i doubt this is the last realtime combat game, there's still the judgment series and RGG knows the core fanbase loves action combat enough to at least support smaller releases like gaiden or larger spinoffs like judgment

i don't think its that. i think its the fact that shishido almost sliced one of kiryu's arms off. he was constantly getting close to killing kiryu compared to aizawa who was beating up kiryu but unfortunately was a single punch away. not to mention the fact that majima and saejima both couldn't beat down shishido even though he had a blade in his hand. it makes me believe that shishido might be more powerful than kiryu, but he just got really lucky.

@@Sockren Before Shishido, Saejima was Kiryu's equal, but after this game, Shishido is easly the most op yakuza in the entire franchise, easly on par with Kiryu.

Saddly, I did not! However, I'm not regretting not dragging it. Im regretting it because I did Essence of the Dragon God on Shishido, which DESTROYED him, but I did not synch the music😭😭😭

Well he knew too much. If they let him live and he goes after the orphan kids Joryu would never obey the Daidoji no matter what. They already knew what would happen if the kids were threatened.

Can't say that I pity him, if only he went along with Kiryu and Watase he still had a chance to live a free life and probably working as freelance muscle had he put aside his pride as yakuza.

@@evantambolang3052 No. Just, no. The whole point of Shishido is that he represents exactly those yakuzas both Daigo and Watase know couldn't be saved. They're just too balls deep in the game to ever return to the civilian life. Look at Shishido, with all the scars in his face, tatoos all the way to his wrists, there was zero chance in the world for him to be acepted in civilian life. In real life, most ex-yakuza aren't able to get jobs and are excluded from society, not to mention how mentaly deranged they are from their experiences. Even in Yakuza 3, Kashiwagi had a group dedicated to help ex-yakuza to integrate to the civilian world, but even then, it wasn't enough for a lot of them.

@@hidan407I don’t think he would’ve killed them, he just caught them off guard and they underestimated him. If Kiryu was able to beat Shishido then Majima and Saejima should be able to as well. Especially if it’s both of them.

@@hidan407 To be fair, they did just have to fight like, a entire room of Omi beforehand, and Saejima was basically saying that they were pretty tired, so they weren't really at 100% when they were trying to pressure Shishido. It's still really impressive regardless though, Shishido's a genuinely intimidating guy to be able to do that even to a tired Majima and Saejima. Plus, he was going toe to toe with Kiryu for a while, even if he lost. Guy has tenacity and endurance for days.

Crying is healthy when done for good reason. People who cry at the slightest inconvenience are weak. In my eyes, your tears are sacred. They have meaning. Shed them for what's important to you. Not for spilled milk.

That whole scene was so heart wrenching in its subtle way. Majima begging Kiryu to stay, Daigo having a quick grasp on the situation and his sad acceptance of it, their quick father-to-son exchange, the fact that Kiryu can't even look at them. And then I remembered that the ugly crying scene has not happened yet so I buckled up... :')

Majima knows what it's like to have to pretend to be someone else to protect the people he loves, no wonder he knew what Kiryu was up to at that moment

im on a mix of thinking its either nakajima (the guy running the taxi business and employed kiryu) or morinaga. the reason i say nakajima is not only does he look similar to him, but he also knew taichi suzuki was an alias from the start. not to mention it could also add some other reasons to why he has such a bond with kiryu and hesitated killing him. morinaga makes more sense but its cool to make theories

Well, hate to be the guy, but all major boss fights will have the old Yakuza font, as well as all character introductions. That said, it's really a very good attention to detail even with the tight deadline of the production

It was disappointing that they didn't keep the original Japanese writings for character introductions while translations are provided as subtitles in current English versions.

It wasn't evil. Kiryu thanked him and said he appreciated it and I'm glad Kiryu got an update as to how the kids are doing rather than being in the dark about everything, I'm happy he's seeing his grandson growing up, he really deserves it after everything

They can't kill him man 😭 I really really hope he gets to retire for good and live with his family while he watches Haruto grow up please RGG 🙏😭

Except that the fight feels unfair too, that guy is tall and buffed as F and he has a katana! this is by far the most epic Yakuza final boss

It's really sad that aside from Yakuza: ishin, Aizawa gets so little attention despite being such a loved underdog by fans

This. The whole time you can see there's apart of Watse that's proud to see his men fighting for their dreams. He and Daigo are dissolving the yakuza to help the men but they still respect their willingness to fight.

He stalled Saejima, perhaps the only character surpassing Kiryu in raw power, with the guard of a sword THAT HE ISNT EVEN USED TO (He picked Nishitani's sword.) Oh yea, he also shrugs off a kick by Kiryu and doesnt even keel over despite his injuries. Then uh, cue the boss fight. Countless falls Shishido took, but he soldiered on. Went through glass multiple times, no care given. Still has the stamina to wield his blade and punch despite the hand injury. The brawl was basically a room tour of Omi HQ, that s how durable he was I rest my case.

It'd be cool if Ichiban eventually got an ability like Dragon's Resurgence later in the game like what Kiryu has, maybe call it Hero's Ascension or something to keep with the theme.

In some capacity it was probably deserved for guys like Shishido and Nishitani III. They’re probably being brainwashed in some Daidoji facility right now.

But he will feel like a caged animal in a zoo. The Daidoji are rather insidious and cruel for an intelligence agency but then again, they are more of a deep state organisation

That’s what he thought would happen, but I guess he didn’t anticipate the Daidoji deciding to seize the opportunity.

I doubt daidouji can tame those two no weaknesses unlike kiryu shishido went through torture no government could hope to match and nishtani if he honors the name will never submit hell they both rather die and probably will or they bust out since no daidouji agents could possibly hold them hell they couldn’t hold kiryu without the kids
