the helm creating character designs, and Sunghoo Park - director of Jujutsu Kaisen behind the lens of Ninja Kamui - a classic has been created. I deeply connect with the characters. I love the 00's vibe artwork which is expertly executed, tastefully familiar, yet a breath of fresh air on the other hand. The dynamic of the characters drew me in and made me feel something special. Mari, Emma, Zai - all of the engaging character dynamics, the plot twists & story unfolding simultaneously through flashbacks & current happenings earned my respect. To create high tech armor which connects to the user's subconscious mind this way is an original concept and perfectly ornaments this over the top shinobi world. Fusing both the use of technology with the secret arts rather than utilizing one more than the other was very necessary to overcome the dystopia & feels right given Higan's adaptability as a shinobi - which includes keeping undisclosed his knowledge of more than 1 secret art. Park is carving his name among the masters in anime creation. Beyond just the expert choreography, Ninja Kamui is a story about the power of love, multiple chances at redemption, transcending demons, forging the right way to live in peace, and disobeying false prophets preaching unsound concepts, which are juxtaposed with true codes of honor 🖊

Action is being directed by Sung-ho Park, same guy also worked on The God of Highschool and Jujutsu Kaisen season 1.

Good fight, but camera angle looks odd in some parts of the fight.

What you can see is that it is not the same director who directed episode 1. Probably the director of jujutsu kaisen is only on the story boards

As ridiculous as the fights are even without them, the absence of the LED iron man suits here had me taking this fight a lot more seriously.

Anime nowadays are not the same anymore.. instant gratification, I know it caters to younger audiences. But something missing like a formula… think Naruto, DBZ, OnePiece, and bleach. Story progression , character development, and growth/evolve/transformation.

Metal gear solid sneaking suit

There’s an impact frame at 1:01 that is stolen directly from One Piece ep 934, originally drawn by Katsumi Ishizuka. Absolutely baffling decision by the team, and not the first time this has happened, as the series has liberally used impact frames drawn by Kouji Fujimoto for JJK 0 (and in that case you could at least make the excuse it was from Park’s previous work, not that it makes it any better)

The most mid of mid anime I’ve ever watched. Episode 1 was incredible.. after that it was a steeeep cliff dive downhill. I’d rather watch 2016 cgi berserk than was season 2 of this. Had high hopes for this too. Oh and don’t get me started on the English voice acting! My dog has more emotions barking at a squirrel

The hand to hand combat scenes are beautiful & unique , & really enjoyed the “Justus “ I honestly don’t care for the mech suits …I think that’ll be the downfall of the series . Hopefully they move away from that.
