She went too far I agree, but part of it was from being punched in the face and physically abused by one of her exes. On top of an industry that shits all over dark skinned black women, including the men in her life that always preferred lighter skinned women.

Someone else may have added this since I’m a year late to this reaction but this was Timbaland (from Timbaland & Magoo that produced for Aaliyah & Missy Elliot) and producer Swiss Beats (him & singer Alicia Keys are married) that produced this song. Also, almost all of the men standing with her in the clips from the street or by the jeep are a bunch of well known rappers or producers from NY (where Kim is from; Brooklyn) Mr Cheeks is the guy at the end talking. Kim also takes a few bars from Big songs like “believe me sweetie I got enough to feed the needy”. She rapped “coming through in the Brooklyn Mint gear, we gon do this just like Big Poppa was here” obviously Big Poppa is Biggie, but Brooklyn Mint is the name of the clothing company Big was starting before he died. Kim’s albums after Big died were hard!! I think she was diving into her music to try to keep her mind off of Big’s death. She has a few songs that make me cry that are about him “hold on” featuring Mary J and “Heavenly Father” idk how she made it through without breaking down.
