Most people’s style isn’t cool or unique enough to get them noticed. You could argue that it’s more efficient to just rip off whatever is popping at the moment, so that you might catch lightning at least once, or like this guy, get some controversy-fueled listens when Lil Baby gives you free press. I had never heard of this dude until 15 seconds ago. I never would’ve heard him at all if he didn’t rip off Lil Baby’s sound.

The crazy thing is people who would never buy a Lil Baby record would buy his if he gets the right marketing and promotion. Remind me of Ghost Face killa and Action Bronson. They have the same cadence but AB's flow is similar to a 90"s GFK. In other words, AB sounds like an old school GFK which is what alot of his fans, including myself, like about AB. Old School GFK was my favorite rapper back in the day .
