Daigo calling out Kiryu was such a good moment, their whole relationship is really underlooked. That being said I do hope we get a Gaiden for Daigo alone because he's the one character which never got much exposure and can easily be fleshed out among the 3 of these characters, somewhere between the end of 6 to early 8 would be a great room to cover his story. Please RGG...

This might get long and I apologize This game really made me appreciate Daigo as a character, He’s kind of a tragic character in a way since he took the chairman position out of respect for Kiryu but he ended up being seen as someone who got it out of nepotism from a former chairman instead of earning it through his own merits. This leads to schemes in the clan and Kiryu doesn’t do much to help out other than ask Majima to be muscle in 3. This fight feels like pent up frustration for Kiryu’s inaction in previous events. I love that this game highlights that even though Kiryu is great and awesome, he still makes mistakes like the rest of us and that makes his character really stand out for me.

14:26 if you pause here. You can see the bromance between majima and his beloved Kiryu-Chan… or you know you can accept the fact that Majima out here tryna break Kiryu’s neck like hundreds of time.

Man, the fact that you showcased everyone's highlights while brawling with Kiryu... It really brought me back to some before-forgotten points in the series, this game truly is the highlight of Kiryu's saga.

Honestly, if this is boss tier list video. I would put this at S tier easily. Plus the music is great too.

This is my favorite part of the entire game for sure. I just remember how emotional it made me. It was so thrilling I wish I can relieve it the exact way.

The dynamic qte in the middle of the fight was awesome as well as the special ones at the end. Loved seeing the party members show up and fight in the sequence.

Pretty much everything about this fight is memorable. Kiryu calling out the three of them, knowing full well it would goad them into retaliating and giving him possibly the last fight he will ever have with them but even in his hypocrisy regarding it, he was still right as well. The Ijincho gang being there for him when he was getting to his breaking point, the Dragon's Resurgence with all 3 of them to finish them off and then even that final cutscene when Kiryu fully resolves to go through with his decision. Its all very impactful.

Thank you for taking your time to appreciate Kiryu's memories of each Jima, although I would've preferred to leave Daigo at the end lol.

Holy shit this is probably the best single fight in the series. Only other fight that could content imo is someya in y6. Anyway for what I love. DAIGO AND MAJIMA ACTUALLY CALLING OUT KIRYU. How hypocritical it is coming from kiryu of all people who made daigo 6th chairman to get rid of his guilt and then fucked off to an orphanage. Or the many other times he abandoned everyone and avoided true responsibility because he thinks itll help everyone. And now on the verge of death he decides to criticize them for doing that. Ofc kiryu is right here but its holloe coming from him. I LOVE THAT. Unlike many other fights with these guys this is serious and personal. I fucking love that. Its genuine righteous frustration. Now the fight itself is beautiful. The cold barron decaying houses really adds to the finality of this fight. Its so good. And the snow during this fight is also just beautiful. The actual fight is also well balanced and i like the detail of them being able to knock party members into another jima. Also the party not taking no for an answer and taking part is sweet. God the qte is amazing too holy fucking shit. The music is so tragic, foreboding and epic. It feels so climactic fuck i love it. Also the unique sound for the theme adds so much. If fleeting dream was the end of an empire this feels like the remnants of said empire springing to life for one last fight. Also the fucking beat em up sequences is so fucking good. Ahh the memories of all the characters in the background and with my fav version of majima and saejima themes ahh just adds. Imo it works best for daigo. For face is just an amazing song that sounds tragic already and daigo's tragic relationship with kiryu hits the hardest. And the cutscene afterwards is beautiful i love it. Kiryu saying he isnt doing this to die and slightly admitting fault. The jima's desperately wanting to stay. Shit makes me cry. This is probably my favorite fight in the series narrative wise. Also i forgo to mention you could say this is a culmination of every fight with these guys. A serious brawl, amazing qtes, the energy and difficulty in 7 and a final brawling fight. This part alone makes me enjoy infinite wealth way more as a finale than 6 and this whole interaction is just perfect in everyway. Such an amazing climax for these characters

The scenery the music the memory dome there is so much symbolism in this fight i also really like fact they all looked matured a bit if not a bit older

Last year, i started playing the entire Yakuza franchise and caught up recently, so getting to this part was so HYPE! Everything about this fight is beautiful and really heartfelt considering what all these characters have been through over the games.

Came here just to post a comment I made awhile ago on the fight against Majima in Y3 Remastered. Did I know we'd fight Majima again? No, not really. Am I disappointed? Absolutely not. One of the best fights against the Mad Dog in a LONG time. Saejima and Daigo are just the cherry on top.

Hearing the Jimas' themes from 4 and seeing the memories from the previous games really brings you back when things seem so simple before everything came crashing down on them. For a moment, it was just like old times.

Really wished they gave us the brawler section for the fight with Ebina. Just imagine the background being images of all the previous villains whilst Kiryu is really put down to his last stand. One can only dream.

Daigo without the guns... he really is getting older...

It's one of the best boss fight's I've ever experienced here! As well as the ability to go real-time combat once again on the Tojo boys is just nostalgia...

Hell yeah. This boss fight was amazing, but also weighed heavy the message Kiryu left with them. Seeing Majima's reaction tugs at the heart for sure.

So the theme of Y4 playing in the background during duel against Daigo. One of the most well-known lyrics was " selfish deed's not freedom" . Probably that lyrics meant for Kiryu. As Kiryu as Daigo put it was a selfish person. While the event of Yakuza 1 was devastating to Kiryu. He lost almost everyone he loves. Haruka was the only reason he have to live on. So he left Tojo clan hoping for calm life for him and Haruka. Understandable but abandoning Sera ( maybe Kazama along with Sera) wish for Kiryu to lead Tojo. Bring alot unexpected consequences in the future.

This is the absolute peak of the RGG games. So beautifully made, a true love letter to the fans of these characters and the series as a whole.

I'm on my third playthrough man i can't get enough of this game, i think it might be my favourite game of all time, for me, it's totally blew Yakuza 7 out of the water, a slight spoiler but the only thing i didn't like about the game is that Kume just got brushed off as being caught and getting some jail time, i really wish he had more closure here, after the ending to 7

Best boss in the whole game.

THIS was the difficulty spike in the game for me for sure. I'm almost at the end of my first playthrough. It was really wild seeing all their movesets and as a long time fan go "WHOA i know the timing of these moves! I can perfect guard this!" while also getting spooked by a few new moves as well as majima's doppelganger he did a few times. I have to mention and give props that in infinite wealth in general, they've included the other characters a lot more in the qte scenes as well, which is really cool. It would've been really weird having all the party members disappear during the qte like how 7 was a lot of the time. It further emphasizes how Kiryu really has to "rely on others' strength" now, since he's getting closer to death's door.

it sucks that its not a difficult one like majima's and saejima's in 7 i was overprepared
