I liked how the first game over wasn't really because of bad decisions, or mistakes done in the game. But simply telling a massive dragon that their name sucks
If I had a nickel for every animated fluffy-haired 12 year old girl with a dead mom and a dad that foists his job onto her, I'd have two nickels. ... Which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice. (I bet Molly EpithetErased and Lil would get along great, though!) Thanks for the playthrough! I was cheering Lil on the whole time and the end was super cute. ❤ Good story.
Anyone else really confused at the end of Level 10? I know it was optional, but King Oswin’s ghost told Lil that Tyronius murdered him and Lil doesn’t immediately tell Desdemona when she sees her straight afterwards, only saying “He got main villain energy” and not “He murdered your father”. You’d think Lil would have immediately rushed to the castle to tell Desdemona but she went back to the tavern to sleep and only met Desdemona and Chuck by coincidence.
Then again, the monster manual showed no one believes in ghosts. Heck, her own father didn't believe in time travel when she first spoke up about it, so do you think Desdemona was going to also figure Lil' somehow spoke to her dead father about his real killer?
because it's difficult to... convince some one that the ghost of your father(also gotta point out: no one believes in them) told that he was murdered by tyronius by putting poison in his ears
3:54:27 In Latine he's saying: You are a guest in this kingdom. Did you bring the usual gifts? Here the sacrifice of a goat is required if you wish to avoid death. 4:04:05 According to google translate this says: The Demon had never seen a creature like guardian Lil, who appeared before him that day. She did not understand a word he was saying, and at last she disappeared for a long time. Could do without any experience, if we're honest. He was having a rough day and it certainly wasn't made any better by some girl interrupting him at intervals so he could get on with his day. Some nerve.
The writing in this game is so damn good. I feel like the ending kinda flops, though... I feel like it'd be better if there was more of a show of the cast of characters that she allowed or denied or jailed. Their characters really made this game feel so warm and well loved... the ending feels a bit strange by comparison.
FYI, if you follow this guide, you'll lose the last battle in the war. Here's more info on how to draft some of the characters: Level 8: Draft the Elmer John and Bosco and send Glory Ann home. No tools needed, but you can use the x-ray and then the decoder ring on Elmer John for some more info if you want. Level 9: Draft Professor Phogg only if you confiscated the blowtorch from Chloe in Level 2 (you get a chance to buy it back from Garby the night before for 4 gold if you sold it to him) - use the x-ray to see he intends to power his balloon with only a lighter. Then give him the blowtorch and draft him. Draft Peaches by calling Malcolm, then use the Bullwhip and give it to the dragon rider. Draft Kaboose by using the x-ray to confiscate his bomb. Level 11: You can either draft Meribella and Captain Jane Pigeon OR you can draft Dennis. Draft Meribella using interrogate (trust), interrogate (trust) again, and decoder ring. Draft Captain Jane by using the x-ray to get some beer (otherwise they'll be too drunk to fight well). Only if you didn't draft the other two, draft Dennis - you can get more info using the decoder ring, x-ray, or truth serum but you don't need it.
Hey! Thank you so much for providing extra information on the drafting process on all the battles, it will definately be helpful to all the viewers when it comes to their drafting choices! As for the third battle, I did misunderstand the Captain's conversatiom a bit which lead to me not drafting them and as a result losing the battle. However, as long as you win two of the three battles, it should still lead to getting the best ending achievement. However, if you want the two extra achievements of winning the naval battle as well as winning all the battles, then your help on the third battle will help with that so thank you once again :)
I find it extremely hilarious that prince Finius was bold enough to declare war on the Sprawl. Remember, all he knew at that point was that he lost to the chase and princess Desdemona would be marrying Praetor Kargan of the Marvagh Empire, y'know? The empire of experienced warmongers that hunt people for fun and drink fking blood as beverage? Prince Finius could not have known about the Chuck revelation, so he should've taken the Marvagh Empire into consideration before waging war since Praetor Kargan was marrying princess Desdemona as per the initial plan. I mean who the fk would wage war against a nation backed by one of the most skilled warrior army there is? Like, can you imagine if it was 1206 and some random-ass king in Asia declared war against the Mongol Empire because Genghis Khan stole his chick?
