whats lowkey creepy is im 24 and havent looked her up since i was 12, but youtube says ive watched this video the second i happened to search her tonight. how far back does their fucking backlog go????
Ugh, this brings me back to the chilly autumn nights in 2011, back home in Canada. I would walk home from volleyball practice, listening to this on my iPod touch. Then winter rolled around and snow blanketed the ground- and I would just walk around town listening to the Siberia album. I was only 16 at the time, but felt so connected to this music. Omg I miss those days so much
Man oh man, minus the volleyball part, this had me wondering who was spying on me back then and passing off my life and times as their own! 😂 Minus the volleyball part, I can say 100% same. What a time and what a sound to go with it.
I share the feeling. I dont have any words for it. Me and my friends journeying around in the cold, from place to place just to move around and feel alive. It was so good. We had no idea how good it really was, we really really didnt. We werent supposed to, because now those memories keep us going
I was 9 in the winter of 2011. Younger, but those similar feelings of chilling to music with my CD player are memories that I will always hold close. I miss the early 2010s, and this song screams that time period.
Very similar here - I was 18 just out of high school, moved halfway across the states to work in North Dakota oil fields and found this on a radio station out there in 2011 haha Very cold for months on end
There’s something about listening to this song that makes me feel “uplifted” or has a majestic/heavenly feel to it. I love Lights. Still listening all these years later. Nostalgia at its best!
In the last few months, I’ve been putting a focus on music from my childhood. A lot of it is still waiting to be found, but I’m glad that one of the most important songs has been found now.
I would like to take a second and thank Lights for her music... Being an infantryman and being in one of the most hostile places in Afghanistan has taken it's tole and getting the chance listening to her music during the day, or whenever i might have a few minutes off, is the highlight of my day... thank you Lights your music has helped me thru this deployment and some of the messed up things that have happened out here.. once again thank you!
I've moved on from this kind of music but I still have some of her old songs on my phone and Ice randomly popped up and I'm like 'Hmm...let's see how Lights is doing'. I'm so glad I've found her again
Sanjana Ramesh this happens to me every year, i was always wonder how she’s doing and her songs give me the biggest and best memories when i was younger, i don’t listen to her like i used to but i still have her songs downloaded
Wow I’m watching this like lights was 23 here. I’m 23 now and have done nothing with my life. At least she’s been an inspiration for me to keep trying to achieve something great haha
Lol I'm 25 now and I'm counting back the days and stuff and I'm having a serious lite check moment here lol hope we get somewhere meaningful when we're in our 30s
I will *always* enjoy listening to her!... A few of her albums are some of my all-time favorite female pop albums! (especially "Little Machines")... And she also has a new album out as of this past Friday, (9-22-17)... Must get!
revisited this song 10 years later and realized i live in the same neighbourhood this was filmed in. i recognized that subway station in a heartbeat LMAO
oh lights, how much i love you! still remember like it’s yesterday when i first found her back in 2010 with her songs “february air” and “second go” one of the most talented artists ever!!
Took me years to get back to you, thank God I remembered my RU-vid stuff and found my middle school Playlist. 2 kids and a complete different life later, I found you ❤
8 years, that's crazy. this brings me back so much, and hard to believe I'm still listening to her day 💖 her music was amazing before, and is still amazing today!
Well still my favourite uplifters 💕🍃❤️💕 whenever I'll listen this, I'll remember the winter ❄️ of 2011. Sometimes I got refreshed with this track.🍁❄️🌨️☃️🏔️🏔️
There's something about her eyes that remind me of someone that was actually much more special then I ever made aware.special people deserve a special life.
I've been following Lights and her music since about 2007/2008 and about a decade later she still holds up. Seems to get better with each listen! I wish the vlogs would come back though!
Relle Painite, She is a Christian and she is also married to the lead singer of Blessthefall, also a professing Christian. My daughter is in love with her and she looks just like her, but she's married, too.
Because she's Canadian. And we Canadians mainly only heard this song played on the radio due to CanCon laws (look it up), and we naturally have disdain for anyone getting played that often due to CanCon. 😝
