I think it doesn't sound like they are singing "flip it all up" bc the words they are singing are Korean (even if it sounds similar to english i.e. you mentioned thinking you heard the word D J). Anywho, LOVED that you guys actually spent time trying to figure out the message, so many reactors don't. ❤

They DO in fact have actual people, not computers, do their English translations. And at least in the earlier days (which this was), one of the main people to do so was the group's leader himself (the one in the MV who becomes aware and awakens the others) -- who not only wrote the song, not only is bilingual, but is literally Australian and a native English speaker. They meant exactly what the translation says. "뒤집어/dwijibeo" means "flip." This won't be the only time a Korean word will sound similar to an English word -- "쉿" (sounds halfway between "sh1t" and "shwit"), a near homophone they take advantage of on purpose; "agari"/"아가리" as "I got it" (which they do deliberately because they wouldn't have been allowed to actually call a song the equivalent of "Shut Your F*cking Mouth"); words for "I" and "you" that I won't expound on but which, if misheard/misunderstood, are awful in English. It's a good idea to keep these things in mind for future enjoyment of their songs: -- They all understand English. Two of them are native-English-speaking Australians, including the leader, who is also one of the main producers/songwriters; while another is fluent, two more are highly conversational, two are middlingly conversational, and the last has enough to communicate. When they say something in English OR Korean, there are multiple native speakers there; they know exactly what they're saying. -- The translations are made by bilingual humans, not machines, and if the native-English-speaking leader doesn't do them himself, he still sees them before they're released. -- You're naturally going to hear things through an English-speaking filter, so it's helpful to remember that different languages have similar sounds -- and also that SKZ is bilingual and takes advantage of it to make lyrical wordplays.
