My god English version of Judgement is just awful They didn't take feedback from the demo that autotune was bad for this song (really people need to stop using autotune)
It's such a shame, because for starters: the translation team did a good job- and have gotten better in terms of the Karaoke songs. And secondly, some of the English VA's have decent singing voices (mainly Robbie Daymons Zhao) but the autotune makes them sound horrendous.
I actually dont think yongs that bad its just that god awful Auto tune. (Hell his sayonara silent night was pretty good in gaiden). Not to mention did hell stew always sound like that in english? Not a fan of the overly deep voices
The English localization was probably pretty rushed. When you considered how fast they pump these games out. Plus singing ability probably wasn’t a priority in casting
To be honest, the English version is going to sound off for most people. The english voice alone does not fit with his image and this goes to the singing voice as well. It sounds and feels like the english version for game itself for Kazuma at least is rushed at the last second, in the end. It is a game that will not sound right when it is not in their native language the songs are in the same situation if you look at the lyrics through the english language.