@@crimsononaut_in_space im not hating, im just stating fact. the genre of the game is comedy. the plot is pointless and ends in a joke, therefore it wastes your time.
I can't believe I watched 3 hours straight of this video yesterday and watched the rest in one sitting today. It's a good game, but I definitely would have been able to do something a lot more meaningful if I watched this throughout multiple days but I couldn't get enough! Awesome game, I would have definitely played it first hand if my computer had the storage haha.
This is adorable. Garby Bunches (or whatever his name is) reminds me of Smilin' Stan S. Stanman (from Monkey Island), only without a "fashionable" jacket and his hands stay put.
The Devil!'s entry at the end of level 6: he had never seen a demon created like a lil guardian. Who appeared before him at random that day. He did not utter a word, and at last she disappeared for a long time. He could do without any experience, if we are honest. He was having a rough day and it certainly didn't get any better when he was interrupted by some girl at intervals so that he could keep his date with some nerves. (Google translate)
@@SuperTim-cr8hi I'm guessing for them, but considering what the 4-Star description was, you seem to have to essentially mug the painter...along with others
@@QuickSilverKitsune I’mma level with ya, not the person I thought would answer me but I don’t mind…so thanks for helping me out there Mr/Miss QuickSilverKitsune
this game is really great! everything from the characters and objective have so much charm! the only thing I didn’t like with was how day 12 went. some other minor things, but mostly day 12. these are some of my thoughts I’d like to share. the ending boss felt a little underwhelming, and a little rushed too. it just wasn’t hitting for me for how the whole premise was to get a thing which leads to another to lead to getting the chronometer back. it just doesn’t feel fulfilling to me. Tyronius I feel like could’ve been built up more to be a better villain apart from just the “oh I want power and I can time travel better than you” kind of motive. plus, he only appeared in like an 1/8th of this entire playthrough. he could’ve been a more recurring threat, making each day harder by doing smth. I dunno how, but I just feel like he should’ve been more of a danger as days went on. I hope they add more animations and sprites to the game as well. Lil could use some more life to her by giving more intense expressions at some moments. and that says the same for most of the characters. they all have the same pose with maybe one or two having different facial sprites. and in general, the only animation present is whenever Lil jumps of the chair, or when she’s walking around. otherwise, it’s just a single png. that’s really all I have on my mind. this game is spectacular, but I think it could use some touch up here and there!
4:04:06 if anyone was wondering what roughly it said here I translated it into this (I put it in Google translate so it might not be accurate) “The demon had never seen a creature like the lil guardian who landed randomly in front of him that day. He did not understand the word she was saying, and at last it disappeared for a long time. He carried it without any experience, if we are honest he was having a rough day and it certainly wasn't made any better by some girl interrupting him at intervals so he could get on with his day. Some nerves”
Lil confiscating the most random stuff: Sorry, I’m gonna need this for reasons. To save the kingdom. And no, I’m not allowed to disclose how. The Sprawl thanks you for your service.
One thing I'm confused I thought the chronometer was synced so that lil was the only one to use it so how th3 did tyronius even get the chance to use it?
we can see that hamish can still kinda use it towards to begining, tyronius has been studying magic crystals so there.s good chance he might have been able to use some kind of magic to help him slightly? it does seem like a stretch tbh but in the end using the chronometer DID end up biting him in the ass just took a wee bit longer. hell with only one real use durning this playthrough Lil ends up with a random forced trip across time and space!(the bits with the devil guy) now with the end bit with bea, there does seem to be more to learn about this timetraveling tech so maybe we views might find out the real reason someday
3:18:43 I wish putting the town on high alert made you get a game over. If you played this segment, ya know why I think that. Plus the jail has a werewolf, pretty sure if he went anthro down there any prisoners being dropped in there are bloody pulp.
3:50:07 When he said "the GLA has planned" my brain just think about the GLA from Command and conquest general Global Liberation Army. Also 5:41:08 it's that a nuke. 6:17:10 The ghost finders or should I say ghost busters
