Not gonna lie I got emotionally attached to my Tahoe with 250,000 miles and fully restored it using OEM parts. It looks and runs like brand new. Probably a big waste of money but I’m still very happy with it 👍

I regret selling my 2004 tahoe to buy a 2015 WK2. First vehicle i ever worked on by myself and fixed by myself. I miss it, especially after seeing the new owner abuse it and hydrolock the engine by driving through flood waters with a cold air intake

Looks great! I think if you leveled it, removed side steps, all gray plastic and replaced with new black plastic such as rear bumper plastic and front lower valence it would be just right!

I loved my headlights on my 2000 Silverado. Those pins made things super easy. My 2013 required moving the grille and everything just to change a bulb, let alone replacing the entire light.

Well done... you modernized the look without using a bunch of fake stuff from Autozone and going crazy with plastidip. Hope the headlights hold up... the wheels look great, and leveling will help a lot. You could always go with leveling shocks (like Rancho quickifts) which do a great job and prevent having to use pucks.

Transfer tape is the easiest way to get the logo aligned. You can find it at Joann fabrics and there is even a dollar store alternative to it as well but it’s not full see through at the dollar store but it works the same.

I did most of what you did to my Z71 burban! I recommend painting the bottom plastic that's grayish along with the side steps etc black. It makes it look cleaner and sharper imo. Matches the window tint etc better. Love the truck!!

I think the mods did you are very tasteful excellent! Since you switched from gold to black I think all the gray trim you have on the bumpers and door handles and side mirrors painted black would make everything really pop ! And look much more modern! And really bad assss!

The problem with aftermarket LED lights is that the brightness difference between the running lights and brake lights is not that much, so it's super hard to tell that someone is braking. Also, amber turn signals are much safer, as there's no ambiguity as to weather it's a turn signal or just a bake light.

The headlights and turns have butyl. So they're sealed. Also silicone is the worse thing to use if there is a opening. A good storm and you'll be opening then to drain them. Also leds in a reflector housings for headlights is the worse thing to do, go get some 9011 and 9012 halogen bulbs. 100x brighter then those amazon leds Or just retro fit some led projectors if you want leds.

I call it updating and upgrading. You'd be surprised how you can fall in love with your vehicle all over again if you tastefully mod it a bit. I'm doing exactly what you did to your rig with my '03 Black Durango. When I'm done it's gonna look bad ass. Rig looks great bro. Good job!

If I could make a suggestion, you might consider picking up some black ColorBond or similar paint/dye to turn the gray plastic rocker and bumper trim black too... I think it would really tie everything together and make the trim look less worn.

My 08 truck is looking a bit tired. A good way to bring it back. Might have to do the same. Polished up the headlights the other day and it made a big difference. Might U-pol raptor line the bed and hail damaged bed caps to give it a cleaner look. Maybe even update the stock radio as you did with something a bit more modern this year.

I've got a 2003 and these suckers are bulletproof! Don't molest it, but simply update the headlights and maybe a hood bug deflector but keep it original! They'll go forever! Merry Christmas 🎄

Looks good. I painted my tow hooks red. Really pops ! Repainted my grill emblem gold and several coats of clear. Painted all other bow tie emblems red. Installed Escalade rims.

I call my goldarr..mine is the pewter beige. I did black for accent color black wheels tail lights tint etc. ordering new tail light and headlight housings. Got all the lighting inside and out converted to led. Then I just have the lowering springs and catback exhaust with headers to get and I’m done.

Matt! Your passenger side LED low beam bulb is not seated correctly! The LED chips should be exactly at the 3:00 and 9:00 positions, but instead they are more at the 2:00 and 7:00 positions. This will result in a shitty beam pattern and glare to oncoming drivers. You should be able to adjust the chips to be in the correct location, then your lights will be great! Don't forget to aim your headlights too, that way the light is on the road where it belongs, and not in the eyes of other drivers haha. Also you should get some LED drop in bulbs for the DRL and turn signal. All you'll need is resistors for the turn signals.

I have the same Tahoe 06 z71 4x4 but you can put the leds into the headlights. I believe it’s a 6mm and remove the couple bolts holding the plastic piece in and put the bulb in and screw it back together. Took me less than 5 mins

There’s RU-vid videos of it that’s how I found out and did mine. Very easy to do, but the 880 bulbs for a fog lights I’m the same way I can’t get the cooling fan through. So I ordered led pods to put in them

You should keep the Eyebrow, paint the bumpers black or restore them. Also a leveling kit and a bull bar. It Already looks awesome, but if you add those few things it will transform the Tahoe again.

i had put leds in my suburban, and all i did for the bulbs, because they were just a lil too long, i pulled the mount off i also got the led brights, and they are awesome for people that cut you off, and even during the day

Bro...just a simple changing of the taillights completely changed/improved the SUVs appearance. A lot of times, people do aftermarket stuff to their vehicles and it just looks stupid. You clearly were careful with your choices because in my opinion...you REALLY upgraded the looks of this SUV. Only thing I would suggest is maybe consider black wheels.

New to your channel. Just watched the entire video. I have an 07 Tahoe. Also running 305 tires on stock rims. Love them! Only two things I’d also do to yours if it were mine would be to match the two front side window tint with the rear, and I’d add a stainless exhaust tip on it, and maybe adjust the angle to shoot more towards the back end. I did this to my 07 and get lots of compliments on it! Looks great though! Also, I’ve learned fishing line works a lot better than floss! :)

My 05 is white and I’ve done the front grille bow tie black and smoked fog light housings. I want bigger wheels and new badges as well. Mine is only an LT but blacked out on white is boss.

NIce upgrade, BUT... those panel gaps between your grille and the front lights are HUGE! Did they come from the factory that messed up? You could rent those gaps out as rooms to MICE and collect a second income, they're that big.

I've got the same truck why don't you get some 2 and 1/2 inch lift hammers for the torsion bars and some lift blocks for the springs in the back, don't forget to spray undercoating or wax inside your rocker panels and underneath your truck or it's going to rot and real fast!

Quick heads up. My 05 Suburban cruise control no worky with LED brake lights. Turns out to be 05 06 GM SUV's uses computer for cruise and it uses brake light circuit for control functions. either use std bulb or add resistor so computer registers it.

How are the headlights holding up? Better than stock at night? Have aftermarket headlights in mine for the past 2 years, just noticed today that parking lights are drawing moisture so probably going to be replacing all of the lights. Mine are tinted and suck at night even with LEDs.

Hey man have you redone any of the interior lights? I’m fixing up a 2005 GMC Yukon for when he turns 16. I also want to do a lot of LED lights but a mechanic told me I might have to put something in the car so it doesn’t blow the lights or something? I have no clue
