I was under the impression that the person walking at 1:25 might be Zurg, just slightly different from his toy story depiction? Then again it might just be because of the purple light

@@rowandaly2826 yeah because if you look at the robots alongside him, they resemble the ones in the opening of toy story 2 but with legs. so you might be right, its zurg just slightly different to his movie depiction

@@rowandaly2826 I think that may be Buzz, but i think that Zurg is behind the door that opens slowly in the next frame.

Im pretty sure its gonna end up being Zurg, mostly because when Buzz is walking towards the door between the lines of robots, those robots resemble the ones at the beginning of Toy Story 2. Plus if there was a real Buzz, which got a toy adaptation, it would be likely theres a real Zurg that the toys are based off but idk how yet

I like that he isn't quite the same. You can tell the toy was based off him, but this is different enough that this buzz will be his own character, instead of a knockoff. I'm excited

@@KyleMcDoogle Prepare for a long read. I think the trailer just took the concept in a different direction than I was hoping for, or something like that, I don’t really know. I didn’t really have any expectations for this movie but the trailer disappointed me a bit anyway. For a movie that’s supposed to be about the real Buzz Lightyear that the toy from the toy story movies is based on I just think that it maybe looks like it’s too realistic and too different from the toy version. Buzz while he looks similar to his toy story toy counterpart still just seems too different and so I’m a bit worried about the rest of things. How are they going to adapt Emperor Zurg? Or those little green aliens? Will Zurgs fortress and minions look the same as they did in Toy Story 2? Buzz looks a bit different and more realistic but then Zurg, his minions, and those little green aliens they aren’t realistic at all, so if this movie is going for a slight hint of realism then will they look completely different? If so then how did the toy versions of them end up being different? Also why does toy Buzz look different from real Buzz? Obviously the toy version from the toy story movies isn’t going to completely match up as the fictional toy company probably works just like real toy company’s do and changed some things up a bit and added stuff but it still just seems too different. I’m not expecting the blue utility belt from Toy Story 2 to be in the movie or for Buzz’s ship to look the same but I expect some things. Why does the videogame version of Buzz from Toy Story 2 look like his toy counterpart and not his movie counterpart? And where does that one Buzz Lightyear cartoon (Buzz Lightyear of Star Command) fit into all this? Is it just like the Lightyear movie where it too is a fictional thing in the Toy Story universe? Like a spin off or something? Or is it something else? It being fictional would make the most sense as it could help explain why Buzz looks a bit different or something but I know we’ll probably never get an answer about it. The reason I’m probably nervous and a bit disappointed with this and all that is because I probably overthought this whole thing and am making it a bigger deal than it needs to be or something like that but, well IDK. Man this is a long comment.

@@davidluong8370 I think the general understanding is that this movie is supposed to be what created the in universe franchise that gave rise to the toys of buzz lightyear in Toy Story. (Apologies if I explained that poorly)

It’s probably a reboot of the original franchise within the TS universe.

Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story movies is a toy of an action hero from an in universe movie, this is the movie that the toy version from the Toy Story movies is based on.
