La ligne B est une ligne du métro de Lyon en France qui relie Charpennes - Charles Hernu et Saint-Genis-Laval - Hôpital Lyon Sud. Il a été construit selon la méthode du cut-and-cover et est entré en service le 2 mai 1978. Avec la ligne A, elle fut l'une des lignes inaugurales du métro de Lyon.
Line B is a line on the Lyon Metro in France that runs between Charpennes-Charles Hernu and Saint-Genis-Laval-Hôpital Lyon Sud. It was constructed using the cut-and-cover method, and went into service on 2 May 1978. Together with Line A, it was one of the inaugural lines of the Lyon Metro.
La ligne B du métro de Lyon est une ligne du réseau métropolitain de Lyon. Cette deuxième ligne, dont le premier tronçon a été ouvert en 1978, relie aujourd'hui la station Charpennes - Charles Hernu à Villeurbanne, au nord, à la station Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud, au sud.
Line B of the Lyon metro is a line in the Lyon metropolitan network. This second line, the first section of which was opened in 1978, today connects the Charpennes - Charles Hernu station in Villeurbanne, to the north, to the Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud station, to the south.
Avec une longueur de 10,1 km, il s'agit de la deuxième plus longue ligne de métro du réseau derrière la ligne D et devant la ligne A. Une extension au sud-ouest de 2,4 km2 avec deux nouvelles stations a été inaugurée le 20 octobre 2023. Conçue comme une antenne de la ligne A, elle a pris son identité lors de ses quatre prolongements. Il s'agit d'un métro sur pneumatiques à conduite automatique.
With a length of 10.1 km, it is the second longest metro line in the network behind line D and ahead of line A. A southwest extension of 2.4 km2 with two new stations was inaugurated on October 20, 2023. Designed as an antenna of line A, it took on its identity during its four extensions. It is a self-driving tire metro.
