Huge improvement! Thanks! I frequently use Color Range masks and Color Mixer in LrC but forget to use Calibration. A video talking about how you look at an image and decide which tool you want to use in which situation would be very helpful, Jim. You must be very pumped about Color Masking coming to Luminar Neo this fall.

thanks and I can look into that, and yes super glad to have color masking in Luminar, can't wait to try it!

Quite a change and improvement to the image Jim. I've never used colour range masks as not aware of it's use. So I would like to see a further video on these and the calibration function.

Great tutorial Jim! Good to see ya make one pertinent to my workflow in Lr. The masking tools in Lr, LrC, and ACR are, in my opinion, the best you can get!

aye, the calibration tab. Rarely do I not touch the hue of blue and green channels to make the photo more teal&orange ;)

haha yeah that's a good one, I have a video using that coming later this week too

I meant that even minute adjustments with blue channel at negative hue and green at positive give good results for almost every photo, decreasing those creeping yellowy greens. Or am I just an addict? ;)

Outstanding edit Jim. How on earth did you manage to do a photo shoot at that location with no soul in sight?

thank you and I got there at about 7am on a Sunday so it was empty, which was my plan and luckily it worked out

Hi, Jim. Any reason you did not try point color on the first two masks rather than temp/tint?
@JimNix
@JimNix 4 дня назад
Thanks and no real reason other than just showing how certain tools work. But yeah point color is definitely useful and amazing, and I use it a lot.

Hi Jim; Really like this tutorial, thanks! Although my 130,000 photos are still in the Adobe Photo system, I have been doing almost all my current edits in ON1, because LrC 13.3 and 13.4 were horrible. Now I'm on 13.5 and everything seems fixed but the performance is horrible. What's your experience been with LrC lately?
@JimNix
@JimNix 7 дней назад
Hi Marc and LR has worked totally fine for me, forever basically. I don't have performance problems with it, other than the once in a while hang up like in any app. But overall I would rate it as quite good.
@sounderdavis5446
@sounderdavis5446 7 дней назад
@Marc. Not seeing that performance hit here. Adobe insists the number of images in the catalog is not a factor and many agree. Are you feeling this slowness in editing, exporting, or doing what? Does your video card have at least 4 GB of GPU RAM (Adobe's current recommendation)? How many GB of RAM on the motherboard? Which CPU?
@JimNix
@JimNix 7 дней назад
@@sounderdavis5446 good point about the number of images. I have 250k or something and no issues.
