I listen to the bass player of Fit For A King’s podcast Get Tucked and he had Aaron from LMTF on an episode and the lyrical background of this song came up. It turns out (from what I remember from the episode) Chris wrote this song about his wife struggling with an auto-immune disease and he was pleading with the universe in the form of the fluorescent lights in the hospital wanting to take her place if she were to pass. Learning that and listening to the song afterwards made me tear up hard. Such a fantastic song and a fantastic album. Love this band forever and always. YOTM.

@Think Taco you must be kidding, because I listen them from the first album and first EP Sweet Talker, at that time they were pretty generic but extremely good and angry. An Eye For An Eye my favorite album I love everything about it, but it was less technical than last album, but still there was some cool leads and brutal rhytm parts. TDTWLF was really good album, even though not a lot of people liked it, it was angry as heck, and the agression my favorite part about this band was from the start. Dark Divine was more melodical and I loved it about it, but heavier songs on this album sounded worse because of mix, it was more for soft songs. EPs Dream Is Dead and Where The Light Refuses To Go - I love it to death. So as you can understand, they're one of my favorite bands of all time, and I listen to them for a pretty long time, and last album was extremely good, and on songs like Servant of Plague, and Spiritual Eclipse you can hear more technicality than always, and on last EP in general.

They got rid of the old drummer due to he only kept the same blast beats and never wanted to explore 4/4 ghost notes which is what Chris roetter wanted so they replaced him as wel as I think they have a new bass or lead guitarist

Am I the only person who feels like the album sound is off? Like it's not as polished..his vocals sound really drowned out, the album sounds like it's supposed to sound phenomenal..but so many things sound too distanced. I can't explain it but nothing comes out even close to as clear as Dark Divine.
