I have the c8 and I think the stock exhaust is good enough.

@@rrace002 - near zero gain, but sounds excellent! I’ve put a Borla ATAK on the last 3 vettes I’ve owned, and Stingers before that. Huge difference in the car’s personality. For the C8 I’d do it just to get rid of the square tips, but to each his own. If you’re good with the stock sound, awesome! BTW, congratulations on your C8, it’s an amazing car. ;-)

Tenneco has a lot of thought built into the system. Why people feel the need to change the Tenneco system is beyond me. You really think this sounds better and is needed?

In case you didn’t know, that is the philosophy of economics. That applies to all goods and services. Lol it’s not rocket science.

@@christianm4459 Not everyone wants the obnoxious loud exhaust noise and the S-Type is the best starter to go from and you can add from there! I ended up adding an X-pipe and added 400CEL HFC's to replace the stock CAT's with MAK race pipes to my S550 and people compliment me on the sound everywhere I go.

Just ordered the S-type exhaust as well. Could you let me know how the sound levels are? I'm concerned it might be too quiet. I had the S-type on my 6th Gen Camaro and I absolutely loved the S-type. Hoping it's the same for on my C8!

@@Shaolinxtv Well, at least on my WRX STI (nothing like a C8), it’s fairly loud. Is it the loudest exhaust? No. AWE track and some others are louder. But it sounds really good to me. Makes my little 4banger sound like a mini v8 lol. My all time favorite corvette exhausts are the Billy Boat Bullet systems, but I’m not even sure if they’re around anymore. I’m sure the Borla sounds awesome too though, if they’re anything like what’s on my STI. Good luck!

I never post comments, never. In this case, I honestly have to say, Borla did a fantastic Job. I had my exhaust installed this week by my GM dealer, they followed the very detailed and complete install instructions and reprogrammed the NPP per GM guidance. The Master Mechanic said the Borla was the best system he has installed and he thought it sounded the best as well. I have have no comparison on that (he did because he has installed many other manufactures products). What I can say is, I have no issues at all, zero. NPP functions 100%, the sound is amazing in all modes and zero drone. You do hear the burbles and pops more than stock during shifts, that's a good thing. If you have ever owned a BMW M series you would understand what that sounds like during shifting. I'm a regular customer like you with a 180 Degree view on the same product, it sucks when things don't go well; however, sometimes things fail or the install is not done correctly and so on. That's what a warranty is for. My point of all of this is, to recommend to the would online to pass on this product is in poor form. If you had a larger sample size of failure rates and poor manufacturing, we would have facts that could be evaluated. One case doesn't constitute a bad product. I'm glad to see below, Borla willing to work with you on this. I hope you post an update on the outcome. I also want to be clear, this in no way is an attack. My points are no more important than yours, they are just that, our points/opinions based on our results of the same product. I'm just adding additional data points for the rest of the internet to use when considering this product. Good luck

I felt let down that they did not mention performance at all.

Hi! Unfortunately, these systems will only work with C8s with the NPP performance exhaust from factory. It reuses the factory valve actuators or motors in order to move the NPP valves. C8s without the NPP performance exhaust will not have the NPP valve actuators to close and open the NPP valves in our system.

@@borla The 2023 C8 Z06 has a stock system with a fake exhaust tip in the rear fascia. Engineered to funnel noise into the cabin. Personally, I don't care if they add 200 hp, I despise floating/fake tips. Deal breaker. Will Borla possibly offer an aftermarket system that is fully connected from cat to Tips?? Thank you!

Hello! You can expect 10-12 horsepower and 8-10 lb-ft of torque. The weight reduction from the stock exhaust is 15 pounds.

Finally someone that sees what I see. These fools paying money for exhaust sound with hardly no power gain lol. People need to save the money for the pro charger kit so the base C8 can finally compete with fast mid engine cars.

@@millionairemindset1136 Yeah because the majority of people that choose between Corsa, Borla, and others care about the negligible horsepower gain. Like when has this been true ever? It's a pay to play game.

After installation of the Borla system, the controllers for the AFM and NPP valves in the exhaust system should be re-calibrated according to GM Document ID 5406413. We highly recommend taking your car to the nearest Chevrolet dealer for exhaust valve recalibration services.

Our exhaust systems were developed on a stock C8 Corvette. We would not be able to guarantee fitment with other aftermarket parts. Sorry about that!

You could see the revs in part of the video. Looks stock, I would just guess because of the design it is much more efficient at pushing out exhaust. Don't take my word for it, just a guess

I know. People should just save the money and invest in the procharger kit so the C8 can make some serious horsepower!!!

Hi! The exhaust system that we make for GM is different from our aftermarket exhaust systems. It's not as aggressive as our S-Type and ATAK system.
