Thanks, Anthony! By the way, the Preview or any other program, like IrfanView show the un-edited file because they do not have the "develop module" inside. This module is pretty complicated and included only in the RAW processors as LR or ACR. Further, Capture One might use the edits but differently, since the its "developing" is different from Adobe's. So despite the fact the edit info inside DNG the program should be "clever enough" to use it
Hi Anthony I use DNG files (downloaded from cameras as default) . Windows Photo Gallery and Windows Photo Viewer both recognise the embedded raw instruction settings. Using DNG files ensures continuity over the years and the use of various cameras (mostly Canon). I have followed most of your tutorias and tips, HUGE THANKS and regards from South Africa
Hi Anthony, like usual you give some very good trick ! thanks very much. Today I have a question hoping you'll have an easy answer... ;-D I'm looking for the best (easy) way to share my edited raw files between my desktop and laptop when I'm working in Lightroom. I need to be able to work on the same file (not at the same time) into Lightroom, on my desktop or my laptop. should I just copy my catalog between my 2 computers ? or "export" the files like you said ? if yes, do I need to export ( and import ) just one file at a time or is there some "batch process" possible ? Thank you !!
Another post with a few great tips. Could you please share the camera, lens and light settings for your desktop image...the one with your cat. Its just too good.
