Sup Majin, i was the King you fought on Stratosphere, was a pleasure! I used to just shout for money matches at majors so maybe thats why you might've heard/seen my tag. I was a Kunimitsu/Armor King player so thats why im messing with King right now. Anyways, GGs again, hope to run into you on the rank ladder again 🤙🏽
This is my first time playing Tekken since Tekken 3. I picked up Jun, due to the gawd level drip she already has. Im having a blast!! Thanks for piquing my interest in Tekken a few years ago man!
What I was using getting started as a BNB was uf4 > 1 > b1> 2 > shining wizard! It does decent damage off the launch to get started 😊. Also I just threw the fuck out of everyone
@@andersonneil2293after uf4, you can get in a 4, dash, df4,3, to b1,2. Or, just skip the 4 and go right to df,4,3 if you can’t get the dash timing. Also works with counter-hit CD1+2 (black bomb), and ws1+2
Get into heat with an engager; either whiff-punish with f2,1, or if they’re mashing or you think they’ll press, use muscle armor 2. If they crouch a lot, grab them with d1+4. When in heat, you’re gonna want to grab more because it recovers heat (giant swing, shining wizard and d1+4) and do Jaguar Run mixups because it gets armor in heat.
@thedirectorscut4848 Bro, goodnight. Salutations. You had Majin asking the whole chat if you were a known good player. You actually beat him in a few battles well and you have great combos with Feng. Smart player and I know nothing about Tekken and don't play. I appreciate how you anticipate some of his steps and moves and attack 1 step ahead. You have great reaction times too and broke almost all of his famous grabs. Tough loss at the end there but fantastic game build from you. Nice name too. It was like a movie watching you duel with Majin.
Happy as a clam. There is no better pro to watch in just casual, fun play than Majin. Laid back enjoayble commentary, showing off all of my boy King's awesomeness. About halfway through this but it's been great.
I could watch this King gameplay all day and I've never really played Tekken. I've always mained MK but I'm thinking about jumping in and trying to learn this.
My lord, I was unlucky to miss the launchday and weekend due to sudden family stuff! Been looking forward to this forever... Lilmajin, you are my channel and the one literally channeling TEKKEN 8 for me this weekend! Thank you so much! Best Regards, fellow Kingmain!
Not sure how often everyone is using down back 3. But it gives a guaranteed ground grab attempt on counter hit. Very good to punish people spamming jabs and highs.
I really chuckle when people are just getting into Tekken 8, and they ask what a good beginner character is I've been a King main Since Tekken 1 so I'm a huge fan of Lil Majin, just play characters and find the one you "vibe" with for me those were Lei Wulong (RIP) King, Bryan Fury, Eddy Gordo and a shout out to Feng Wei being my main during Tekken 6!
Hey Majin! Love the content bro. On the topic of a guide for King in T8, if it’s not too much but it’s one thing I’m struggling with as a king player, are you able to cover his wave dash and maybe how to cancel moves into another move. All good if you don’t, thought I’d ask. All love either way
You make king look easy. Iv just jumped on takken 8, haven’t played tekken since tekken 3 and 4. I used to play king as a kid so Iv jumped to using him. He feels good but I’m defo getting whooped by tekken heads who never left the game. Good to see how you use king. And you are easily the most chilled fighting game player I have ever seen. Win, loose you stay cool 😂
I’ve crashed less when I disabled cross play. Crashes only occur in online mode for me so I assume it’s that. It’s not 100% guaranteed to fix but I’ve only crashed maybe 2 times during a 2 hour session compared to 7+ times in the span of less than 2 hours with cross play enabled
0 crashes so far but terrible performance. I can play cyberpunk with path tracing but this game at 1440p i have to play medium settings with dlss performance.
The culture around gaming is super wierd with FGs compared to others. Usually the best, most intelligent, competitive gamers are on PC. Period. I could expound but I don't want to write a paragraph. But yet the best fighting game players are always on playstation. A very wierd phenomenon. A high end PC with a 240-360hz monitor will have less input lag for two reasons, GPU will have less GPU render time between creating frames. And a high refresh rate monitor will always have less input latency EVEN WHEN YOU'RE GAMING BELOW THE REFRESH RATE. While console has an okay amount compared to PC, which is around a 2070 level of GPU, its wierd that pros didn't just buy high end PCs to get that extra 2-5ms in input latency. Hopefully pros realize the benefits of high end rigs and will switch over because it absolutely makes no competitive sense to stay on playstation.
@@johnsonjunior547FGC tournaments will 9 times out of 10 have consoles so that's what many of them practice on, some even though they have a good PC Ain't like the FPS, MOBAs and what not where they have actual setups the teams.
@@TheVirginMeri High end tournaments shouldn't be renegaded to consoles. That's just the culture. I understand lower end tournaments though like locals.
@@johnsonjunior547 Only events that should 100% have PCs are dev events like Capcom Cup and TWT Finals. Even for reputable events like CEO and Combo Breaker I imagine that's an expenss they can't really handle
@@TheVirginMeri Yeah I agree, plus they would need to find rigs that are easy to get from a prebuilt supplier in bulk. Monitors are very important too but I feel like emphasis isn't put on that for some reason. Depending on the hz and actual model, it can be a 2-5ms difference. At the very least, they could do that, but I'm not sure if ps5 forces 60hz on any monitor. Even if the logic for pros playing on console was they wanted to get used to the input latency, that doesn't really work for me. Because the timing of attacks will be the same, its just the responsiveness will feel worse. If they really wanted to prepare for tournaments, you could just use a monitor with a shitton of input delay then boom, you'll be ready for anything. But they don't do that. You even see melee pros playing on their own PC setups and for tourneys, they jump onto CRT monitors and nintendo consoles no problem. Nevermind the streaming aspect, the quality of streams in the fighting game community is atrocious.
Lil majin man i did your streams i hope you come back to competitive tekken. Digging your energy man stay humble. Much respect from another King player😸release the Beast.
i declined a few wifi matches on ranked but not all … i had some good wifi matches that played well …but the wired connections are night and day difference for sure
New to Tekken myself, i rented tag 2 once with my brother and I played Lars but for T8 i want to play Kazuya. I can crouch dash pretty ok in practice but in a match i fall apart and i can't get an electric to save my life. Feels unfair when other characters can hopkick and df2 to start their combos and i gotta wiggle the joystick around 😅
Man anyone else get kinda screwed by Amazon? I ordered probably a week ago at least and at first it said I was getting it on march 11th, that went down to Feb 5th at least but still kind of a bummer…
Is it just me or is isw waaaaaaaay easier to execute in this game? Is that something already we’ll known? In t7, I could never execute isw exactly in front of them, but In t8 I pull it off every time
Do you use a joystick or controller. I was recently at a university tournament and they were using joysticks and one that looked like a joystick but the directional buttons were actually just buttons.
The only thing I don't like about the new fighting games is everybody's made of rubber so they just like bounce 10 ft up in the air every time they hit the ground that's not realistic and they just added it to continue combo strings we're taking used to be more realistic style fighting unlike Street Fighter with fireballs and dragon punches but now it's becoming just as ridiculous
My biggest issue with tekken has been that since Tekken one, but I love 3D fighting games and DOA is the only other Simi popular one but good luck getting a match online in DOA 😅
