30 mins of thunder and lightning, as well as rain. Not the worst I have seen by far, but explains to some what I mean when I say our storms in the UK are lame. 2 mins an 10 in is a pretty epic FLASH/BANG !
Smart location to live in Florida!...my family been living in Davenport Florida for like 30yrs...they havent had bad experiences in this location of Fl...I love Davenport❤
This is one of the many reasons why I am going to retire there. Well, that and because the state im in ( California my entire life ) sucks donkey cocks.
Awesome storm my friend. I love storms always have as a kid. You can fall asleep with this playing in the background at night or even rain falling on a tin roof. Thanks for sharing. That thunder is nasty lol.
This was fantastic. I was over there with my family at that time. Not far from you, at a villa in Hampton Lakes Davenport. Thank you for sharing, brought back memories. :-) 👍
We took a vacation to Florida last year and it stormed like this or worse every afternoon. I have never seen lightning hit more things. Lightning is nothing to play around with in Florida.
Yup, we would see weather like this in the afternoons quite frequently too when staying out there in the summer. Amazing to see. Was once caught in a very bad one whilst outdoors in Tampa Won't forget that soon.
You should of been here when I first moved here back in the early-mid 90's! Every Summer afternoon at 3 P.M. it would storm like this or even worse for about 20-40 min with incredibly loud thunder and intense lightning. Nowadays, you only get this every so often in Central Florida. No idea why.
@CrazyWeatherDude Looks like southern Vermont and New Hampshire are leaning heavily towards these types of thunderstorms! I just got a loud T-storm today! It's wetter than average, much like 2011, as of July, 2021!
What possessed you to move to Utah? I lived there for 6 months back in the 80's and found that unless you are part of the Mormon church, you can plan on not having any job for too long. That state sucks bad or at least it did back then. I havent gone back and never will. I wouldn't spend the cash for a tank of gas.
Its weird, in California, we get semi-loud, but rumbly thunder, but in tropical climates, it seems to be either a quick quiet sound, or loud, snappy one x3
I use to go to Florida every summer on vacation. Here in Ireland we hardly ever get thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are nothing to play with in Florida. I was in a house many years ago that was struck by lightning. The airconditioning exploded and the house was set on fire. Ever since then I have never enjoyed thunderstorms. I have been to other parts of the US and even compared to places like new York City, I have never experienced thunderstorms like the ones in Florida. The Northeast US does not really experience many sea breeze thunderstorms like in Florida. Most thunderstorms in the northeast are associated with the passage of cold fronts or upper level disturbances and they tend to happen about once or twice a week. No other part of the US has sea brezes that move inland and collide from both coasts.
Had our first proper thunderstorm in belfast a week ago & it was the first actual storm that came right over the city without going to the south or the north in at least 10 years though I've only ever seen 1 what I would call a supercell storm & that was June 8th 2003 that huge motheship looking storm with different coloured lightning but no rain then heavy rain then another wave of huge hail ,that storm lasted almost 2 hours & I've never seen anything like it in ireland since .Truth is thunderstorms were frequent when I was younger & I've noticed through my late 20s & 30s they have been very rare & I'm 47 now & this was the first thunderstorm of any note in 10 years or more ,maybe climate change 🤔
That was quite an ordeal there in Florida wow. I have a brother that lives in Gulfport I haven't seen storms there he hasn't sent them to me anyway but anyway thanks for the video. Miss Susie loving in Oregon

Starting from about 6 minutes in, I see some orangey light flaring up right next behind the big tree on the left. I hope that wasn't a fire, somewhere in the distance?
Nathalie Verbeken well spotted. Can honestly say I have never noticed that before. But don't recall there being a fire. There are a few streets behind that row of houses though.
Perhaps it was a street lamp? I have to say, Florida has some fierce thunderstorms. We seldom have such severe lightning storms up here in Belgium, though last year, I did experience a supercell moving over my town and causing a fair bit of damage. I suppose we'll be seeing more extreme weather in the years to come. Keep up the great vids! :)
Thank you for this video & special thanks to your microphone work on capturing that loud slam of thunder at 2:09 😁 Give your microphone a pat for me 😆 The audio quality was excellent 👍 Edit : It seems that you're using a smartphone because the way the camera is trying to retain the focus is similar to a smartphone.
@@MichaelSnasdell My pleasure & what a coincidence - i used to operate Xperia Z3+ but it's screen got broken 😥 Also - i have some thunderstorms videos recorded with Sony Cameras :)
@@MichaelSnasdell Alright - i'm happy to find another true thunderstorm enthusiast like me X) But take my advice : 1- Use a camcorder ( Video Camera ) at least try to get Sony Handycam CX240 HD that one has an excellent built in microphone and it is a budget friendly camera with the ability to record a progressive 50FPS Full HD videos - especially if you have at least 128GB micro SD card which is enough to record over 10 hours continuesly if you plugged a 15000 Mah USB charging power bank battery or you can just simply use any power supply plug with a USB slot for recharging your camera continuesly :) 2- remember to get any budget friendly tripod for best stability :)
2:09 = Hi friends this is my loudest and scariest voice. Listen to it. 22:55 = I repeated it for those who thought that my first boom was fake and for granted. Best and loudest thunderstorm. Got scared. Florida is rich in thunderstorm ⛈️😨.
+Foxyy AJ oh no, I can handle anything but losing the internet is horrible (first world problems) That's the downside of mother nature I guess. Puts on a great show but sometimes charges a lot to spectators.
@@MichaelSnasdell there's a guy down there in florida I think he down palmbeach area and he has two channels / let's go diecast picking & ghostjerker channel & when he is showing what he has bought he puts them on a table beside his pool in his conservatory just the same as yours & lots of the time there's storms in full swing outside but this time there's a large lake at the back of his home and he's showing some hotwheels cars and this huge lightning bolt comes down right at the edge of the lake and jumps to his shed next to the lake and the sound was unbelievable and as his camera was facing the lake he was able to play it back in slow motion & it was a huge bolt .
Me too, but we've avoid closer and closer the thunder bolt, especially 2:08 and 22:55, like the fireworks sound, actually I worried about the thunder strike into my body.😂
