Just grabbing a random one of your video comment streams to say something that just occurred to me out of nowhere. I watch a lot of reactors, and I like their reactions (and yours), but y'all are the only ones I go to for their opinions. For the commentary. You're like the Siskel and Ebert of hiphop. Tough, analytical, knowledgeable, fair, but underneath it all, also enthusiastic and insightful. Just wanted to throw that out there. Keep on!

your guys' channel is great keep up the amazing content! George to answer your question, any song that hits a certain spot in my brain that makes me want to play it over again is music worth listening to. an example is in the movie Watchmen, Zack Snyder uses a Bob Dylan song from the 40s i think and i love that song, along with most genres even (except screamo, death metal and the likes of them), but i love old school rap and some new age rap that im opening up to tl;dr if it's good music from the year 1425, bet it's going on my ipod nano

I’m 28, I listen to majorly to electronic music with rnb classical and jazz as my minor. However, as a writer, rap hold a very special place in my heart and I love to discuss and analyse music and rap in the exact same way you guys do. Thank you for being the objective voices in hip hop, it’s something that was lacking in the industry outside of a few industry peeps who even then have their own business centric agenda. For this.... thank yoy

I'm 22. My game is at electronic music, and my library goes to 1992 with Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works. In the rap... I listen to things that might challenge my musical tastes. Lil Dicky, Kdot, Gambino, Immortal Technique, and Tech N9ne are my preferred rappers. Other than that... I'm all about the instrumental side of things, complex musical production in rap tends to be something rare and unusual, and I like that.

It’s awesome that you ask the question what do people listen to. I listen to all types and go way back to early 30’s and 20’s. Now the reason I say it’s awesome you ask that is because music is the heart of society. It heals, motivates, educates, etc. so by being eclectic you have a better understanding of the world you live in. Thank you guys for the videos you make.

Eminem was dorky too ! He started as a LD as far as I remember with Slim Shady persona. :)
@TheComicBookJoker
@TheComicBookJoker 6 лет назад
Maya Bee The Slim Shady persona rapped about murdering his wife (‘Kim’) and having his toddler daughter help get rid of the body (Bonnie and Clyde ‘97). It may have been written in a funny manner, but Eminem always played that character completely straight (in theater terms, ‘playing it straight’ means treating a character as seriously as possible). Comparing Eminem to Lil’ Dicky is like comparing the original ‘The Longest Yard’ to the remake. The original is a drama with some damn funny parts, and the remake is a comedy with some incredibly serious parts. They’re both good movies, and they tell the same story, but they do so in fundamentally different ways.

I only started listening to rap in my early teens and my appreciation of bars came in time and I think that grew my love of music over all. Huge 30's swing fan going on into 50s Motown and rock. I love LD because he's so different to anyone else, his flow is insane but it's not all about the same shit. Rap has been stagnant for a while now with few exceptions but he's a breath of fresh air for sure

To answer your question, I'm 24 and I listen to a LOT of different music. I'm mainly drawn to Rock and Rap (that's including every variation and subgenre of both). Most of it is from the 90s and 00s, but I love some 80s tracks too. I also enjoy music in other languages; namely, Korean (KPop) and Spanish (SnowThaProduct, Shakira...).

To answer the question at the beginning of the video, I started listening to oldie's and rap because of the influence from my dad.. I was born in 91'... like, I love listening to Rose Royce, Player, Rupert Holmes, Deniece Williams, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac and Isley Brother's... Then when it comes to old school rap, Masta Ace, Spice-1, Souls of mischief, Mac Dre(please react She Neva Seen by Mac Dre), Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mac Mall, Geto Boyz, Master P, Nas and Shyne... More modern day poetic lyricist I Rock with some Locksmith, Gigs510, Jeff Turner, Iamsu!, P-Lo, Kool John, immortal technique, Dee-1(react to him too.. his song hood villains), corner Boy P., big K.R.I.T and curren$y... I'm begging ya'll man, please react to Mac Dre's "She Neva Seen" and Dee-1's "Hood Villains"... I swear you won't regret it especially for your lyrical and metaphorical taste

Almost 33 here and I listen to a wide range of music from Patsy Cline, New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, Chris Brown, Usher, Staind, Disturbed, Skillet, Lucero, Ryan Adams, Jimi Hendrix, Brothers and Sisters (very lucky to have the 5 songs of their's that I do have), Cross Canadian Ragweed, Stitch Rivet, Tracy Chapman, Darius Rucker, Zac Brown Band and many more different artists and genres. When I listen to a song, there's something that catches my attention, whether its the beat or just by the way the lyrics of the song makes me feel or how important the meaning of the message meant to me. Music saved my life and still is a very important aspect of my every day life. BTW-Just came across your channel while watching the reaction to Freaky Friday by L.D. and Breezy. Huge fan guys, you're videos bring a great perspective to this music and I truly admire what you've done with this channel. I think it hits home for me cause I'm 23 but my personal playlists includes things like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to Nirvana and Soundgarden to Run DMC to Logic to J Cole to Childish Gambino to Ice Cube and Eminem and Notorious BIG to Tupac and Snoop and I get into some newer alternative shit like Alt J but I like 70s and 80s rock and metal so I love Metallica and Megadeth and Iron Maiden but I like the Cars and the Eagles and Aerosmith and Bad Company and ACDC. I can't really sum it up in a single post to be honest. That was already such a run on sentence but your channel really speaks to me guys. It's right up my alley because all of my life I've been listening to anything and everything and at least giving it a chance. I'm not saying I like every song I hear, just like you guys are proving in these videos, but I think it's so important to be openminded to different genres and styles of music from all different times. There's so much greatness to be found if we're only willing to open ourselves up to it. Thanks for making videos guys, it's been great to follow and experience you guys genuinely reacting to music for what it is.

I listen to any type of music I can find, as a kid my parents exposed me to everything from classical, classic rock and country to jazz, blues, and big band. Im also a huge fan of Motown and I grew up in Houston so I love rap from newer styles to the classics. this is why i love watching your videos because you cover alit bit of everything..... To properly answer your question though I listen to anything as far back as I guess Johann Sebastian Bach

I love all music man. Lately its been the 'golden age of rap' lyrical creativity and diversity or complexity at its highest and finest , when a colab group, solo artist or self made artists sang non- repetitive verses especially multiple ones. That ers had really good storybook-telling flow in their lyrics. There are a few since then that come close to those staples of influential giants .

I’m 27, and when it comes to rap, I go back to the mid nineties mostly. I feel like people listen to what has been around throughout their lifetimes. That being said, I grew up in a country/Christian household and I didn’t really listen to rap until college.

I've been listening metal since I was 3. Got into 70s rock then Motown, branched into classical, opera, and showtunes, soul and 1920s jazz. Started seriously listening to hip hop when I was 11, but I've always loved metal, I just love epic music! I'm a musician myself so no surprise I became obsessive about it young.

So I’m a new subscriber and have been binge watching your videos! Haha. But I’m only 18 and listen to all genres between all dates! I’m southern so naturally I gravitate more towards country and listen to hank Williams Sr. Often which is in the early 1900s. With Hop hip I actually prefer the 80s/90s like NWA but can also tolerate the real old school like Sugarhillgang. I believe a good song is a good song and all genres from all times always have at least one good song within them! 😁 thanks for making your videos and keeping us entertained on an unbiased level !
